The Gods bless their followers with great power, so much so that it overflows one's mortal vessel into the air beyond. This phenomenon is known as a raiment and usually manifests as rays of light surrounding one's head. In particularly blessed individuals, the effect is more acute -- Aurelia VII is said to be able to coat her whole body in the Host's light in the form of holy armor.
A raiment's color and sheen are derived from the deity that bestowed the blessing: followers of the Host tend to have pearlescent, shimmering raiments, while followers of the Judge have radiant golden raiments. The color and form allow for variations based on the individual, but generally speaking, one can tell how blessed (and by whom) someone is at a glance.
