Josh:Shut the fuck up.
Josh:Ah!
Mike:shit oh and limbo
Josh:Why?
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:Yeah, well... Yeah, normally I'm the only one here on time.
Josh:Hello!
Jorge:I didn't like that.
Josh:Well...
Tanner:Sorry, Jorge.
Tanner:We're all here.
Tanner:Well, not all.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:Normally it's just me awkwardly with Craig, and then I don't stay long enough that Craig leaves.
Josh:You know... Yeah, I get those notifications every once in a while when I'm like, I'll be ten minutes late.
Josh:I get a separate message from Craig when it starts recording, and then I get another message that says, I didn't hear anybody talking, so I left.
Josh:I'm like, oh.
Jorge:Yeah, it happens to me a lot.
Mike:Rags, snitches.
Tanner:He doesn't like silence.
Josh:See, what's...
Josh:What's interesting is... Oh, well, Mike is a robot right now, so that's for you, Mike.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:Beep, beep, boop-bop, boop-bop, beep.
Josh:But whenever... Yeah, no, it's... That's... No.
Mike:Beep, beep.
Tanner:Oh, wait, that's actually fun.
Tanner:Give us a little more of that.
Mike:Is this tenable for the session?
Mike:Oh, OBS has joined us.
Jorge:Maybe if you were tech.
Josh:No.
Josh:That's me.
Mike:I don't see you.
Josh:I'm OBS.
Josh:That's my name.
Mike:Am I still a robot?
Josh:Mr. Of.
Josh:Yes, you are.
Mike:Just how it's going to have to be.
Josh:You okay?
Noah:Howdy.
Tanner:Yeah, major congrats to Jorge.
Jorge:Howdy.
Josh:Hello!
Noah:Hey Jorge.
Noah:Congrats.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Thank you, thank you.
Tanner:Woo!
Jorge:Thank you, thank you.
Tanner:Very exciting.
Josh:Uh, Mike and I are outnumbered now.
Mike:Am I robot?
Tanner:That's fine.
Jorge:You guys gotta step on.
Tanner:Oh, is that...
Jorge:You gotta start speed dating.
Josh:Yeah, clearly.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:I want speed dating now from you two.
Josh:Sure.
Jorge:Yeah, yeah.
Josh:You are still a robot.
Jorge:Yeah.
Noah:Yep.
Josh:Listen, there's actually a really easy way for Mike and I to even the numbers there without speed dating.
Tanner:Who says no?
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:You're right.
Tanner:Who says no?
Mike:I'll be back.
Josh:Oh, okay.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:That's fine, I guess.
Tanner:Oh my god.
Josh:I'm not hurt.
Mike:Am I still a robot?
Noah:No.
Jorge:No.
Tanner:Oh!
Josh:I kind of wish you were.
Josh:You said no.
Noah:He could have said thanks.
Mike:Why?
Mike:Because you proposed to me?
Mike:Are you afraid of the consequences, Josh?
Mike:I said I'll be right back!
Mike:Which was a no, yeah.
Jorge:He fled, which is worse.
Josh:Yeah, that's a no.
Mike:It was a no.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:He fled.
Mike:You're right, that's way worse.
Josh:Are you saying that because it happened?
Jorge:All right, quick question here.
Jorge:Has anyone's parents... Did anyone's parents here get... Did any of your parents have a failed proposal with your parent?
Tanner:What do you mean?
Tanner:Oh, I don't think so.
Mike:I have no idea.
Jorge:Like, did your dad propose and your mom said no, but then he proposed again later and he said yes?
Noah:wait after the smack before we get into the smack can we hear about how you proposed after the smack
Jorge:Good, because I'm about to talk some smack.
Jorge:So in school, there was... Yeah.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:Wait, real quick.
Jorge:Oh, yeah.
Mike:For me, my parents are divorced.
Mike:It probably would have been better if you were talking smack.
Mike:like for me it's like did they i don't know like it's not of consequence right now but anyways yeah continue interesting causation there
Jorge:No, I just knew someone in middle school.
Jorge:And she's like, yeah, my dad proposed four times before my mom said yes.
Jorge:But she was also a jerk.
Jorge:And I remember being like, oh, that's crazy.
Jorge:And then when I got older, I was like, I know why she's a jerk.
Jorge:Anyway.
Jorge:Anyway.
Noah:Bye-bye.
Josh:Wow.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:The proposal went well.
Jorge:I was telling most people I knew that I was going to propose to her for a while.
Jorge:And what's funny is there were so many times where we were at the same party.
Jorge:And I was like, I'm going to propose to her.
Jorge:I'm going to propose.
Jorge:And then everyone knew besides her.
Jorge:But she didn't know, which is good.
Jorge:And I know she didn't know because the ruse is we were going to get dinner with my sister somewhere near us.
Jorge:And then we were going to make a sidetrack to look at the skyline.
Jorge:And I did on one of the piers that overlooks NYC.
Jorge:Because we were supposed to get dinner at 630 with my sister.
Jorge:And she didn't start getting ready until she was at six.
Jorge:She was still in her pajamas on our bed.
Jorge:So I was like, fucking nailed it.
Jorge:She would have been doing so much makeup and stuff right now if she knew.
Jorge:So yeah, yeah, it went well.
Jorge:She did not expect it.
Jorge:My sister was hiding.
Jorge:My sister was just like hoodie up with a camera hiding.
Jorge:And then her husband was like pretending to be homeless, just like on the ground.
Jorge:Apparently, he was going to bring used beer cans and a bottle of whiskey, but then he was like, I was worried that Bailey would stop to try to help me, which would have been so funny.
Noah:Mm-hmm.
Jorge:Yeah, and then got good photos of it.
Jorge:She said yes, and it was good.
Jorge:I was originally going to do it elsewhere.
Jorge:I was actually going to do Per Se, but then I was just like, dinners at Per Se have to be kind of early because it's like a three-hour meal.
Jorge:So I was like, it's kind of hard to do this.
Jorge:And then I know her family would want to come up the same day or the next day.
Jorge:And I was like, we'd have to do Per Se if it was relatively early on Saturday to have enough time after work to do it.
Jorge:And then her family would probably have to come over on Sunday.
Jorge:And I was like, no one wants people over at the house on Sunday.
Jorge:So better do it Friday so people can come over on Saturday.
Jorge:So then after it, we had a nice dinner.
Jorge:Quality bistro.
Jorge:Very good.
Jorge:The guy next to us bought caviar for us, and then we also... The restaurant covered all our drinks.
Tanner:Thank you.
Jorge:Very classy.
Noah:Oh.
Jorge:And free dessert.
Jorge:And then... Yeah.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:And we haven't booked anything yet, but I would foresee the wedding being like 30 people.
Josh:Huh?
Jorge:So it will just be immediate family and then you guys for me.
Jorge:And then...
Jorge:Yeah, because I did the math out.
Jorge:We were doing the math out.
Jorge:And so we're both from big families.
Jorge:So she's one of five.
Jorge:I'm one of four.
Jorge:But all of our siblings are married.
Jorge:And then some of my siblings have kids.
Jorge:And some of her siblings will have babies by then.
Jorge:Just siblings, their kids, and our parents is 23 people.
Tanner:Mm-hmm.
Jorge:And then if I want one cousin, I basically have to have a 150-person wedding.
Jorge:Because if I want my cousin Amanda, her husband, Samungay, has to go.
Jorge:And she has three daughters.
Jorge:But one of her daughters is also really, really close with another one of our cousins, Adriana.
Jorge:And Adriana also loves Bailey.
Jorge:She goes out of her way to talk to her every time she sees her.
Jorge:So you need to invite Amanda, plus her husband, plus her two kids.
Jorge:So that's four.
Jorge:Plus Adriana, five.
Jorge:But Adriana has two sisters who also love me, so I can't only let one of their sisters go, so both their sisters have to go.
Jorge:And then she has a brother, but he's there, so he has to go.
Jorge:He's in the house.
Jorge:And then my aunt's there, so then it turns into them, but then if I invite my aunt, so it just turns into this whole fucking... Yeah, yeah.
Tanner:So your options were either very small or very large.
Tanner:And you went very small.
Jorge:And neither of us want a big wedding, so... Yeah.
Tanner:There you go.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:It'll be good.
Jorge:I showed Josh and Mike the ring when they were over at Tanner's for Tanner's Bachelor.
Tanner:Well, now I have something to say about this because I was on Discord playing video games with my brother.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Thank you.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:And I saw your story on Instagram and I was like, this looks like an engagement picture.
Tanner:And Tyler was like, oh yeah, I saw the ring last week.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:And I was like...
Jorge:I don't know where you were.
Jorge:So while you guys were leaving, I was showing it to Josh, and then, like, Tyler and then, like, some of the other friends came over, and then you were, like, by the door.
Jorge:So I was like, all right, I guess Tyler doesn't want to see it.
Jorge:See ya.
Noah:When Jorge sent me the picture, I got the little preview on my phone, and Jorge only ever sends me pictures when they're memes.
Noah:And I was in between things.
Noah:I was like, oh, I'll look at this later.
Noah:Then three hours later, I saw it, and I was like, ugh.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:I also got sent the picture because I don't go on Instagram, and I was like, what, were they in Jersey City or something?
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:They're like the New York City.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:Oh!
Mike:I was just like, oh, okay.
Mike:He's not like, we were there.
Mike:He's something way more important.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:And the thing was, too, is I was going to do it at... I was going to get a hotel at this hotel called Addition.
Jorge:We went to one of their... They only have like 10 locations.
Jorge:We went to the one in Iceland, and it was like the best hotel ever.
Jorge:But the cool part about it was just how great the staff was on top of the nice stuff.
Jorge:So I called the addition here.
Jorge:And then they were kind of jerks.
Jorge:And I was like, well, this is just not going to be nice.
Jorge:It's just going to be like, wow, the one in Iceland was just better.
Jorge:So then I was Googling places to do it in the city.
Jorge:And everyone kept saying, do it in Long Island City because of the views.
Jorge:And I was like, all right, well.
Jorge:We almost... What I did on Tuesday is I was like, oh, we went out to dinner near there.
Jorge:Oh, she's here.
Jorge:Oh, she left.
Tanner:Wait, tell Bailey congratulations.
Noah:Congratulations, Bailey.
Noah:Oh, okay.
Tanner:You can say it out loud.
Jorge:Um...
Tanner:You are the worst.
Josh:She's gone.
Josh:Once she's left the room, can't interact anymore.
Jorge:And interact.
Jorge:So then I was like, oh, we should admire the skyline.
Jorge:And she's like, OK.
Jorge:So then I just went out of my way for the next four days to keep being like, we need to admire the skyline while we're here.
Jorge:Eventually we're going to move, or we're not going to have the skyline.
Jorge:So she's like, this is kind of weird, but OK.
Jorge:So we kept going.
Jorge:And then that's why when I did the decoy on Friday, it was unexpected.
Josh:I like how the plan is, act slightly unhinged for an extended period of time so that becomes the new baseline.
Jorge:Well, to be fair, she actually was just like, you have been crazy this week.
Jorge:Because there'd be times where I would have to lie, so I would just not finish thoughts.
Jorge:And then I was like, sorry, my ADHD is bad.
Jorge:So then she point blank asked me, does ADHD come in waves?
Jorge:And I was like, yeah, obviously.
Jorge:And I was just incoherent this week.
Tanner:Of course.
Noah:Ugh.
Jorge:Because I was also going to do it early.
Jorge:I will say early twice.
Jorge:Then my sister was like, don't propose on a Tuesday.
Jorge:That's stupid.
Jorge:Don't propose on a Friday.
Jorge:It's silly.
Jorge:I can't do Thursday.
Jorge:So I was like, all right.
Jorge:Friday it is.
Jorge:And yeah, it worked.
Jorge:And I told her mom last.
Jorge:Like, she was the last.
Jorge:Like, her family was the last group to know.
Jorge:Mostly because they interact with her the most.
Jorge:Like, I could tell my family, my friends.
Jorge:I could tell my sister's friends.
Jorge:And they don't really talk to her.
Jorge:I told her mom on Sunday.
Jorge:And she accidentally almost spilled it on Monday or Tuesday.
Jorge:which was really funny.
Jorge:And then I was like, wow.
Tanner:Yeah, see, I did not tell anybody.
Josh:Thank you.
Tanner:I was like, ain't nobody cracking this.
Jorge:You didn't ask for permission?
Tanner:Well, I did, but the morning of.
Jorge:Well done.
Tanner:I was like, hey, would it be all right if I married Liz?
Tanner:And he was like, yeah, of course, of course.
Tanner:You know, there was more to it than that.
Tanner:And he's like, do you know, like, when you're going to do it?
Tanner:And I was like, actually, I'm probably going to do it today.
Tanner:And he's like...
Jorge:That's dope, because her mom was telling me, she's like, you shouldn't be waiting.
Jorge:You don't need to wait, just because if her sister's going to have kids, you don't need to wait for the perfect moment.
Jorge:I was like, oh, it's fine.
Jorge:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jorge:Are you free on Saturday?
Jorge:And she's like, what?
Jorge:I was going to clean the house.
Jorge:And I was like, well, you know, something might be happening on Friday.
Jorge:You might be nice if you're over on Saturday.
Mike:I think it's very funny to be like, oh, you know what?
Jorge:But yeah.
Mike:We haven't checked out the manhole cover at the end of this block in some time.
Mike:What the fuck?
Mike:And it just becomes a daily thing.
Mike:And for Tanner, when Jorge is like, you didn't ask for permission, it would have been very gangster if you were like, I asked for forgiveness.
Mike:It's just like...
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:No, no, I did ask.
Tanner:I did.
Tanner:I told him the morning of, and I told her sister because she took pictures.
Mike:By the way, this is a proposal that you're taking pictures of.
Josh:you
Tanner:So.
Tanner:There's something beautifully ironic about the mild amount of gaslighting that takes place leading up to an engagement.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:I think her mom, because her mom generally does not like lying.
Jorge:Fair quality trait.
Jorge:But when I was talking about this, I could see her being like, hmm.
Jorge:And then we're talking about it after with the family.
Jorge:And then I was just like, didn't you lie to her on Tuesday?
Jorge:When you all went, she's like, I did do that.
Jorge:Yeah, yeah.
Jorge:It's like, yeah, you gotta lie, I guess.
Jorge:Hopefully these are the last sets of lies.
Jorge:at least big ones, maybe like little other things.
Jorge:But then the only other that, that I was just like unloading these burdens I've had, because I've been sitting on this ring for a while.
Jorge:It was pretty funny though.
Jorge:And then like, I was like, remember that one time I was late and she's like, yeah, that was really weird.
Jorge:When we're going to teen sympathy, I was like, yeah, I was picking up the ring from the jeweler over there.
Jorge:And he was late.
Jorge:I was so fucking pissed.
Jorge:She was like, yeah, you were five minutes late.
Jorge:But for me, she's like, that is crazy.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:Very punctual guy.
Noah:Good quality.
Mike:That's so funny.
Mike:You remember when I... Yeah.
Jorge:Remember how early I used to get to classes in college?
Noah:Yes.
Josh:That's a negative trait, I think.
Jorge:Oh, I wasn't late.
Mike:Yeah, you create expectations for other people to be on time.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:For the two classes that we took together in that lecture, I had to get there like 10 minutes early because you would leave the apartment and it would be awkward if I didn't come with you.
Josh:It was rude.
Jorge:One of the times we were there was when that guy was trying to become a friend with us.
Noah:I told Daisy that story.
Josh:Yeah, the first day of classes.
Noah:I told Daisy that story.
Noah:And now whenever I tell her anything about you, Jorge, she's like, oh, is Jorge still not making new friends?
Noah:It was so funny.
Jorge:Well, I had enough.
Jorge:I didn't need more.
Jorge:If I made friends with him, let's be honest, I wouldn't still be talking to him now.
Jorge:What would have been the point?
Jorge:What would have been the point?
Josh:I have another friend.
Josh:What do you mean?
Tanner:No.
Jorge:Another friend that's just going to drop off?
Tanner:He was useless.
Mike:Another person he needs to invite to the wedding, Josh?
Jorge:No.
Mike:Yeah, right.
Josh:That's fair.
Josh:You know, if... I'm sorry.
Noah:They get 31 people?
Noah:That's way too many people.
Noah:Then if he invites that dude, he's got to invite that dude's wife, and they might have kids.
Josh:I wasn't thinking far enough ahead.
Noah:Then those kids might also know some people who know... Congrats.
Mike:Ugh.
Mike:He's really close with his brother.
Jorge:Yeah, no, it's a slippery slope.
Jorge:Yeah, so the more you know.
Jorge:The more you know.
Josh:Do you guys want to get TPK'd now?
Josh:Now that we're in a good mood?
Mike:Oh, fuck.
Noah:No.
Mike:I forgot we were right in the middle of it.
Mike:I forgot what we did.
Mike:And it was zoomed in on like a different window when I was like moving stuff earlier.
Mike:And I was like, we were in foundry.
Mike:What were we?
Mike:And I just, I see it now.
Noah:I hate that his injured is still super green.
Josh:Yeah, well... Sorry?
Jorge:Wait.
Noah:And also this dragon.
Josh:I don't know what you're talking about.
Josh:He's been in...
Josh:It's just a little guy.
Josh:So do we want to give a recap, maybe?
Josh:Yeah, sure.
Noah:Yeah, last time we finished up the fight with the corpse of the Archive, which is still unexplained.
Noah:We don't really know what that means.
Noah:We, at first, were like, oh no, and then five seconds later, we're like, you fools, and wiped the floor with the Paper Prophet and the Shagoths.
Josh:Show goths.
Josh:Sure.
Noah:We looted some folks for some cool stuff, and then we were like, all right, we need to get back on track.
Noah:We need to get back on track.
Noah:We went down to Violet level, and we're like, okay, everyone, we're going to hide, and then we'll jump out, and then we'll strike, and it'll be amazing.
Noah:We're going to sneak in, maybe.
Noah:There was a couple different plans, but that was the essence of it.
Noah:And then we looked right outside and discovered Ultraviolet.
Noah:So we were like, well, that sucks.
Noah:We were like, well, let's go check out the other room with beacon storage, I think it is.
Noah:And we walked down and we saw a whole bunch of people that we knew and a couple people we didn't know.
Noah:But among the people we knew were maybe Hallie and Tenno outside of their orb.
Noah:And also the Rampart.
Noah:We chatted with them for a little bit.
Noah:Lev was like, what do you mean?
Noah:It is me, your colleague.
Noah:And the Rampart was not having any of that.
Noah:Then I got punched in the face really hard twice.
Noah:We beat up Rampart's friends, so Rampart hopped worlds and summoned a dragon.
Josh:That did happen, yeah.
Josh:I'm trying to think of those.
Josh:So last session was, it's happened twice in three sessions, where you guys spend an extended period of time planning for something that I just, I know the second you turn the corner, so to speak, or actually literally turn the corner, it will immediately throw a wrench into all of your plans.
Josh:And I have to come at it as like, do I tell them to stop planning and just look around the corner?
Josh:Or do I let them come to the conclusion of figuring out what they're going to do and then have all of the work torn down from them?
Josh:And I think I've just settled on the latter.
Noah:think it's much funnier.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:But it's fine.
Jorge:I like to think that as we're planning, you just completely change your entire story just to screw us over.
Josh:Yeah, I'm...
Jorge:You're like, that was a good idea.
Josh:What's fun is I don't need to do that.
Jorge:Fuck you.
Mike:Thank you.
Tanner:I don't know.
Josh:You guys do it for me.
Josh:It's very kind of you to do.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:I spent a lot of time with a shield that was resistant to projectiles last campaign and didn't get hit with a projectile until I put it away.
Noah:Never forget the shield of arrow caching.
Josh:That is, I think, my largest failure as a DM, just in general.
Josh:I cannot believe I did that to you.
Josh:Well, I honestly don't think I've made any strides to correct that behavior in that I still refuse to plan encounters around...
Jorge:Didn't you do that with another thing?
Josh:Any knowledge of your player builds.
Josh:Which is good, because I don't remember it most of the time.
Josh:I just come up with small bits that I remember.
Josh:Like, I know Jorge will fuck up anybody who casts spells.
Josh:I can't hit Tanner, because he has a 5 trillion AC.
Josh:Um...
Josh:And the only thing I know of Big Fish, like, that I keep in my head is that he can move 400 feet a turn or something like that.
Josh:He'll, like, rocket boot and then be on the other side of the encounter.
Noah:I have four Rocket Boots prepared today.
Josh:Which... Oh, I believe you.
Noah:I prepared nothing but Rocket Boots.
Tanner:Are they layered?
Noah:Each one breaks apart.
Noah:They're all sponsored too.
Noah:One's All Thane Nike.
Noah:One's All Thane Puma.
Josh:Hmm.
Josh:Well, so I did, because of a slip of the tongue in the Syrin one shot, Tropicana is canon and on Syrin.
Jorge:You know how when rockets are rocketing, they drop different rockets and they have the smaller ones inside of it?
Josh:So I don't see why we couldn't add like Adidas as well.
Josh:We'll just chuck that in there.
Josh:That's fine.
Noah:That's my boots.
Jorge:That's Big Fish's boots.
Jorge:Just dropping fuselages and shit.
Noah:Josh, it's okay because we've started planning for you as a DM like anti-robot everything.
Josh:Oh, yeah.
Josh:Jorge coming to a one-shot with a hard counter and being right is crazy.
Josh:I hate that.
Mike:That was very funny.
Mike:When we were discussing at the beginning of the one shot, like, oh, what's everyone good at?
Mike:And Jorge is like, I fuck up dirt and things that are made out of the Earth constructs.
Mike:We're like, why the fuck would you do that?
Tanner:Thank you.
Mike:And he's like, he always has some fucking robot we have to fight.
Jorge:yeah big fucking robot yeah
Mike:What do you mean?
Mike:And then we're like, all right, but what are the odds?
Mike:And then there were so many.
Noah:The odds were high.
Josh:The one combat encounter you guys did that one shot was with a robot.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:So... It's fine.
Josh:It's whatever.
Jorge:And then I remember it wasn't even that good of a thing.
Jorge:It was just like a D6, but one of them was just like a D6, but only to add constructs.
Jorge:And it was like a level 13 feat.
Jorge:And Josh was like, why the fuck did you take this?
Mike:Okay.
Josh:It's fine.
Josh:It's okay.
Josh:I'll keep it in mind in the future.
Jorge:So which country was that one shot?
Jorge:Like the ministry with the gold people?
Jorge:Was it a country that is very pro-judge?
Josh:That one shot was in Hallia.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:That was in the capital of Calaria.
Jorge:Which one's Clary again?
Jorge:Is that the host?
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:That's one of the big host countries.
Jorge:But the Prime Minister was in gold.
Jorge:Shouldn't that be judgy?
Jorge:Like a judge guy?
Josh:The Prime Minister was gold.
Josh:What's her face?
Josh:The angel that you fought was gold, and that's because it was modeled after Aurelia I, who, if you've seen the picture in the whatever, just was gold-skinned as part of that.
Noah:Aurelia.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:Okay, okay.
Jorge:So was the Prime Minister, like, pearlescent?
Josh:The Prime Minister would have been a big supporter of the host.
Josh:Like, that's... You can be fairly confident that anybody you encountered in that one shot was a follower of the host.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:Except for your characters.
Jorge:Do we have an idea?
Jorge:So do we have an idea of...
Jorge:Who the evil minister... What country he worked for?
Jorge:Or religion?
Josh:He was... Oh, well, so you know the country he worked for, because he was the Minister of Finance for Calaria.
Noah:you
Josh:but you also know as part of the prompt for that one shot that he was an acolyte of Aut.
Mike:Oh.
Jorge:Do we know who that is?
Josh:Who Aut is?
Josh:Yes.
Jorge:That's the narrative?
Josh:Yes, you are.
Josh:So if you recall, the prompt of that one shot was that you were operatives working on behalf of Renge and you were fighting against a plan put in place by an acolyte of Aut.
Jorge:The fuck?
Jorge:Renge is also a ghost?
Josh:Ranka is the long, multi-jointed lady in the narrative.
Jorge:No, narrative.
Jorge:Yeah, okay.
Noah:scary lady with a lot of elbows.
Jorge:So narrative's very active in this world.
Mike:Yeah.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:Cool.
Jorge:That's going to be really awkward when my character is in the narrative.
Mike:I guess I also... Along with Mike.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:Right, of course.
Josh:I forgot.
Josh:Your character is the sixth member of the narrative.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:A lot of Mike who is... Oh, right!
Josh:No, no, no!
Josh:I'm sorry, I completely got those mixed up.
Josh:Mike separately said that he was going to be the sixth member of the narrative to me.
Josh:Okay, so there are seven members of the narrative.
Josh:One of them is Mike, and then one of them is Jorge's character.
Mike:Yeah, Jorge's character.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:Also Mike, but a different Mike.
Josh:Right.
Noah:But it's still just Mike.
Josh:Oh, well, actually, that's how we reconcile it.
Josh:Jorge's character is Mike.
Mike:Wait a second.
Josh:Done.
Tanner:Oh.
Noah:You, Mike, are still you, but you are Jorge's character.
Josh:Right.
Noah:Yep.
Josh:Yeah, Mike, you can play somebody else.
Josh:It's just Jorge's character is you.
Mike:He's already called dibs on playing you.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:But anyway, none of that is important for right now, which is you fighting against Rampart.
Josh:Who, yes, good summary, you guys popped in, he had two friends, you did murder those two friends because they were both spellcasters, and I had temporary amnesia and forgot that one of you can just look at a spell and say no thank you every time they try to cast it.
Josh:Um...
Noah:It worked out really great.
Noah:It was awesome.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:But it's fine, because Victor is literally immune to magic.
Josh:So... Or occasionally.
Josh:There are rules.
Josh:But it's fine.
Josh:You guys aren't figuring it out, but you're trying.
Josh:Um... You did a bunch of damage to him last session, and at no point figured out why you were doing the damage that you were doing to him.
Mike:Yay.
Tanner:brutal.
Josh:But it's fine.
Noah:We have recall knowledge.
Noah:We can do this.
Josh:No, it's okay.
Noah:Maybe.
Josh:You're doing great.
Josh:Um...
Josh:Either way, one second.
Josh:Let me... Okay, that's fine.
Josh:I need to move this for a second because I can't get access to my toolbar that lets me do the fun things.
Josh:Does this work still?
Josh:This does work still.
Josh:Great.
Josh:Um, okay.
Josh:So yeah, so you guys entered into the room, you fought with the people, uh, their corpses are strewn about the field.
Josh:Uh, we had ended last session, um, with, uh, Victor with Rampart, um, saying, you killed my friends, how about I summon Big Dragon out of hole him?
Noah:um you
Josh:Um, and then he summoned Big Dragon out of hole he made.
Josh:Um, true to form, he's, he's, uh, good like that.
Josh:Um, and so we will pick up
Josh:With Lev.
Josh:What was the battle music I was using for this one?
Josh:Was it this one?
Josh:Oh, it was this one.
Mike:Girls just want to have fun.
Tanner:Oh.
Mike:Oh, it was this one.
Jorge:All right, give me a second.
Jorge:All right, so I will do this in case Dragon has cone and can hit all three of us.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:And that is, all right, sorry.
Jorge:That was two actions.
Jorge:And I will use my third.
Jorge:to demoralize Victor Rampart.
Jorge:All right, so that is a 38.
Jorge:OK.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:Sorry, give me a second.
Noah:you.
Josh:No.
Josh:I read on a Reddit thread that average turns should be like 30 seconds, so you should be done by now.
Mike:Oops.
Josh:I had mentioned this to the others, Noah.
Josh:I had looked online just to see how are people getting in so many encounters in a day?
Josh:And the general consensus on multiple different forms was that a battle like this should take maybe 20 minutes.
Josh:I was like, oh, okay, so we're just behind the curve, I guess.
Josh:But I don't see how we could possibly speed this up without me actually restricting you to six seconds per turn.
Josh:So, like, it's crazy.
Noah:This is a complex battle.
Noah:There's so much happening.
Jorge:So I got a nat 20 for a total of 60 to demoralize him.
Josh:Okay, well, that fails.
Josh:No, are you using specifically the demoralize action?
Mike:Oh.
Jorge:I believe so.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:What is this against?
Josh:This is against his will, DC.
Josh:What is your will, DC, sir?
Josh:What is your will, DC?
Josh:Okay, yeah, that's a critical success.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:He's feared, too.
Josh:He's frightened twice.
Josh:I have frightened him twice, you can tell by the skulls.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Anything else?
Josh:No?
Jorge:I won't do anything else now.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:Next up, you watch... If you guys recall what this battlefield looks like, is you have the area that you're currently standing in, the raised platform that you're on with now there's a Giant void in the center of.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:There's the doors that you entered through, which is on the left of the battle map.
Josh:There are on the right the three columns, the vats of liquid.
Josh:Two of them have silhouettes in them.
Josh:and then in the center of the room, about 20 feet up, directly above where the dragon just climbed out of the hole, is this massive spool.
Josh:You watch as the spool turns, and threads...
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:shoot out from the spool and latch onto the two corpses that you guys have left in the arena.
Josh:They don't appear to have done anything yet, but you have seen the threads go and latch onto those two corpses.
Jorge:The ones near Big Fish?
Josh:One of them is near Dawn, and then one of them is over by Dybex.
Jorge:The ones near Dawn.
Josh:I can put something down to mark them.
Jorge:Gotcha, gotcha.
Tanner:They're getting their souls put back in.
Noah:Oh God.
Josh:but it is Henrik's turn.
Noah:I got this guy.
Tanner:Um... Yeah, no, I wanted... Josh, can you actually... Oh, okay, I see you are marking them.
Jorge:You could step back more so he has to come out of that spell.
Tanner:I'm waiting for the other one to get marked.
Josh:Yes.
Tanner:So that I could... Because that's probably going to be too far.
Noah:I'm like right there.
Tanner:I'm just trying to think about what I can do.
Noah:I don't think so
Tanner:I don't know.
Jorge:I don't believe you have.
Josh:I don't remember you doing it so we'll just say you haven't.
Tanner:I don't... Do we remember if I have battle-medicined myself this battle?
Tanner:I don't think so.
Tanner:Alright.
Tanner:So, first thing I'm going to do is stride.
Noah:The first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to... I'm going to... I'm going to... I'm going to... I'm going to... I'm going to... I'm going to... I'm going to...
Jorge:you
Tanner:I guess I'll go over here.
Mike:Thrive.
Tanner:No, I don't know.
Tanner:I should go towards the dragon.
Tanner:Yeah, I'll...
Tanner:All right, I'm going to stride.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:And then I'm going to battle medicine myself.
Tanner:DC 40.
Noah:Yes.
Tanner:That all looks correct.
Tanner:I failed.
Jorge:Oh.
Josh:You failed?
Josh:That's crazy.
Tanner:Yeah, I fail on a one, two, or three.
Josh:Do you want to use the hero point?
Tanner:Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Jorge:Yeah, probably hear a point, huh?
Tanner:No, I can beast it to 40.
Tanner:Can I beast it?
Josh:you can be stood.
Tanner:I'm going to beast it to 40, which is a success.
Mike:Peace.
Josh:Okay?
Jorge:Good job.
Noah:Oh, yeah.
Jorge:That was terrifying.
Tanner:I'm just going to roll it again so that it does the math for me.
Tanner:Delicious.
Tanner:I was slowed so that's it.
Josh:Alrighty.
Josh:You aren't slowed anymore, but it is now Divex's turn.
Josh:Divex, you are at the precipice of a weird void hole, and a big ol' green ghost fire dragon just walked out of it.
Noah:you you you you you you
Mike:So I know there are rules around using detect magic in combat and that it costs two actions, but I have the diagnostic heart and I also have the 24-7 detect magic feat.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Uh-huh.
Josh:Yes.
Josh:Sure.
Mike:This dragon looks magical.
Mike:Can I get an idea of the level of the dragon?
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:Yes, you can.
Mike:Okay, I wasn't thinking for an incapacitation effect.
Josh:I will tell you... I think I'm going to make you do a one-action recall knowledge to figure out the actual level of it.
Tanner:Thank you.
Noah:I don't know.
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:But I can tell you a range, if you like.
Josh:Like, if you think it's stronger than you are, weaker than you are, the same level as you.
Noah:I don't know.
Mike:I was thinking for a counteract check.
Josh:Well, Detect Magic Up, this thing is very clearly magical.
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:You would be surprised if it couldn't cast 10th rank spells.
Josh:It gives off an aura of magic.
Josh:I don't know if you would get any more information without spending an action.
Mike:No, no, that makes sense.
Mike:And I guess I probably burned whatever free stuff to observe the portal, what level.
Mike:I have an 8th rank Dispel Magic.
Mike:I am looking to dump on something and immediately remove it from the battlefield.
Josh:I'm going to have you make an arcana check here.
Mike:So is that information I would get?
Mike:Is the whole of...
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:I'm not going to charge you an action for it, but I do want you to make the roll.
Mike:Skills... Arcana, and then I have... Oh, it adds my Diagnostic Heart and my Potency already.
Mike:Very nice.
Mike:45.
Josh:Okay, with a 45.
Josh:So, Divex would recall when you guys had the cursor from the artifact and you used it, you were physically swapping worlds to one where the thing that was part of it was true.
Noah:We have to get out of this world.
Josh:This is not a summoned creature.
Mike:I see that makes sense.
Josh:This creature has always existed here, and you have just been moved into a version of the world where this creature exists.
Josh:Yeah, so dispelling it won't do anything because it's not a magically manifested creature, you know?
Josh:It'd be the same as if you cast Dispel Magic on yourself.
Noah:What was the email?
Mike:So let's see.
Mike:This thing is...
Jorge:What's the pink stuff floating around me, by the way?
Jorge:Is that fascinated?
Josh:What stuff?
Jorge:The pink stuff floating around Lev, is that fascinated?
Josh:I believe that's your Harmful Malice.
Josh:I don't know why Foundry decided that that was what it was going to use to indicate it.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:And then the blue thing is your Marshal's Aura, which you were receiving because you were near Henrik.
Jorge:And Hendrik is receiving my regalia.
Josh:Yes.
Josh:No.
Jorge:True Russians protecting each other.
Josh:I mean, he is, but I don't think your character has an aura, so I don't actually think he has anything in Foundry for that.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:Russians.
Jorge:No.
Mike:How about this?
Tanner:I'm not seeing it, but I believe that it's there in my heart.
Jorge:No.
Mike:Henrik, are you... Henrik, are you hasted?
Jorge:Well, yes, in your special heart.
Tanner:No.
Mike:Let's change that.
Mike:So I'm going to walk... How high up is this dragon?
Jorge:Opportunity attacks.
Jorge:Careful.
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:15.
Josh:He just clawed his way out of the hole, so he's on your level.
Mike:Oh, that's...
Mike:Don't tell me haste is 30 feet, is it?
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:It is.
Mike:Am I now 45?
Mike:So I would have had to walk through to get actually any closer.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:Yeah, I don't think it's worth the damage.
Josh:Correct.
Noah:DiveX, do you have anything that does vitality damage?
Mike:I don't know.
Mike:There's not enough people up to use other crazy things.
Mike:How about...
Mike:I don't think so.
Noah:I don't think so.
Jorge:Are you done?
Noah:I don't think so.
Noah:I'm looking right now.
Noah:I myself am holy, so that might work.
Jorge:Well, you're holy.
Jorge:I am also holy.
Noah:Because my theory is that whatever he makes himself immune to... Are you the good kind of holy or the bad kind of holy?
Jorge:I'm the good kind.
Noah:I don't believe you.
Jorge:Where did you expect it?
Noah:I don't believe you at all.
Noah:I don't know why I asked that question.
Noah:My theory is that whatever he's immune to, the opposite is what he's not immune to.
Jorge:That's what, yeah.
Noah:Immune to magic, not immune to physical.
Noah:Immune to fire, not immune to ice, cold.
Mike:So do we think he's not immune to Magical right now, or is he... Give me one second.
Noah:I think he's immune to void damage.
Noah:Is that what withering, your big fat 500-foot withering does?
Mike:Yeah, it does do Void.
Noah:My theory is that he's not immune to the opposite sort of damage, which in this case would be vitality, right?
Jorge:Yeah, I assume so.
Noah:Yeah.
Mike:So it's... So do we think fire or ice?
Jorge:Or the good spirit, whatever it is in this setting.
Noah:Mm-hmm.
Noah:you
Mike:Actually, he's... We're figuring it out.
Mike:Well, I still have three actions.
Josh:I don't know what this is
Jorge:You could try to recall knowledge to see what the fuck's happening with him if you want some stuff to do.
Mike:So I'm going to use one...
Mike:to cast uh spell preparation this does physical and uh magical frigid flurry so i move up i believe i move up to 120. yeah
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:It does 96 cold and 96 slashing.
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:I don't know if it's up to 120.
Noah:I don't know.
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:I think it might just be 120.
Mike:Why don't I... Is the description different in... Well, either way, do I run... Oh, the area in Path Builder says line up to 120.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:I'll just let you do up to 120.
Noah:I'll explain it to you in a moment.
Josh:I don't know what it is off the top of my head.
Mike:I mean, it's definitely maxed out at 120.
Mike:I just... Okay.
Josh:Yes.
Mike:So... DC 41 basic reflex.
Noah:All right, so .
Josh:And is that... Oh, that gets multiple.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:Oh, no, no, no.
Mike:I move... It's just Rampart.
Josh:Oh.
Mike:Actually... Oh, no, no.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:You're correct.
Mike:I should move... I should move first.
Mike:And then I can get both of them.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:So if I spend...
Mike:Yeah, if I spend two actions to move, I guess I can't make the recall knowledge, but I can do this and then move, I don't know, 95 feet over here and get both.
Josh:Okay, so they both need to make reflex apes.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:Can I quickly do that?
Josh:I can't.
Josh:Oh, that was just the Wyrmwraith.
Josh:Victor as well.
Mike:41.
Mike:33 and 32.
Josh:What's your DC?
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:41.
Josh:Okay, so the Wyrmwraith passes.
Josh:Victor fails.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:I'll take it.
Josh:None of that damage goes to Victor.
Josh:Unfortunately, he is immune to both of those damage types.
Josh:But that does do damage to the Wyrmbraith.
Josh:So I will...
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:Is there like a, like in Pokemon, there's like a wheel of like opposite stuff in Pathfinder?
Jorge:Is there one for Pathfinder?
Jorge:Like a circle, you know?
Jorge:Maybe he can only be like four at a time or something like that.
Jorge:Or maybe he does like physical and magic and then types.
Jorge:I don't know.
Jorge:Maybe he has a switch between.
Noah:There's like a color wheel he's turning somewhere.
Noah:What was that?
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:Can I... No, I guess reusing a reaction for a recall knowledge is probably a feat somewhere.
Josh:Yes.
Josh:No, you cannot recall knowledge as a reaction.
Mike:Well... Can I use my recognize spell reaction?
Josh:No.
Mike:Okay.
Josh:He's not casting a spell.
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:That's kind of like a big part of him, actually.
Tanner:There has to be a spell to recognize.
Josh:Yeah, unfortunately not.
Josh:Is it the Elder Wyrmred's turn?
Mike:Actually, wait.
Mike:Did I make a recall knowledge check earlier?
Josh:No.
Mike:I rolled Arcana.
Josh:No.
Mike:Right, right.
Mike:OK.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:I do have a reaction that allows me to reroll and recall knowledge, but OK.
Josh:Okay, no.
Josh:It's the Wyrmred's turn.
Josh:Um...
Noah:It doesn't have to be.
Josh:It does, though.
Jorge:What if he accidentally jumped into a world where this thing is here, but he hates him?
Josh:Yeah.
Noah:Yeah.
Josh:No.
Josh:I need... I don't know if I can hit all of you on this.
Noah:Nah.
Jorge:Where's the cone?
Jorge:Where's the dragon cone?
Josh:Yeah, I know.
Josh:I'm just looking to see if I can... Oh, shit.
Josh:That sucks.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:Are you upset that it's hitting me?
Josh:Yes, I'm upset that it's hitting you.
Noah:Oh.
Josh:What is it?
Josh:90 feet?
Tanner:What do we think the odds are that the one person that can't reach is me?
Josh:It's not hitting Dimex.
Tanner:Oh, no.
Josh:It's hitting Henrik, Lev, and Dawn.
Jorge:And the Fate Weaver.
Josh:The Fateweaver is dead.
Jorge:Yeah, but the little strands are going to get hit.
Noah:Burns for two.
Josh:No, the Fateweaver is dead.
Jorge:So it's not hitting Reinhardt, or Rampant, so this type will hurt him.
Noah:Oh, God.
Josh:It's not hitting Reinhardt or Rampant.
Jorge:This type will hurt him, guys.
Jorge:This type will hurt him.
Josh:That is true.
Jorge:Whatever.
Josh:I need Henry... Oh, Victor!
Jorge:The Rampart.
Jorge:Stupid name.
Josh:He has an actual name that you guys do know, both in-game and out.
Jorge:No.
Jorge:No.
Jorge:All right.
Josh:You don't... Okay.
Jorge:What is this?
Josh:I need you to make a reflex save for me, please.
Tanner:What does the regalia do?
Tanner:Does that have anything to do with this?
Noah:I'm going to try an unexpected shift.
Jorge:What type of damage is this?
Josh:This is spirit damage.
Jorge:So this isn't mental or anything?
Josh:No, that's a different damage type.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:This is my unexpected shift.
Tanner:Ooh, big number.
Tanner:47, evasion.
Noah:This is not an actual thing.
Noah:No, it doesn't work.
Noah:Oh, God.
Jorge:Is this a magic effect?
Josh:Um, it is a divine sanctified effect.
Noah:This thing is divine?
Tanner:Thank you.
Jorge:It's a what?
Josh:Divine sanctified effect.
Jorge:Cool.
Noah:What is this thing?
Noah:Does that make it magic?
Josh:What?
Noah:Will that make it magic?
Josh:It's divine, it's magic.
Noah:38.
Jorge:38.
Noah:This is anti-magic.
Noah:Nope, never mind.
Noah:Doesn't matter.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:39.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:And what did you get, Henrik?
Tanner:47 with evasion.
Josh:Nice.
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:Henrik?
Josh:I don't know how you dodge it, given that you're in the middle of the breath attack, but you dodge it.
Tanner:I just roll with it.
Josh:Oh, okay, sure.
Josh:This, like, yellow...
Josh:This bright yellow rolling wave of fire extends out of the dragon and then just flushes along the floor.
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:And it does unfortunately hit both Lev and Dawn.
Josh:Neither of you made your save.
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:So you are going to take the full damage here.
Noah:Woof.
Tanner:Oh my god.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:That's great.
Josh:48 points of damage.
Josh:I expected way higher from 18d6.
Josh:But that's fine.
Mike:Yeah, 18D6 is...
Jorge:That's a spirit, but you said fire.
Jorge:Is that right?
Josh:What?
Jorge:That's a spirit, but you said fire.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:It's spirit damage.
Jorge:Well, that's stupid, because I have resistances for fire, okay?
Josh:It looks like fire, because I don't know how else to describe spirit damage.
Josh:It's like, um... Okay.
Josh:What's the 5e cantrip that is fire, but it does radiant damage?
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:Sacred flame.
Josh:Yeah, Sacred Flame.
Josh:It's Sacred Flame, but out the mouth.
Jorge:Cool.
Mike:I think 48 is pretty low outcome-wise.
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:I think the average is like into the 60s.
Josh:Fine.
Josh:I'm not mad about it.
Josh:It still has one more...
Josh:turn.
Josh:Divex isn't here, so it can't stab you.
Josh:It can cast a spell, though.
Tanner:He's a spellcaster?
Josh:What's a 20-foot burst?
Josh:Can I... Oops.
Noah:This is anti-magic.
Josh:Oh, yeah, no, he's a spellcaster.
Josh:Can I get Divex 2?
Josh:No.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Josh:It's the three of you again.
Josh:You guys are all just grouped up really well.
Josh:I am going to need a Fortitude save as the Elder Wyrmwraith invokes Divine Wrath upon your location.
Josh:This is definitely magic.
Josh:This has the Divine Manipulate Sanctified Holy traits.
Noah:Wow.
Tanner:I got a 40, which probably is a failure, but... It's just a little spell.
Jorge:That was the wrong... That's not my fort.
Noah:We got a million, a jillion.
Jorge:I don't know why I did that.
Jorge:My fort's 39.
Jorge:Oh, never mind.
Jorge:It's 29 in my DCs.
Jorge:Okay, okay.
Jorge:So yeah, that is my... Do I reroll?
Jorge:No, I think it's...
Noah:Josh.
Noah:So I do have.
Noah:I do have juggernaut, but it is not popping up on here.
Tanner:It's just a little spell.
Josh:Okay, I'll believe you that you have Juggernaut.
Jorge:I'll just take it.
Mike:I think this is capable of... I think this thing is capable of casting 10th level.
Josh:Um... Okay.
Jorge:I'll reroll it.
Noah:Almost got him.
Jorge:I'll reroll it.
Jorge:I'll reroll it.
Mike:I think it's worth it to gamble.
Josh:You get an additional four.
Mike:I think it's worth it to gamble for the success.
Jorge:Oh, yeah, plus four.
Tanner:I guess with juggernaut too.
Tanner:Oh, all right.
Tanner:Well, there you go.
Josh:Hot damn.
Mike:Oh, alright.
Jorge:Oh.
Mike:You kill it instantly.
Josh:Nice.
Jorge:And because I got a natural 20, I get two hero points.
Josh:That's not how that works.
Josh:I'm not rewarding you for that as well.
Josh:The reward is that you're not going to take any damage.
Josh:The DC here was 41.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:So I'm sorry.
Tanner:Oh my God.
Jorge:I shouldn't have re-rolled, damn it.
Josh:So Henrik, unfortunately, I believe you failed.
Josh:Dawn, oh, you have Juggernaut.
Josh:So you and Lev take no damage here.
Josh:But we will do the full damage against Dawn.
Josh:No, sorry, against Henrik.
Josh:You're going to take an additional 33 points of, that's the wrong trait, that should be holy, but 33 points of spirit damage, and you are sickened.
Josh:Which, in case you are unfamiliar with the sickened condition, you get a minus one to all checks and DCs, and you can't willingly ingest anything.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:You can take a single action to attempt to recover, which lets you make a fort save.
Josh:On a success, you reduce your second condition by one.
Josh:It's Don's turn.
Noah:Hang on.
Noah:I have a theory on how... I think I understand how this works.
Noah:Uh... I have to... Josh, so things that are holy or unholy do spirit damage, right?
Josh:Correct.
Noah:Yeah.
Noah:Is that... So if I have the sanctified trait, which means all my attacks are holy, when I hit something that's technically spirit damage, even though it's not like additional damage?
Josh:So the way that vulnerabilities work are there is spirit damage, but when you do spirit damage, if you have this sanctified trait, it deals holy or unholy damage.
Noah:Okay, so if I hit him with a Technomantic Punch, it just doesn't... But does it still count as spirit damage, even if it's... Just because I... Ugh, that's a bummer.
Josh:it would have to be spirit damage to do holy or unholy.
Josh:The sanctified trait just adjusts whether or not your spirit damage counts as holy or unholy.
Josh:It doesn't make things into a different damage type.
Noah:Does anyone do spirit damage?
Noah:Jeez.
Jorge:I can do damage to him if you guys can deal with the caster, but he's not immune to my damage.
Noah:Well, because I think the only thing... I think he's immune to everything but spirit damage.
Noah:Did you hit him?
Noah:I mean, if we don't do enough spirit damage, we're not going to get through to him.
Jorge:I should be able to hit him with 10 points of damage, at least, I assume, if my vulnerability stuff works.
Jorge:Because I can do personal antithesis, and it just does damage to him.
Mike:I can do damage.
Noah:I don't have spirit.
Noah:Okay.
Mike:I just didn't want to burn another 9th level spell, but I can do damage to him.
Noah:Josh, earlier in this fight, I asked if I could seal the terminal out of his head.
Noah:You said that was a natural 20.
Josh:Yeah.
Noah:I would have to roll on that 20.
Noah:Does that still hold up after watching how it works?
Josh:Yeah.
Noah:Okay.
Noah:I'm going to go first.
Jorge:Are you going to try to deal with the Fate Weaver, or are we just going to leave him?
Noah:Oh, no, I'll deal with it.
Jorge:Also, you could try a recall knowledge check or something to see if in-game your character can figure out what's happening.
Josh:You guys have tools at your disposal.
Noah:Yeah.
Noah:Yeah, okay.
Noah:I think I will do that first.
Noah:I gotta heal myself, though, because this is not doing great.
Noah:First, I will use...
Jorge:Gotcha.
Jorge:Did you mean to leave that sphere there?
Josh:What sphere?
Josh:Oh, no.
Jorge:OK.
Josh:Thank you.
Josh:No, it's not an ongoing effect.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:Thank God.
Noah:Just to deal with all these things, I'll use Desperate Prayer to give myself one.
Noah:This is a free action, focus point.
Noah:Free action.
Noah:Clockwork Celerity to quicken myself.
Noah:Then I will use for one action, depth, two action, cut this thing's thread.
Josh:Make a perception check.
Noah:My specialty.
Noah:I'm...
Noah:I am too small.
Noah:Hang on.
Noah:I am not actually moving, but it won't let me click on myself.
Noah:33.
Josh:Okay, I have to roll something.
Josh:One second.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:So you... How are you cutting the cord, actually?
Josh:That should have been my first question.
Noah:Is it floating in the air yet?
Josh:So the cord has gone from the spool at the top into the corpse.
Noah:I was going to take my rune cutter dagger and just flash it.
Josh:Okay, cool.
Josh:So you slash it.
Josh:You watch as that board does snap and retract back into the spool.
Josh:With a 33, you do also note, as you turn around while holding the dagger, there are currently two threads here present in this room.
Josh:There's one going to the other corpse, and there's one that is actively connected to Victor.
Noah:Oh!
Noah:Uh... Okay.
Tanner:Okay.
Noah:I'm gonna go down.
Jorge:Is that a Rakabuta?
Noah:Yeah, I'm gonna... I have three actions left.
Josh:Thank you.
Jorge:Well, it's likely that he's going to step out of this red thing, so you don't have to necessarily go to him and then we can do it.
Noah:Not a lot of hit points, so I'm gonna die this turn.
Noah:You guys all have, uh... I will yell that... Okay, I'll yell that out.
Jorge:You can heal yourself.
Jorge:I have one.
Noah:He has a cord.
Noah:Not yelled at, but I'll say it in Schism.
Noah:Second action.
Noah:I'll use my Wand of Overflowing Life to cast Heal at 5th level on myself.
Noah:Two actions.
Noah:Why will it not let me cast the spell, please?
Jorge:You got to click on the spell that might be.
Noah:Oh.
Noah:Sure, why not?
Noah:Well, that was cool.
Noah:I need to... Hello.
Mike:Thank you.
Josh:Lev, what did we say about Vitality and you?
Noah:I did not mean to do it at that... in that big... Okay, well, I'm trying to figure out how to cast the spell.
Noah:But I want to cast it at 5th level.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:yeah I don't know why yeah I thought if I did the 30th emanation it would just let me get the healing but it was not
Josh:You're just trying to cast Heal at 5th level?
Tanner:Thank you.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:You can't just send it.
Josh:Somebody actually has to cast it for the buttons to appear, Jorge, unfortunately.
Jorge:Was that the one that made that weird effect?
Josh:So, let me...
Josh:I casted it through Lev.
Josh:That's a 5th level heal.
Josh:And I gave you your spell slot back, of course.
Noah:Why is the... Okay.
Jorge:Thank you.
Josh:So you select the number of actions you want to do.
Josh:in the chat.
Josh:And then it should then let you heal.
Noah:It is not, but... It's not letting me click the buttons.
Josh:It's not letting you click the buttons?
Josh:Or... I'm sorry.
Jorge:Oh, maybe it's because it's for me.
Jorge:Do you want me to just click it, Noah?
Noah:Yeah, if you don't mind, the
Noah:We can't even heal.
Jorge:I last permissions to click this, actually.
Josh:Really?
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:64.
Josh:I'll do it then, I guess.
Josh:And you get to see the cool effect around Lev.
Josh:You get 64 hit points.
Josh:Oh, you can apply that.
Josh:Sure.
Noah:I'm going to apply that healing.
Noah:That's three actions.
Noah:Fourth action.
Noah:I'm going to cast...
Noah:Mirror image on myself.
Noah:The greatest spell of all time.
Josh:Why are there so many things happening?
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Dawn is mirrored.
Noah:But now there's also this.
Josh:Gosh, the... It is Viktor's turn.
Noah:That's my turn.
Jorge:Did you recall knowledge?
Jorge:I don't know.
Noah:Shit.
Noah:I didn't recall knowledge.
Noah:Let's try cutting the cord and see if that works.
Josh:He will... I'm going to roll a d3 here.
Noah:Wow.
Tanner:Thank you.
Noah:I'm feeling very creative here.
Josh:One is die back.
Jorge:Lev did just mock him, if that affects anything.
Josh:Who is Lev and who is Henrik?
Josh:Did Lev just mock him any more than... I'll roll a d4.
Josh:If it's a 2 or a 3, it's Lev.
Jorge:He's demoralized.
Jorge:So he's scared of Lev.
Josh:Right, you did demoralize him.
Josh:Okay, he'll go punch Lev.
Josh:That's fine.
Josh:It's one action to walk up to Lev.
Jorge:Back of opportunity.
Noah:Peace.
Josh:Sure.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:37, does that hit?
Josh:A 37 does not hit, and he will use... No.
Jorge:Do I critically miss?
Jorge:Then I still hit with my weapon implement.
Jorge:Remember that thing?
Josh:Cool.
Josh:Before you do any damage, he's going to use his inexorable march as a reaction to your attack of opportunity to hit him.
Josh:So I'm going to roll a fort save for him.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:And he fails because he's frightened.
Josh:Shit.
Josh:Okay, he'll take the damage.
Mike:Eh.
Josh:You have a personal antithesis, right?
Josh:So that's 10 points of damage plus whatever.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:One.
Josh:What's the damage type of your weapon?
Jorge:It does personal antithesis damage.
Josh:It also does other damage.
Noah:All right.
Jorge:Let me see.
Jorge:I believe it's just lashing, and then I have my void.
Josh:You're... It's slashing and fire.
Noah:Thank you.
Noah:Thank you.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Okay, so yeah now so he'll take the ten points of damage from the personal antithesis and He will say it is funny.
Josh:You keep injuring me.
Josh:I keep getting better This is not going to work out for you, and then he's going to punch you in the face That is a crit I believe
Jorge:Okay.
Noah:Oh, fuck it.
Noah:I do have the spirit damage.
Jorge:Yeah, why doesn't that apply fear?
Josh:What do you mean?
Jorge:Why doesn't his strike apply fear?
Jorge:Doesn't it get minus two?
Josh:It does.
Jorge:Ah, okay.
Josh:It did.
Josh:That is with minus two.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:Well, I will take the damage.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:That is 105 points of bludgeoning damage.
Tanner:Whoa.
Jorge:Damn.
Tanner:Heavy.
Josh:And then, because it is a critical hit with an adamantine weapon, your armor breaks.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:So you have minus one to AC.
Jorge:Cool.
Mike:Hold on.
Mike:Would it be useful to delay the consequences?
Jorge:That'd be great.
Jorge:That'd be great.
Mike:There will be no consequences until next turn.
Josh:Okay, so one action into Victor's next turn, you will take 105 points of bludgeoning damage and your armor will break.
Jorge:Cool.
Noah:Oh, man, we have to tell Victor.
Jorge:That'd be useful.
Jorge:Two actions into his next turn.
Josh:Right, two actions, because he did walk to you.
Josh:And then I think...
Josh:Yeah, I think he just has to punch you again.
Josh:Like, that's what he would do.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Miss.
Tanner:Oh.
Mike:Missed by one.
Tanner:Wow.
Mike:Missed by one.
Noah:I like the...
Tanner:He's too scared to hit you.
Josh:But again, minus two because of the frightened condition.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:What a moron.
Tanner:He's too scared to hit you.
Mike:What a fucking idiot, dude.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:Okay, that's the end of his turn.
Josh:His frightened condition is reduced by one, and it is now Lev, your response.
Jorge:Cool.
Jorge:I will use fear of God to demoralize him again.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Is that just you?
Josh:Oh, right.
Josh:You have this stupid, stupid feat.
Josh:Stupid, dumb.
Jorge:56.
Josh:Yeah, a 56 succeeds.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:Crit succeeds, or... Will.
Josh:I think that would be a crit.
Josh:It's against his will or his fort?
Josh:I don't know what I'm asking.
Josh:That's a crit against either.
Jorge:He's feared three!
Josh:Yes, because you get to specifically single out one person to repeatedly demoralize and stack the frightened effect on.
Mike:Yes.
Tanner:It stacks.
Josh:Yes.
Jorge:Yes.
Jorge:Yes, and I'm preaching crazy shit about Nox.
Jorge:Like, even a little bit that Henrik can hear is like, this is a little fucked up.
Jorge:I'm like, and then Nox will crawl up your asshole.
Jorge:And you're like, okay, okay.
Jorge:And then I will... Yeah, yeah.
Tanner:I'm trying really hard to focus on the dragon.
Jorge:I will tempt another strike.
Jorge:Well, do I fear one more time?
Josh:Sorry, what's the name of this feed again?
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:Fear of God.
Josh:I don't know if you can do it again again.
Jorge:You can ignore the creature's temporary immunity to your demoralized checks.
Josh:Uh... You can use fear of... One second.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:Yeah, no, I can just ignore that.
Jorge:I think I can do it again.
Josh:During that time, you ignore the creature's temporary immunity to demoralize, and whenever you successfully demoralize, you can increase... Okay, yeah, no.
Josh:You can straight up do it again, if you want to.
Josh:That's fine.
Jorge:Yeah, I'll do it again.
Josh:Yeah, go for it.
Tanner:That's the crazy thing to do.
Josh:That's wild.
Tanner:Yeah.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:He's fear five.
Noah:um you
Josh:He is not.
Jorge:But four, actually.
Josh:There is a global cap on Feared 4.
Jorge:Fear four.
Josh:You can't be any more scared than that.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:But he is Feared 4.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:Maybe he's going to start attacking someone else because he's scared of me.
Mike:for his life.
Jorge:I'm looking into his eyes.
Jorge:Is he used to being scared?
Josh:No!
Jorge:Okay, so maybe he'll go for Henrik now.
Jorge:Sorry, Henrik.
Jorge:And then I'm going to strike.
Josh:I really like how the justification for him attacking you before was because you frightened him, and now the justification for him attacking anyone else is because you frightened him.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:Well, before he was like, wow, that's kind of weird.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:I'm a little scared.
Jorge:Now he's like, holy shit, Nox is terrifying.
Jorge:So this is a 19.
Jorge:So I have Keen Blade.
Jorge:So this counts as a natural 20 for a total of 50.
Josh:What?
Jorge:I have the rune Keen.
Jorge:So 19s count as 20s.
Josh:Oh, okay.
Josh:That didn't add anything, you just have the keen rune.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Okay, which means you crit on a 19?
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:Nice.
Josh:Yeah, absolutely.
Jorge:That hits.
Josh:Okay, so... Yes, that does crit.
Noah:Okay.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:It normally wouldn't crit, or actually, even with a natural 20 it would crit, so it's fine.
Noah:Okay.
Jorge:And then this will also be adding my plus 10.
Josh:Um...
Jorge:That'd be doubled as well.
Josh:Right.
Noah:Okay.
Jorge:He's also off guard now because of swords, and he will be taking persistent fire damage.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:True, he is immune to most of these damage types.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:But he will take the 20 damage that you dealt to him from your personal intelligence.
Noah:I did realize I can do spirit damage, guys.
Jorge:Damn it.
Josh:Yeah, unfortunately right now he's immune to fire, void, and slashing.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:Oh, I got to add eight.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:Sorry.
Jorge:Okay.
Noah:I'm sorry.
Jorge:And I have one more attack, so I'll attack him again.
Jorge:Or should I step away, guys?
Jorge:What should I do?
Noah:Do you have a rune cutter?
Jorge:Oh, rune cutter.
Noah:Oh, great.
Jorge:Yeah, fuck yeah, I do that.
Josh:Okay, you make an attack roll.
Josh:So that is going to be, you just have a plus 31 to whatever you roll.
Jorge:No!
Jorge:I can't... I don't have a hero point, so I just have to take this, right?
Jorge:I can't reroll it?
Josh:Correct.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:No, you can't immediately spend it.
Josh:We're not playing UNO rules.
Mike:Thank you.
Tanner:what about your point you've had horrible luck with this coin it's supposed to be 50 50.
Jorge:I will use, wait, wait, I have one more flip of my coin.
Jorge:I'll use that.
Jorge:Hopefully it doesn't land on the fucking heads.
Jorge:Fuck, it's gone.
Noah:No!
Jorge:My coin's gone.
Josh:Yeah.
Noah:I do remember that.
Jorge:Oh, I got one success.
Noah:Delicious.
Jorge:Yeah, next time I do a coin, I'm going to call ones.
Jorge:It just felt disingenuous to change midway through.
Josh:That's the end of your turn, yeah?
Jorge:Yes, and I will look at him and I can go, please help me.
Josh:Okay, between...
Noah:Bloody.
Josh:Between your two turns, it is the school's turn.
Josh:You watch as one thread shoots out of the school right back into the Oreskian Fateweaver that you just cut, and you watch a second thread jump from the school into the Blushsinker on the bottom of the map.
Noah:And it's just floating.
Tanner:So the Fate Weaver has one, the Blush Singer has two.
Josh:Correct.
Noah:How sturdy looking is that structure with the threads and everything just floating up there?
Josh:It does not appear to be physically attached to anything.
Josh:It is floating in the air like its own spool.
Josh:The only thing that's connecting it to the outside world are the threads coming off of it.
Tanner:Can you point out where it's located?
Noah:... ... ... ... ... ...
Josh:Directly above the wormwraith, about 20 feet in the air.
Tanner:Okay, I'm gonna try something.
Jorge:Uh-oh.
Tanner:Um... So... A 30-foot cone has height.
Tanner:Yes?
Josh:Yes, it does.
Tanner:So could I hit the dragon and the fool?
Josh:Yeah.
Tanner:Um... Alright, so I kind of, like, uh...
Noah:Yeah.
Tanner:hold my arms out to my side um and kind of just like scream out uh and the my dusk walker markings all kind of uh light up and glow um and uh shooting out of me in a 30 foot cone are a bunch of uh like thorny rose vines um as i use yamaraj's grandeur
Tanner:And it's a basic reflex save against my class DC, which is a 39.
Noah:Thank you.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:Your... Yeah, absolutely.
Tanner:Yeah.
Josh:So the spool automatically fails because it is a stationary object.
Josh:The wormwraith got a 52.
Jorge:Oh.
Tanner:Okay, so that's a crit success, which means nothing happens to it.
Tanner:But I am going to do 14d6 slashing damage to the spool.
Jorge:Oh.
Noah:Okay.
Jorge:All right.
Tanner:That's 44.
Jorge:Oh.
Tanner:I don't know if objects are capable of this, but it also does 46 persistent slashing.
Josh:Nice.
Josh:It does also have the 4d6 persistent slashing damage.
Josh:You are shooting sharp razors at a spool of thread, which is very rude of you.
Jorge:Nope.
Josh:Okay, 44 points of damage is a threshold.
Josh:You watch as a thread on both the Fateweaver and the Blushsinger snap.
Josh:So now there's only one thread that you can see coming off of the spool, and that's into the Blushsinger.
Jorge:Nope.
Jorge:Good shit.
Tanner:And does it visually look like it's been rattled?
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:Yes, you are cutting into it.
Tanner:Okay.
Tanner:I think I can only do that once.
Tanner:But... At least we know that that's a thing that we can do.
Tanner:That's... Did I end up getting hasted, Divex?
Mike:No.
Tanner:That's okay.
Jorge:You don't need to heal me if you can cut his cord.
Tanner:I can't...
Tanner:I don't think I can cut his cord because I've only got one action left.
Jorge:Fuck.
Jorge:Fuck.
Jorge:Okay.
Tanner:But I can heal you.
Jorge:Hopefully Divex or Dawn can do it.
Jorge:Okay, cool.
Noah:I got a plan.
Tanner:I'll use Doctor's Visitation to stride and treat wounds with one action.
Jorge:Hell yeah.
Tanner:I am going to use my movement to loop around so that I'm not getting within Rampart's range.
Jorge:That's fair.
Tanner:So I'm just going to move it here.
Tanner:Anyway, I don't think I came within this range at all.
Tanner:Okay.
Tanner:Let's treat wounds.
Tanner:79 points of healing.
Tanner:That's three actions.
Josh:Nice.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Thanks.
Jorge:Legendary actions.
Noah:Isn't it great?
Tanner:I remain sick.
Mike:I was thinking of casting a level 7 Disintegrate and trying to stack and take advantage of this guy being in particularly bad saving condition.
Mike:Oh, I have something better than Disintegrate.
Jorge:Oh, I'm going to keep him feared as long as I'm alive.
Jorge:He'll be feared.
Mike:So, an additional minus two status penalty wouldn't reduce his saves any further?
Josh:No.
Mike:Like, he currently has lots of status.
Josh:Yeah, so you'd have to beat minus four, because it's already a status penalty, so they don't stack.
Mike:Fair enough.
Mike:Fair enough.
Tanner:you
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:I...
Josh:Oh, and he's also flat-footed, which means he also has a circumstance penalty right now.
Josh:So yeah, I don't know if you have any other penalties you could stack on top.
Noah:I think if you can take out the rules, I don't know what that would help.
Jorge:Yeah, he's off guard and feared for.
Jorge:Or the dragon.
Noah:It might help something.
Mike:Maybe on subsequent turds, but I'm going to do damage to him right now.
Noah:You got spirit damage?
Josh:No, you are.
Jorge:You know you can?
Mike:I have damage.
Josh:No, you don't.
Jorge:OK.
Noah:What does that mean?
Mike:Nullify?
Mike:A 10th level nullify by the form wrath?
Josh:I'm so sorry.
Mike:That's fair enough.
Josh:Yeah, so Divex will go to cast this spell, and the Wyrmwraith will shoot a laser beam of yellow light in the air and catch the spell in midair as it's traveling, and it just fades.
Josh:What rank spell is this?
Noah:75 of 10 Mitch!
Mike:Nine.
Josh:Okay, so he is going to take 9d8 hit points of damage for nullifying the spell, but...
Mike:So my spell did do damage.
Josh:Yes, just, I don't know who you were planning on doing it to, but it's not happening anymore.
Mike:No, but the type is still damage.
Josh:Oh my god, right!
Josh:Oh!
Noah:What?
Josh:Implosion is untyped damage.
Josh:Right.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:That's crazy.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:That's insane.
Josh:Roll a 98, please.
Mike:So that was about 98.
Josh:Okay, so he will still take 46 damage.
Noah:If you can.
Mike:You guys want me to try to cut this guy's cord?
Noah:Yeah, if not, I got it next turn.
Jorge:If not, Dawn will try to.
Jorge:Oh, fuck.
Mike:I'm not really handy with the steel.
Noah:I got an external.
Mike:I'm not a regulator.
Mike:But because of... That's fine.
Jorge:I forgot my regalia damage.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:So that was one action because of Flourish stuff.
Mike:How many uses of... I have one use of Quicken casting left.
Mike:It does feel...
Mike:pertinent to use it, and I don't think Rampart is going to be as easy to hit as he is right now.
Mike:So, let's do Girstrike for one action, and then... What did we rule?
Noah:you you
Mike:Did we rule Quicken Casting still leaves it at two actions, but it has to...
Josh:So we do quickened casting first, and then we apply whatever the rule was.
Josh:So if it's normally a three-action spell, it turns into a two-action spell with quickened casting, and then a one-action spell with flourish with the rule.
Josh:If it's a two-action spell, quickened casting brings it down to one-action spell with flourish, and then with the rule it just steps down one, so it's just one action without flourish.
Noah:I don't have time to.
Mike:Okay, so if I use Quicken Casting with a two-action spell, it just becomes a one action.
Mike:It doesn't hit the Flourish rules.
Josh:No.
Mike:So we'll do that with... Trying to get the correct level here.
Mike:This is...
Jorge:I feel like Divex used to be, I don't know, a buff caster or something like that.
Jorge:But he's turned very much into a blaster, and I love it.
Josh:Disintegrate is the other spell with no damage type.
Noah:you
Mike:So this is also going to be free action Shadow Signet.
Mike:Victor didn't appear to be particularly reflexive last time he had to roll one.
Mike:So he's going to make a reflex save.
Josh:No, you're going to... Yeah.
Mike:Or I'm going to roll, yeah.
Josh:You roll an attack, and then it will go against his reflex save instead.
Josh:Okay, so... Specifically because he has minus four, that's a crit.
Jorge:oh yes too bad too bad too bad no
Noah:If you could give us an idea of how you would perform, we would love to hear from you.
Mike:Do me a favor and make a DC 41 basic fort.
Josh:His DC right now is 35.
Josh:Fuck off.
Josh:Okay, so 50.
Josh:He rolled very well on the fort save.
Mike:So it's still a failure.
Mike:He takes full damage.
Mike:Because it's a crit, it steps the success down one.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:Yeah?
Noah:Wow.
Jorge:I love fear.
Jorge:I love fear.
Jorge:I love fear.
Noah:Wow.
Mike:81.
Josh:That's crazy.
Mike:Where's your dragon now?
Josh:Okay.
Mike:Where's your dragon now?
Mike:Where is he?
Josh:That actually makes him pass the bloodied point.
Mike:Oh, where's your dragon now?
Jorge:Fuck yes.
Noah:The first time in this man's life he's been bloodied.
Josh:It is the first time in this man's life that he's bloodied.
Josh:I need everybody in a 30-foot radius to make a saving throw, please.
Josh:30 feet actually doesn't hit Dawn.
Jorge:Which swan?
Jorge:No.
Tanner:Untyped.
Mike:Yeah, which one?
Noah:Untyped save.
Noah:Whoo-hoo!
Josh:It does hit Lev, Henrik, and Divex.
Noah:Nice.
Noah:All the way at the back.
Josh:Absolute... Oh, I'm sorry.
Tanner:Can you tell us what kind of saving throw?
Josh:Yes, it's a reflex save.
Noah:It's an untyped .
Josh:It is... It is a reflex save and... Oh, what are the traits on this?
Noah:Everything in this fight has to be untyped.
Josh:The traits are fire.
Josh:That's it.
Mike:I should have mentioned, this is going to feel like I'm retconning super hard.
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:I have Scroll Savant feat, which gives me four scrolls per day.
Mike:Because of the level that we are, they're all seventh level.
Mike:One of my scrolls that I prepare each day is Energy Aegis.
Mike:and it's just a daily spell that gives me five uh resistance to acid cold electricity fire force negative positive and sonic damage i cast it in between rooms because i forgot to cast it at the start of the day and i realized i had this while we were in in this this horrific dungeon
Jorge:I thought you were about to be like, and all of them are disintegrate.
Josh:Don't you have to cast it, though?
Josh:Totally retconning hard.
Noah:Here, I'll go off when I take a minute.
Josh:I'll give it to you.
Josh:That's fine.
Mike:uh i don't i don't feel good about this rule i'm gonna re i can use the mythic point after knowing the result or is it before okay um is this wait hold on uh
Jorge:All right, I got 37.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:And 41.
Josh:It's before.
Josh:You're supposed to use the hero point before you know what the result of the roll is.
Mike:This is not a spell?
Noah:It's been a long time.
Mike:Or is this a spell?
Josh:The only trait it has is fire.
Noah:It's been a long time.
Josh:It's not considered a spell for spell stuff.
Mike:OK.
Mike:Yeah, I'll go ahead and hero point this.
Mike:So I'm an expert, so I add how many?
Mike:Expert gives me four.
Josh:Expert gives you four, so you add six.
Jorge:Thanks.
Mike:Nice.
Noah:Wow.
Mike:OK.
Josh:Nice.
Noah:Well, normally...
Josh:Okay, absolutely.
Josh:So, normally the DC here is 41.
Josh:But it's minus 4, actually.
Josh:So, did anybody fail?
Josh:Yeah, 37 is the DC, so I think you succeeded.
Tanner:No.
Jorge:I think I just hit the DC, so I succeeded.
Jorge:Fuck yeah.
Noah:So you want to write.
Josh:Who here has evasion?
Josh:Okay, so Henrik critically succeeds.
Josh:He's not affected at all.
Josh:Divex critically succeeds.
Josh:He's not affected at all.
Josh:Lev, you are still going to take half damage.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:And it's fire damage?
Josh:It is fire damage.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:One second.
Josh:Where did it... Oh, there it is.
Josh:So you watch as Divex lets loose this disintegrating beam.
Noah:And that's the piece that we try to do.
Josh:It makes contact with the back shoulder blade of Victor, and his arm just disintegrates.
Josh:It's just gone.
Josh:He's lost his left arm.
Josh:And out of the hole where his arm was is a massive wave of...
Josh:just comes burning out, because he was sealed on the inside, and he is no longer sealed on the inside.
Noah:The fuck is this guy?
Mike:What do you mean sealed?
Mike:Is he a fucking bathtub, Josh?
Mike:What do you mean he's sealed on the inside?
Mike:Wait.
Jorge:He's like a mage killer golem or something.
Noah:He's strong.
Josh:You are going to take 35 points of fire damage, minus whatever your resistances are, Lev.
Jorge:I'm going to use my reaction from Crown of the Fire Eater to absorb 25 of that.
Jorge:So another 10.
Josh:Nice.
Josh:Sure.
Jorge:I'll take 10 damage.
Mike:Ten, do you have any resistances?
Mike:Does your resistances bring it to zero or something?
Jorge:No, I don't think that stacks.
Jorge:Does it stack?
Josh:What does the description of Crown of the Fire Eater say?
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:Yeah, no, the fire resistance and the maximum hit points for gained are 25.
Mike:Oh, okay.
Josh:OK, so.
Jorge:I'm still actually tattooed, but it's just two 10s.
Jorge:I've been meaning to get a different thing to put on my head, but I'll take it.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:So, I mean, listen, of the possible 121 damage that could have been dealt here, to only have 10 of it actually land is crazy.
Josh:But either way, Dynix, that was the end of your turn, right?
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:Okay, it's the wormwraith's turn.
Jorge:Wait, this was a manipulate.
Noah:Nah.
Josh:No, it wasn't.
Jorge:Oh, it says manipulate down there.
Jorge:Because it says fireball.
Jorge:But never mind.
Josh:Oh, yeah, that's just where I get the damage from.
Josh:This was literally just his arm exploded and all of the fire on the inside is outside.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:As he's like, fuck it, I stick my sword in the armhole.
Josh:No, he didn't... He didn't cast Fireball.
Mike:He didn't pop his arm off.
Josh:He cannot cast Magic.
Josh:It is the Wyrmwraith's turn.
Noah:Doesn't need to be.
Josh:What's the... What's the Wyrmwraith gonna do?
Mike:Also, Jorge, this is like a 50-50 heist damage divex.
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:I would have more damage if I knew he would just be doing damage.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:So there are lots of hallucination spells that I just would not be useful right now.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Oh no, never mind.
Josh:It doesn't have the time to cast this.
Josh:I was going to chuck one of you in an oubliette.
Josh:Instead, I think I'll just... Wormwraith will shoot...
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:It'll just shoot a spell at one of you.
Josh:Let's go for Henrik, you're closest.
Josh:Henrik, I'm going to make a... Oh, nothing.
Josh:You need to make a fort save, please.
Josh:The Elder Wyrmwraith is going to point a finger at you and speak a word of slaying.
Jorge:Is this mental?
Tanner:Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Mike:I... I... It'd be funnier if the spell was word of slang.
Josh:This is a death divine manipulate trait.
Jorge:Is this mental?
Jorge:Fuck.
Josh:Effect.
Tanner:Let me check something.
Tanner:It's death?
Josh:Uh-huh.
Josh:Death, divine, and manipulator.
Tanner:I think that matters.
Jorge:Fuck.
Jorge:Sucks it's not on Dlev.
Mike:So it's like, cap!
Noah:Mama.
Mike:Spam!
Noah:Mama.
Tanner:I'm sorry, Josh.
Tanner:I'm just trying to find this.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:I know you have, like, some benefit to death things, no?
Tanner:Plus one.
Tanner:Plus one, so it would be a 42 instead of a 41.
Josh:Okay, well, that is a success.
Josh:And you're a juggernaut, so it's a critical success.
Tanner:Call it a critical success.
Josh:Yeah, absolutely.
Josh:So... Yeah, so he just points at you, he says a word of slang, and you don't speak whatever language he's talking about, so it doesn't affect you.
Jorge:That just works?
Jorge:No!
Noah:I don't know.
Tanner:I'm just like, go off, queen.
Josh:So I think he's going to walk towards you.
Mike:I don't get that slang.
Tanner:Josh, might I strike him as he passes?
Josh:Yeah.
Noah:I don't know.
Mike:I'm not from your generation.
Mike:Groovy.
Mike:Oh, God.
Noah:You are so uncool.
Tanner:It looked like he might have.
Josh:You might.
Josh:You might.
Tanner:All right.
Tanner:Then allow me to.
Josh:I don't know if you will, but you certainly might.
Tanner:Warp glass.
Mike:Just having a Giant dragon walk by and just be like, get the fuck...
Tanner:I'm being told that it hits.
Josh:You're being told correctly.
Tanner:Turn that off.
Tanner:36 points.
Noah:I think that's a great question.
Josh:Nice.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:He's not dead.
Tanner:He's dead.
Josh:But I appreciate the effort.
Jorge:If that was near me, I would have stopped him.
Jorge:Henrik.
Noah:I think that's a great question.
Jorge:How do I throw shade on you?
Josh:Well, I mean...
Noah:I think that's a great question.
Jorge:You're healing me.
Jorge:You're the only reason I'm alive.
Josh:So now that he's moved there, he will use his last action to consume the souls of the damned.
Josh:The damned are the people who are adjacent to him.
Josh:So Dawn and Henrik, this is a death divine incapacitation effect.
Josh:I need you to make a will save.
Noah:It's anti-magic.
Noah:Okay, not that.
Tanner:A will save.
Noah:I'm going to try and... Unexpected trick.
Tanner:And it's dead?
Josh:Will save.
Josh:It is a death divine incapacitation.
Josh:Unfortunately, this guy is a higher level than you, so incapacitate doesn't do much.
Noah:Is a will save?
Noah:Interesting.
Jorge:So the spell is higher than eight.
Noah:I'm going to use my...
Jorge:Sad.
Tanner:Okay.
Tanner:I received a 42.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:Beasts.
Noah:Actually, I'm going to use one of my hero points.
Josh:All right, so you're a master, so you get a plus four.
Josh:Let's roll.
Jorge:Good luck.
Jorge:Good luck.
Jorge:You also have a coin in case this doesn't work.
Noah:I'm going to use my... I'll use my beasts to make that a 43.
Tanner:Is the coin a reaction?
Josh:I think so.
Noah:Just to be safe.
Josh:Yes, it is.
Josh:43.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:So a 43 and a 42 are both successes.
Jorge:Great success for him.
Josh:Oh, you have resolve.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:With a crit success, your soul stays firmly unconsumed.
Josh:With just a regular success, Henrik, unfortunately your soul is partially consumed.
Josh:As you feel... The best way that I can describe it is like the Dementors in Harry Potter, where it kind of feels like something's just being pulled out of you.
Tanner:I will cast a Patronus and it actually doesn't work.
Josh:And you are doomed, too.
Josh:No.
Josh:You tried, and you didn't roll high enough.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Josh:But I would have done a flat 120 damage to you had you rolled two less, so... Okay.
Tanner:Very well.
Tanner:Let me just check something.
Noah:I hope not
Jorge:John, you might take an attack of opportunity now, but good luck getting here.
Josh:Oh, he... When he turned bloody, that was supposed to change the music, and I missed my chance, and now it's awkward.
Mike:Thank you.
Jorge:Oh my god, guys, did you notice that the music changed when you turned bloody?
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:I'm just noticing it now.
Josh:No, it didn't.
Jorge:It's actually pretty cool.
Tanner:I feel like.
Jorge:It's really, really cool, John.
Josh:Shut up.
Josh:You wouldn't be the person to notice it anyway because something's wrong with your brain and you don't know what music is.
Noah:That's true.
Jorge:That's what I was trying to hype you up.
Noah:Jorge does not know what music is.
Noah:He just does not.
Noah:He's like, what is this?
Noah:What are these sounds?
Josh:I don't want your pity hype.
Jorge:I had a co-worker that was like, oh, you should go to Nashville.
Jorge:I think you'd like it.
Jorge:And I was like, why?
Jorge:And he's like, oh, do you like country music?
Jorge:And I was like, I don't like any music.
Jorge:And then I got really uncomfortable.
Jorge:For him.
Josh:Sure.
Jorge:For me, I thought it was funny.
Josh:Did you have anything else, Tanner?
Tanner:I, for some reason, I thought I had something that reduced my doom by one, but I must be confused.
Noah:Okay, so I have been hit multiple times.
Jorge:When...
Jorge:You can do that to someone once a day.
Jorge:You did to Divex for 10 minutes, I think.
Jorge:It might be something with the treat wounds or something.
Tanner:Oh, no, no, I think I know what that is.
Tanner:Is that Death Ward?
Tanner:Yeah, that's Death Ward.
Jorge:Maybe.
Tanner:Okay.
Tanner:Carry on.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:then it will be Don's turn.
Noah:There's a large dragon over me.
Noah:Oh, I first top my turn before everything goes crazy.
Noah:This was a Wand of Overflowing Life, which means at the top of my turn, it casts heal again on myself, which is cool.
Josh:Yeah.
Noah:So I get another 5d8 healing, I believe.
Josh:I'm just going to do what I did before through Liv.
Josh:And I'll just go through all of it, because apparently you don't have permissions for any of it.
Josh:21 points.
Noah:Nice, I'll take it.
Mike:It ain't fun.
Noah:Then, as I'm watching all my mirror image duplicates dance, the entire room starts to sway and split into two, and I will use precognition to analyze two divergent timelines.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Sure.
Jorge:Hell yeah.
Noah:First turn, in my turn one, I will...
Noah:Activate the rocket boots.
Tanner:Thank you.
Noah:The rocket boots over to here.
Noah:Second action, I will attempt to cut Victor's cord.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:That's an attack roll.
Noah:I'll just use the same thing as the crossbow, because I think it's the same to attack.
Noah:This says crossbow, but it's a dagger.
Noah:They're both
Noah:48.
Josh:Yeah, that's fine.
Noah:I cut Victor's cord.
Josh:That hits.
Noah:Did anything happen?
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:You watch as he almost freezes up for a second.
Josh:You've seen this effect happen before to other people as you cut their cord.
Noah:Oh, great.
Noah:Third action.
Josh:I'm not going to apply the status effect because we might be undoing all of it, but he is stunned three right now.
Noah:That is good to know.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Yeah.
Noah:That's crazy.
Tanner:Thank you.
Noah:Third action, I will pull out the silver anvil.
Noah:I think that's what it's called.
Josh:Yep.
Noah:It's in here.
Noah:It's Torag's silver anvil, but I think it's just silver anvil.
Noah:And I will attempt to strike Victor.
Noah:This has a map.
Noah:This is not going to be good.
Noah:That still misses.
Josh:Unfortunately.
Noah:Unfortunately.
Jorge:Minus six.
Noah:It still misses.
Noah:Oh!
Noah:No, I can't use reaction because reaction is starting my turn.
Noah:Okay.
Noah:Josh, do we know what the AC for the chords are by any chance?
Josh:The way that it works for hitting the cord is that if you hit the person with the weapon, you can instead choose to cut the cord.
Noah:Okay.
Noah:Second turn.
Noah:Exact same move.
Josh:Yep.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:I will again try to cut the cord in the second turn.
Josh:Absolutely.
Noah:We'll do this all again.
Josh:Yep.
Noah:That one would miss.
Josh:That misses.
Noah:Third action.
Noah:I will cast Technomantic Ray on the loom.
Jorge:Thank you.
Noah:Not a loom.
Noah:What is it called?
Noah:The school.
Josh:Spool?
Noah:I will just turn and fire off a blast.
Josh:Yeah, go for it.
Noah:I don't know what its AC is, so I'm just going to cast this into the void and hope it works.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:I know what its AC is, so that's fine.
Noah:This has map, I believe, so whatever this is, minus five.
Josh:Correct.
Noah:42 to hit.
Josh:A 42 would hit.
Noah:Apologies.
Josh:Apologies not accepted.
Josh:How dare you?
Noah:Oh, God.
Jorge:I like to imagine Noah's like, I'm still going to cut the cord.
Jorge:I just want to know how much damage I'm going to do.
Jorge:I don't even care.
Josh:That might actually end up be what happens.
Tanner:you
Noah:55 points of damage, 43 sonic, 1 bludgeoning, 11 untyped from overdrive.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:After that happens, you watch as the last thread that's currently connected to the Blush Sinker disconnects.
Noah:But not Rampart?
Josh:No.
Noah:Okay.
Noah:I'm going to go with the first turn where Rampart
Jorge:Delicious.
Noah:And then I, in schism, I'll say, this hammer does spirit damage, and I'll wave the hammer around.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:So Rampart is stunned three.
Noah:That's the end of my turn.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:Give me a try at it.
Josh:Is that the end of your turn?
Josh:Yeah, right?
Josh:Okay, it's Victor's turn.
Josh:Victor's stunned three.
Josh:Victor's stunned zero.
Josh:It's Lev's turn.
Jorge:Yes!
Jorge:So he is off-guard still.
Josh:Yeah, because... Oh, actually, sorry.
Noah:What do you think?
Jorge:I will fear him again.
Josh:First you're going to take 105 points of damage and your armor will break.
Jorge:Yes, okay.
Josh:Six seconds later, he gets punched.
Josh:Nothing happens.
Josh:Six seconds later, his armor explodes.
Josh:105.
Jorge:167?
Josh:Is it 106?
Mike:I thought it was 106.
Josh:I mean, I can scroll up and up.
Mike:Actually, yeah, I can't remember, but... It was 105.
Jorge:I'll take 106.
Jorge:All right.
Noah:I have this hammer.
Noah:You're probably better with it than I am.
Jorge:That's fine.
Jorge:I can still do Jim.
Mike:It was.
Mike:Yeah.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:Yeah, I can remember things sometimes.
Jorge:Oh.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:It was 105.
Jorge:So my fast healing too.
Jorge:Cool.
Jorge:Now I will.
Jorge:Now.
Jorge:48.
Jorge:I'm assuming he's feared back up to four again.
Josh:Well, he's Feared 3 now, because he had a turn.
Jorge:Well, then at 48 to demoralize him again.
Josh:Oh, you demoralized him again.
Josh:Okay, yes, he's back up to Feared 4.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:You're just maintaining that, of course.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:Thank you.
Jorge:Now I'm going to... That was one action.
Jorge:My second action, I'm going to empower my weapon implement, which will give me two more to hit, plus two to hit.
Josh:Okay, yeah.
Jorge:So the differential now should be plus eight, because he's flanked.
Jorge:Plus two from the weapon, minus four from the fear.
Josh:What do you mean by differential?
Jorge:Like, his AC goes down by four, and then he also, from the fear, then he loses another two from being flanked, and then my weapon does an extra plus two to hit.
Jorge:Basically, I'm just recapping it for myself, right?
Josh:Okay, so you have eight points additional, but don't add any of that stuff.
Jorge:No, no, no, I know.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:I'm only adding the two.
Jorge:I'm only adding the two.
Josh:Right.
Jorge:Yes.
Mike:And four more.
Josh:Don't do that.
Josh:A 45 hits.
Jorge:Cool.
Jorge:Damage.
Jorge:In additional, so I do four status damage from my regalia.
Jorge:So you can add that to the 14.
Jorge:So it could be plus 14.
Josh:Sure, but the status damage means that you're increasing the damage that you do slashing, and that doesn't affect him right now.
Jorge:Gotcha.
Josh:The status damage and circumstance damage get added to the damage type of the weapon, which is slashing.
Jorge:Gotcha.
Jorge:I thought the exploit vulnerability made my weapon do that damage to go through immunities.
Josh:I mean, I'll double check, but I don't think that's how that works.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:So, yeah, you do that.
Josh:You got a success.
Josh:You've exploited its personal antithesis, right?
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:So now I have to go to your class.
Josh:I dislike how they organized the Thaumaturge's class details.
Josh:Personal antithesis.
Josh:Let's see.
Josh:This causes the target creature and only the target creature to gain a weakness against your unarmed and weapon strikes equal to 2 plus half your level.
Josh:So it's just taking that weakness.
Jorge:Gotcha, gotcha.
Josh:It doesn't change the damage type of your weapon.
Jorge:Gotcha, gotcha.
Jorge:And then my, I do an additional, OK, sorry, just let me check something.
Josh:I mean, regardless, what damage type is it going to be?
Jorge:What do you mean?
Josh:You said you were going to do an additional... I assume you're doing additional damage?
Jorge:It's the plus 4 from the, no, no, I was just saying from the status bonus.
Jorge:I just had a better hit to hit.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:Thank you.
Jorge:So I'll just attack again.
Josh:Yeah, so he takes the 10 damage from his personal antithesis.
Jorge:Cool, cool, cool.
Josh:42 hits.
Josh:It's another 10 damage from the personal antithesis.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:He's not looking fantastic.
Josh:I mean, he's still standing.
Josh:But you guys have been whittling away at his health.
Jorge:Excellent.
Josh:Anything else?
Jorge:No, that is it.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:It's the spool's turn.
Josh:The spool will send out a thread that attaches both to the Fateweaver and to the Blushsinger.
Josh:They both have one thread.
Josh:It's the end of its turn.
Josh:It's going to take 4d6 damage, right?
Tanner:Yeah, slashing, if that means it.
Josh:Okay, yeah, roll 4d6 then.
Tanner:Sure.
Josh:An additional 15 points of slashing damage.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:It continues to cut it up.
Josh:That isn't enough to hit any threshold, but you are dealing damage to it.
Josh:It then will make a flat check to attempt to... Oh, sorry, it's a reflex DC to try and stop the slashing damage.
Josh:It fails.
Josh:It's an inanimate object.
Josh:It continues to take slashing damage.
Tanner:Okay.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Now it's your turn.
Tanner:And... Never mind.
Tanner:Okay.
Tanner:Um... Uh... Okay, so... Yeah, so my question is, when the dragon did the soul thing, you said it targeted adjacent creatures?
Jorge:I guess go to the dragon.
Jorge:I don't know if you could hurt Rampart.
Josh:You are adjacent to it.
Tanner:Does that mean even though I don't appear adjacent to it, I currently am?
Josh:I guess you can't see the bounding box around it.
Josh:If you hover over it, it shows its reach.
Tanner:Oh.
Jorge:You hover it.
Josh:Is everything in that adjacent box?
Tanner:Oh, okay, okay.
Tanner:Yeah, yeah.
Tanner:So I can strike him from here.
Josh:Yes, you can.
Tanner:Epic.
Tanner:I have hit.
Josh:You have.
Jorge:Nice.
Jorge:Oh, thank god.
Josh:Nice.
Tanner:37 points of damage.
Josh:I'm pretty sure that brings it under the bloodied threshold.
Josh:It does!
Josh:He doesn't have anything fun when he's bloodied.
Josh:You've just really... You've been injuring this Elder Wyrmwraith, which is rude of you.
Tanner:Um... Okay.
Tanner:Uh...
Jorge:You also have to add plus 4 to that damage for the regalia.
Josh:From the regalia, right?
Tanner:Epic.
Tanner:What, um... Who's hasted right now?
Jorge:No one.
Jorge:Oh, I'm always hasted.
Tanner:You're always hasted.
Josh:I'm hasted, but only in real life.
Jorge:I'm always hasted for attacks.
Jorge:And once a day, I'm always hasted for speed.
Mike:I believe Don has also based it.
Tanner:Okay, so... Alright, then I'm not...
Josh:He was hasted, I don't know if he's still hasted.
Noah:I'm not sorry.
Noah:I thought I turned that off.
Noah:I'm not hasted.
Noah:I'm out of everything.
Noah:I'm so low on all the stuff I can do.
Josh:Everybody in your aura, which I guess is just Lev.
Tanner:um all right then i'll let out a cadence call um and that will haste you uh oh is dawn not in the aura oh
Jorge:Here.
Jorge:I am here, Commander.
Jorge:Leave me reporting for duty.
Jorge:Leave the bat.
Josh:No.
Jorge:No, Don left.
Noah:Sorry.
Jorge:Never mind.
Jorge:He probably wouldn't have done that.
Tanner:Okay, yeah, I can't read.
Tanner:Or measure distance, I guess.
Josh:That's fine.
Tanner:Alright, then instead of that, I'm going to attempt to fight off my Sicken condition.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:I can make a Fortitude save.
Josh:Yes, please.
Josh:You're looking to hit a 41.
Josh:Unfortunate.
Tanner:I don't.
Noah:Thank you.
Tanner:And then I'm just going to raise my shield.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:That brings us over to Mr. Divex.
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:My fun 9th level spell is not here because of the dragon.
Mike:Let's see, where can I move?
Mike:I would like to move... Does this get me within 30 feet?
Mike:No.
Mike:Okay, so let's go back.
Mike:Is there any way to get within... Yeah, I guess if I walk real direct.
Mike:Hey, Rampart, how's it going?
Jorge:Oh?
Noah:Well,
Mike:That's 20 feet!
Josh:You don't want to hang out next to Rampart?
Mike:Hold on, put me up here.
Mike:Yeah, okay, 25.
Mike:This has got to be...
Mike:25.
Mike:Uh-uh.
Mike:Nope.
Josh:Why not?
Josh:It does.
Mike:So it looks like I'm going to attack the Wyrmwraith.
Mike:That's because I probably will next turn.
Mike:But for this turn, we're going to switch things up a bit.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:And I forgot to roll two attack rolls for my last disintegrate because I cast Sure Strike.
Mike:We're not going to forget this turn.
Josh:Right.
Mike:So we're going to do this whole...
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Of course you have another disintegrate.
Josh:Yeah, go for it.
Mike:I am a Universalist Wizard.
Josh:Fucking wizard.
Mike:If I prepare one Disintegrate, I really have two Disintegrates.
Jorge:Waiter, who are you doing this against?
Mike:And... Rampart.
Jorge:Oh, hell yeah.
Jorge:Okay, dope.
Mike:Yeah.
Noah:he's like
Mike:And actually... No, I want to try something funny with this dragon.
Jorge:For a second, I thought you moved.
Jorge:I don't know why you moved then.
Jorge:I'm sorry.
Jorge:I don't understand this.
Jorge:Okay.
Mike:If it's alive during my next turn.
Mike:But I will note that I have a third Disintegrate.
Josh:Wow.
Josh:Confidence.
Mike:I have a third Disintegrate because of a feat I took that gives me another Drain-bonded item for two levels lower than my highest, and I just happened to prepare Disintegrate at seven.
Josh:You're lucky this Mermith doesn't have a second nullify.
Mike:But anyways... I'm very grateful.
Josh:Yeah, roll two attack rolls.
Noah:you you
Josh:Take the higher one.
Mike:Oh, I'm rolling damage.
Mike:Attack.
Mike:This is, again, Shadow Signet to Rampart's Reflex.
Josh:Yeah, of course.
Jorge:His will is also lowered because of fear.
Mike:Oh, wow.
Mike:40 is the best we're going to get.
Jorge:Oh my goodness.
Mike:But is that to hit him?
Mike:No, this is to hit me.
Josh:Well, so, I mean, I can tell you that a 40 is a hit against his reflex DC.
Mike:He has to make a fort save.
Josh:Yeah, and he's really good at those right now.
Noah:Stop saving, too.
Josh:43.
Josh:Nice.
Josh:39.
Mike:He does succeed, so he will take half damage, which is...
Mike:48.
Mike:48?
Mike:49.
Jorge:Imagine if saves were manipulate actions.
Mike:And that's the turn.
Jorge:And you get to go, doing!
Jorge:Single-handedly, he's acting as if getting feared isn't helping.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:It's a move, a one-action spell, and then a flourish to action.
Josh:Yeah, I mean, you have single-handedly chunked, like, a third of his health in two spells, which was very rude of you.
Mike:Disintegrate.
Mike:There's a third one.
Josh:It is... I'm talking specifically about damage!
Jorge:God, he's trying to set us up.
Josh:I'm not trying to play you guys against each other.
Noah:He's trying to play us against each other.
Josh:You guys do that enough on your own, it's fine.
Jorge:he's trying to separate us
Josh:It's the Worm's turn.
Josh:The Worm doesn't have any really fun spells to do, so I think instead it'll just do a Draconic Frenzy.
Josh:I guess on Henrik, yeah?
Tanner:Josh, I might have to retcon something for my benefit.
Josh:Okay, sure.
Tanner:The thing that made me doomed too was a death effect, and I rolled a success.
Josh:Uh-huh.
Josh:It was.
Josh:Yes.
Tanner:Okay, I did not realize that part of my major evolution is if I roll a success on a save against a death or negative effect, it's a critical success instead.
Josh:Okay, you're not doomed.
Tanner:Sorry about that.
Josh:You are doomless.
Tanner:I was just... Yeah, that's fair.
Josh:That's fine.
Josh:I mean, I'm going to hit you with a draconic frenzy right now.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:So, like...
Tanner:I would too if I was you.
Josh:And you aren't.
Josh:But we'll see what this does anyway.
Josh:So it's going to be... What is it?
Josh:A jaw strike and then two claw attacks?
Josh:So we'll start with the jaw strike.
Jorge:Does it apply to the map as you go?
Tanner:Holy moly.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:Draconic Frenzy specifically doesn't.
Josh:It applies the map after all three attacks.
Jorge:Because I know Eidolons they do, which sucked.
Josh:Yes.
Josh:Well, Eidolons are not Elder Wyrmwraiths.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Jorge:Why do they call it Draconic Frenzy?
Jorge:It should be like Eidolon Frenzy.
Josh:Because Draconic Frenzy only does that after a certain level.
Jorge:It shouldn't get you hopes up.
Josh:Like, depending on the level of the monster, then it starts moving the map afterwards.
Jorge:Gotcha.
Josh:If you were this guy's level, then, you know.
Jorge:Mm-hmm.
Josh:I think I missed anyway.
Josh:So, the jaws miss, and then we'll just roll both claw attacks.
Tanner:Yes.
Mike:Oh, it's in red.
Mike:Target has sturdy shield major plus two.
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:Like, it's the worst thing ever.
Josh:Okay, so another one of those missed, and one of those it looks like it hit just barely because you're sickened.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:So... You are going to take... You are going to take 33 points of acid damage.
Mike:Oh.
Tanner:Yeah.
Tanner:Shut up.
Tanner:That was...
Tanner:It's not even sick.
Tanner:It's sickened.
Mike:The magic of friendship.
Tanner:Let's switch our reach.
Tanner:Yeah.
Josh:And then, do you have any magic effects on you right now?
Josh:To your benefit?
Tanner:Um... Any magic effects?
Jorge:I don't think he does.
Josh:You do!
Josh:You have Raise a Shield.
Tanner:Razor Shield is not magic!
Jorge:That's not magic.
Mike:Wow.
Josh:Oh, right!
Josh:Sorry, I'm thinking of Shield the Spell, not Raise a Shield, which is just you holding a shield up.
Josh:I take it back.
Josh:No, no, no, no.
Jorge:I was going to rethink Henrik's entire character and be like, he's a fucking nerd wizard.
Mike:I'm not actually strong enough.
Noah:this whole time.
Josh:No, I'm sorry.
Noah:He's been like, oh, Shields, oh, Shields.
Josh:Roll a fort save for me, please.
Tanner:I cast spiky shield.
Mike:I'm not actually... I'm not actually strong enough to hold up this field or race it.
Tanner:Make a fort save?
Josh:Roll a fort save, please.
Josh:This is the divine trait.
Jorge:You know that Skyrim build where you just build an alchemist blacksmith that just makes armor to make you strong?
Jorge:That's literally this.
Tanner:I don't understand why I gotta make the save, but I'm pretty sure I failed.
Mike:Isn't there a...
Josh:Okay, yes, a 34 is a critical failure, actually.
Tanner:Oh my god.
Josh:So you... A 34 is a critical failure.
Tanner:What?
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:I don't know what to tell you.
Tanner:Oh my god
Jorge:I thought he was a 42 save.
Jorge:That sucks.
Josh:Different saves for different things.
Josh:This is not a spell.
Josh:You don't lose any additional damage, but he will heal 24 hit points.
Josh:And you...
Josh:will become drained too.
Jorge:Barry and Forge.
Josh:That is the end of its term.
Josh:Dawn.
Noah:Yeah, gosh, I am so low on all the things that I can do.
Noah:I will... Oh, I have this spell.
Noah:Oh, I forgot I have this spell.
Noah:I will cast Sure Strike.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:So surely I can strike this guy.
Noah:I'll cast... I'm going to try and hit him with the Silver Anvil.
Noah:Am I gonna do this twice?
Noah:Uh... Not that one.
Josh:Yeah, that misses, unfortunately.
Noah:Yeah.
Noah:Go back!
Jorge:Oof.
Noah:I'm gonna use my second hero point.
Josh:That really misses.
Noah:I'm gonna use my second hero point.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Absolutely.
Noah:So I am...
Josh:You're a master, so plus four.
Noah:And this does spirit damage.
Josh:Oh, it's also giving him off guard, which it shouldn't be, because he is immune.
Josh:A 48 is a crit.
Josh:This does do, because it's holy, it does do spirit damage.
Noah:All these things.
Josh:Because it has the holy rune, it does spirit damage.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:I like how I can see your cursor moving around in the UI, but I can't see the UI, so it just looks like you're spazzed out.
Mike:What do I do?
Tanner:Let's go!
Mike:What do I do?
Josh:Okay.
Noah:But it does damage.
Josh:That is, all told, two spirit damage.
Josh:But it does damage, which triggers an arena change.
Josh:is crazy.
Josh:I'll say fuck off.
Noah:There's so much blood coming out of Don's face.
Josh:I'm keeping the dragon though.
Josh:Fuck you guys.
Josh:And the whole area switches again.
Noah:He's just swinging this hammer that he doesn't know how to use.
Noah:Just fucking die already!
Noah:What is this?
Josh:there is no longer a big hole in the middle.
Tanner:Is there no longer a big hole in the middle of the field?
Jorge:I like...
Josh:That's gone.
Josh:The dragon state, though, that came with it.
Noah:Why did you keep the dragon?
Noah:Okay.
Josh:Fuck you!
Josh:Sorry.
Josh:Fuck you!
Josh:I don't know how to say fuck in a bad Slavic accent.
Noah:So... The last one was the Void Arena, and he was immune to Void.
Mike:Fuck you.
Noah:This one appears to be the... Are we back on magic?
Noah:Is he just doing magic again?
Josh:Okay, sure.
Jorge:Or is this now he can take void damage?
Noah:I think you can take void damage.
Noah:This appears to be elemental damage.
Noah:I'm gonna... Just swinging this thing around, I'm just gonna say fucking die and cast Telekinetic Projectile.
Noah:I think this has... This still has map on it, right?
Noah:It has the attack.
Josh:Yeah.
Noah:It does have map.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:Only high-level dragons are immune.
Noah:The telekinetic projectile I'm using is the end of the meteor hammer.
Noah:I'm just going to make it swing forward.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:Absolutely.
Jorge:you
Noah:There's a map on this, so whatever it is, not super misses.
Noah:So misses.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:Is that the end of your turn?
Noah:I'm going to swing by and I'll see y'all die!
Josh:I think Lev is going to get his wish, because I think Victor really wants to punch Dawn in the face.
Noah:I hate this dude so much.
Josh:Yeah, I mean, I don't know what he would be doing if not punching Dawn in the face.
Mike:You could move to attack Divex and risk attacks of opportunity.
Tanner:Oh, no.
Noah:No, it's cool.
Noah:He goes to punch and it just goes straight through a mirror image.
Josh:Absolutely.
Noah:Now it's a D6.
Josh:We'll do another one.
Josh:Roll another d4.
Tanner:I think it's a defect.
Noah:I think it's a D6 now.
Noah:Because it's... I don't want to end the two.
Josh:Oh, yeah, it is a d6.
Josh:One or two on a d6.
Josh:Nice.
Noah:Oh, that one does hit me.
Josh:I mean, it's not a crit, so it's actually substantially less damage.
Josh:41 points of pledge on the page.
Noah:I'll just take, I'll like kind of block it and take it and I'll just say, why aren't you dead yet?
Noah:You have one arm.
Josh:Yeah, he's going to try and touch you again.
Josh:That's mean.
Noah:You adamantine freak.
Josh:Oh, do you have armor?
Jorge:Does he?
Josh:Did I break your armor already?
Josh:Because it's definitely... This wouldn't have broken it, but I think it did break it last time.
Noah:Yeah, it's broken.
Noah:Yeah, I got broken.
Noah:That one misses too.
Jorge:Does he have less attacks because he's less arms?
Josh:No.
Josh:It's the same arm!
Josh:Uh... Nice.
Jorge:Just try it, just try and you know.
Noah:That one also takes a mirror image.
Mike:Eh.
Mike:Eh.
Josh:That's the end of his turn.
Noah:I'll say, are you a little off balance?
Noah:Five fingers.
Noah:Sway a little bit on my face.
Josh:It's very funny for the person with only one arm to be insulting the other person with only one arm.
Josh:...
Noah:I'll just say, I'll raise both arms and say, this is what it feels like to be two-armed again.
Noah:You'll never experience it.
Josh:Lev, it's your turn.
Jorge:Demoralize!
Noah:This is insane.
Mike:56.
Josh:This is compounding.
Jorge:Yes!
Jorge:Fuck this guy!
Josh:Each time you demoralize, it becomes easier to demoralize the next time.
Jorge:Alright.
Jorge:Yeah, and I already used it on him, but I also have Evangelize, so in the future I can then also stack another minus two.
Josh:It's a very rude combination.
Jorge:All right, so I will meek and lift the egg.
Josh:I mean, eventually stupefies him, which is also a status effect.
Noah:Hello.
Jorge:No, I know, but I mean, I can stack, because stupefied's different than feared.
Josh:Right, but they're both status penalties, so they don't stack.
Jorge:Oh, good to know, good to know.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:That sucks.
Jorge:Well, I guess that's good.
Josh:No, you don't just get to make everybody minus six.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:What does 49 do?
Jorge:Is that a crit?
Josh:49 is not a crit.
Noah:Is he not off guard?
Josh:He's not off guard.
Josh:He can't be flanked.
Josh:No.
Noah:This guy can't be flanked?
Noah:This jerk.
Josh:He was off guard before because of Lev's critical specialization.
Josh:That makes him off guard, but that wore off.
Jorge:Does he take any damage from the fire or anything?
Jorge:Avoid anything?
Josh:He's going to take some damage here.
Josh:He's going to take 34 points of slashing damage.
Noah:Back on physical damage.
Jorge:So there's an extra plus 4 from the status damage.
Josh:Yes, there it is.
Josh:Good point.
Jorge:So it's going to be 34, 38, 48.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Alright, I will make another attack.
Josh:Oh, from the actual... Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Noah:I don't think that's the question.
Josh:Okay, he is not looking good.
Josh:He is mortal.
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:Lev never gets to kill anything, but it's okay.
Noah:Great.
Noah:Thank you.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:I understand.
Jorge:This is just going to hurt him.
Jorge:It's not going to kill him, and I'm okay with that.
Jorge:I want everyone to know.
Josh:Are you, like, trying to reverse psychology me into giving you the kill?
Noah:I don't think that it really matters.
Josh:Is that what that was?
Jorge:No, I'm trying to reverse psychology the universe.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:there were 38,000.
Josh:Well, a 40 is just barely a hit because he's frightened four.
Jorge:Yes!
Jorge:Yes!
Jorge:An additional 14!
Josh:He normally has a 44 AC.
Jorge:Add it to a 40.
Jorge:Add 40.
Jorge:Add 14 to that.
Jorge:56.
Jorge:No.
Josh:Okay, so here's the thing.
Josh:That does kill him, but I don't want to give it to you because of what you said 10 seconds ago.
Josh:So he's hanging on with one HP left.
Jorge:No.
Josh:How do you want to do this?
Jorge:Yes.
Jorge:So Lev, when he's punching, he's punching my friend Don.
Jorge:And he goes to punch him again.
Jorge:And then it stops.
Jorge:And then there's a mirror image of Lev next to him, holding his hand, holding his arm back, turns him around, and then the other one cuts off his other arm and then beats him to death with it.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:As he's doing this, he's chanting about all the sparrows.
Jorge:He's listing names of sparrows he knows Rampart has killed in the past.
Jorge:And he's like, I will kill you.
Jorge:I will send you personally to Nox.
Jorge:And then we will both die in hell.
Noah:As you're doing this, I'll just say, save the brain.
Noah:I want the terminal.
Noah:Save the brain.
Jorge:I stopped aiming for the brain.
Noah:I'll also say, Henrik, I think I have a concussion.
Josh:But you do kill him.
Josh:Everything's spinning.
Noah:There's three of you.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:Anything else?
Noah:I hope the dragon's still here.
Mike:It's the fate of me.
Jorge:That's my turn.
Josh:Okay, Henrik.
Tanner:um does the spool go between us and then it'll take 46 slashing damage
Noah:Oh, it's going to rampart.
Josh:Oh, it does.
Josh:And it will reach out a connection to the Fateweaver, to Rampart, and to the Blushsinger.
Josh:It will.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:One second.
Josh:I have to do math.
Josh:I can't do math.
Josh:I'm going to have Google do math for me.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:You continue to do damage.
Josh:Unfortunately, you still have not hit that damage threshold, and so all of these stick around.
Josh:I believe there are now two threads in the Orestians and then one thread in Rampart.
Jorge:Bingo Bongo the dragon.
Josh:Now it's your turn, Rampart.
Tanner:um yeah uh let me think
Noah:Yeah, we gotta kill this dragon.
Noah:Also, we gotta... We should probably take out these threats.
Jorge:I don't do ranged, so I'm hoping you guys can get the other stuff.
Noah:Yeah, I'll take out... I'll take out the threats.
Jorge:Maybe even.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:Is it worth me trying to hit it with a plus 19 attack or is that going to be too low?
Mike:So the spool, I forgot, is it coming out of the dragon or is it something coming out of the top of the room?
Jorge:Wait, so did the spool just happen, or was that forgotten before?
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:So then that's why we're doing that now.
Tanner:No, it just happened.
Josh:It happens between Lev and Tenric in the initial order.
Jorge:Cool, cool.
Jorge:So we got at least a round for it.
Jorge:The top.
Mike:Oh, I see.
Josh:The spool is suspended, or it's floating in the air about 20 feet above this central dais area.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:And when someone did 30-ish damage in the 30s, I think, it... Yeah.
Josh:In total, it has taken 76 damage.
Josh:Sorry, not 76.
Josh:Plus an additional 40.
Josh:However many that is.
Jorge:106.
Noah:Yeah, it's like around 50, I think, threads.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:When someone did like a 30 damage plus attack at once, it dropped a thread from everyone.
Jorge:So that's a threshold.
Jorge:So we know someone can do a lot of damage to it.
Jorge:It'll cut everyone.
Mike:Okay.
Jorge:I can move to the spellcaster now.
Tanner:yeah i don't think i'll be able to all right i'm going to strike the worm wraith uh it's going to be a knockdown strike um
Jorge:What a fucking idiot.
Jorge:Lev says as he's like over the corpse of... What a fucking idiot!
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:You bumbling fool!
Noah:You can't do that.
Josh:Why is this guy not immune to prone?
Josh:He has wings.
Jorge:Lavote's not trip, it's knockdown.
Jorge:So from down here, he's gonna, like, uppercut him with the shield.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:He's going to get a big fly swatter and just...
Jorge:Yeah.
Noah:Oh, that was nice of him to die.
Tanner:Okay.
Tanner:I've hit.
Josh:You have?
Tanner:Alright, so I'm going to do damage.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:It's 33.
Tanner:I have improved knockdown.
Josh:Absolutely.
Jorge:Oh, I forgot to...
Tanner:Instead of making a strike followed by a trip, you attempt a single strike.
Tanner:If you do and your strike hits, instead of rolling a check for your trip attempt, you automatically apply the critical success of a trip.
Tanner:If you use a two-handed melee weapon for the strike, you can use the weapon's damage die size instead of the regular damage die size for the damage from the critical trip.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:So I think that means I do a d10 of damage for critically tripping him.
Josh:That is correct.
Josh:He falls prone and takes 1d10 bludgeoning damage.
Noah:stupid dragon.
Tanner:Um, and I'm a Titan wrestler, so even though he's very large, I can trade.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Yeah, absolutely.
Josh:This dragon's on the ground.
Tanner:Um, and then... Uh... I'm gonna try to fort save against the sickened.
Jorge:You don't want to just bash him.
Noah:You know, I don't know.
Tanner:I don't think I'll hit him.
Tanner:I mean, I can try to hit him, I guess.
Tanner:Maybe I'll crit.
Tanner:That'll be fun.
Noah:I don't know.
Jorge:Also, plus more to the damage he did.
Tanner:Alright.
Jorge:He gets a status bonus for the regalia.
Josh:Right.
Josh:Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Noah:I don't know.
Jorge:Does that also apply to the trip?
Josh:I will.
Jorge:I think it does.
Josh:Probably.
Josh:I'll double check.
Tanner:It is, like, theoretically a different attack?
Noah:I don't know.
Josh:One second.
Josh:I don't know if it applies to all damage.
Tanner:Alright.
Josh:Yeah, it's two.
Josh:Oh, no.
Josh:Two damage rolls.
Noah:Yeah.
Josh:That was a damage roll.
Josh:Yeah, I'll give you an additional four to the trip.
Tanner:I'll make another strike at him.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:No, you won't.
Tanner:I'll take a hero point.
Jorge:Ear point.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:That'll be all.
Mike:So we really need to take care of this spool.
Tanner:Yeah.
Josh:You could just leave it.
Josh:Maybe it's doing things that are helpful.
Mike:That's fine.
Mike:No, no.
Mike:I'll spend my second drain bonded item at seventh level.
Mike:The last drain bonded item I have above sixth level, mind you.
Mike:Didn't I cast this?
Mike:Oh, I probably moved something out to put shit here.
Mike:Okay.
Mike:So it just removes it.
Mike:Frigid Flurry, I am going to dash like Fox from Brawl through the center of the spool.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:The spool will fail a reflex save.
Mike:very nice.
Mike:Also, does it have to be through the spool over there, or can I pick some spool thing closer to the dragon?
Josh:There is one big spool in here.
Mike:Okay.
Josh:There aren't a lot of baby spools.
Mike:Uh, damage?
Mike:Because it auto-fails?
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:It automatically fails, so it will just take the full damage.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:You will then fall out of the air.
Mike:Uh, how high did I need to go to hit it?
Josh:It's 20 feet up.
Josh:Which means you have to angle such that you're going 20 feet up.
Mike:Yeah, why not?
Josh:I would rule that you'd be falling 40 feet.
Noah:Thank you.
Tanner:you
Mike:Uh... 40 feet... 40 feet seems far.
Mike:That means that I'm moving as far past the spool as I am before the spool.
Mike:But I can stop after the spool.
Josh:Yes.
Josh:It carries you to the other end of the area, and the area is in a 120-foot line.
Mike:Yeah, but the path builder version of this says up to 120 foot line.
Josh:But the Archives of Nethis and the Foundry version say a 120-foot line.
Mike:Fair enough.
Mike:I thought I moved 90 feet to get there.
Mike:I was here, so it's... Yeah.
Josh:Okay, fine.
Josh:You move 90 feet, so you're falling 30 feet.
Josh:That's fine.
Josh:Um, okay, so 57 hits a threshold, uh, and you do watch as one thread on each snaps, so now there's one on the two Oreskians and none on, um, what's his face?
Josh:I don't know.
Tanner:Reinhart.
Josh:Reinhard.
Jorge:Doesn't matter.
Josh:Uh, okay.
Mike:VR guy.
Mike:That's where I want to be.
Josh:Uh, and then you fall 30 feet, um,
Josh:So you were going to take 15 points of bludgeoning damage and land prone.
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:15 damage, you said?
Josh:Hate that.
Josh:15 bludgeoning damage.
Josh:Is that the first time you got injured this fight?
Mike:No, I think I took damage earlier.
Mike:Maybe I took damage from something prior.
Mike:172.
Josh:That's the end of your turn, right?
Mike:That was one action.
Josh:Okay, never mind.
Noah:Right.
Mike:So let's see.
Mike:How can I get back?
Mike:I want to stay near this and continue to do...
Mike:damage.
Mike:I don't know if I can beat the threshold the whole time.
Mike:Let's work on... Actually, wait.
Mike:What's the range of chain lightning?
Mike:500 feet?
Mike:Uh... No, I already cast it.
Jorge:Each chain I think is 30.
Mike:Yeah, yeah.
Mike:I already cast a two-action spell, so I'll just walk towards the dais in the center.
Tanner:Blessing carry.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Now it's the Wyrmwaith's turn.
Noah:.
Noah:.
Mike:Yep.
Mike:Oh, I can't walk all that distance.
Noah:.
Mike:I can only walk 25.
Mike:Yep.
Tanner:This is absolutely cursed.
Josh:Yeah, because he spent one action to stand up.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:.
Noah:.
Noah:.
Josh:What's the Wyrmwaith going to do?
Josh:It doesn't have either of its two abilities back, which is annoying.
Josh:I would... Oh, actually.
Josh:Does that help?
Noah:Is that right?
Josh:No!
Josh:Why does... It has the Create Undead spell, but it takes a day to cast, so it's not going to do it.
Noah:No.
Mike:I think it's time.
Josh:I think it might just Draconic Frenzy on Henrik again, because that way it can just hit you three times.
Noah:What?
Jorge:It can make three attacks.
Josh:It can hit three times.
Josh:Oops.
Josh:I hit one of them by accident with Matt minus four, so just add four to the middle one.
Josh:Oh, that's the one that hit anyway.
Noah:I'm sorry.
Josh:Okay, fine.
Josh:You get hit once.
Josh:You are going to take another 38 points of acid damage, and you need to make another fort save, please.
Tanner:Another fort save.
Josh:This one is not.
Tanner:This one was not death.
Josh:This one is... I don't know if it has anything.
Tanner:It was just like holy or something, right?
Josh:Divine.
Noah:Thank you.
Tanner:Okay, that's what I meant.
Tanner:37.
Josh:That is a failure, so it is going to get 24 temporary hit points.
Josh:And...
Josh:Oh, that's actually just a failure?
Josh:That's just a failure.
Josh:So you increase your trained condition by one.
Tanner:Oh my god.
Josh:And that is, unfortunately, the end of its turn.
Noah:All right.
Tanner:Is there a death by draining?
Jorge:You could step away from this thing if you'd like.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:Yes.
Josh:I'm trying to kill you.
Tanner:Is that a thing?
Josh:Um...
Josh:Each time you are drained, you take a status penalty to con checks, and you lose a number of hit points equal to your level times the drained value.
Tanner:Oh, it's just... Yeah.
Josh:Losing these hit points doesn't count as taking damage.
Josh:So, like, yes, you could... Yeah.
Tanner:If it reduces your max to zero, that would be death.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:It is your turn, Dawn, when you would like to go.
Noah:Oh, yeah, sure.
Noah:I will jog on up.
Noah:Try to take care of these spools in a minute.
Noah:I'll jog on up.
Noah:And then I'm just going to try and punch this guy.
Noah:Yeah, I'm going to try and punch the hood.
Josh:Yeah, go for it.
Josh:Oh, I was dumb.
Josh:I forgot the worm wraith was on the ground, so I forgot to stand up.
Josh:Luckily, I know that being prone is optimal for all characters at all times, so it's fine.
Noah:All time.
Josh:Well, that's still missed.
Noah:Well, you win.
Josh:Maybe being prone is helpful.
Noah:Nope.
Noah:I'm going to use one of Lev's coins.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:What is it?
Noah:The d2?
Josh:Yeah, roll a d2.
Jorge:Yeah, D2.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:If it's a 2, you get a 12 on the die instead.
Josh:Nice.
Tanner:Let's go.
Noah:It's a 2.
Noah:Wow, I cannot read that at all.
Noah:Okay, so it's a 12 instead.
Jorge:I think I just gave him the two side and I got the one side.
Jorge:I think that was the problem.
Noah:We split all the 12s in half.
Josh:Yeah, sure.
Noah:I get it.
Noah:I get more like ones.
Josh:So...
Josh:plus an additional nine, right?
Noah:So it'd be... Woohoo!
Josh:So 43, which does it.
Noah:65 points of damage.
Josh:That's crazy.
Noah:I just walk up to this thing, like, jogging by.
Josh:That's enough to straight up kill it.
Jorge:LES.
Noah:As we go by, I pat Henrik on the shoulder and go, hi, Kharkov.
Noah:And then I just kind of, like,
Tanner:I take offense to that.
Noah:and I look around, and then I just punch its head off.
Josh:Absolutely.
Noah:Absolutely.
Josh:You punch its head off and it collapses to the ground.
Noah:Yeah, I'll turn around and try and blast the spool out of the air.
Josh:Great.
Josh:Anything else?
Noah:Wait, actually, how far away is the spool?
Josh:Sure.
Noah:I'm going to be able to hit it.
Josh:We'll use the dragon's body as the spool.
Tanner:you
Noah:Oh, I can just hit it.
Noah:Attempt to attack again with map.
Josh:Okay, go for it.
Noah:Wait.
Josh:A 31 does not hit, unfortunately.
Noah:Alright, that's my turn.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:I'm going to do that.
Josh:It's Lev's turn.
Josh:You got anything to do?
Jorge:I'm going to pat Henrik on the side and give him a two-action heal.
Tanner:You jumped to Henrik, Josh.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:What?
Tanner:You jumped to Henrik in the order.
Josh:I would never do that.
Tanner:Oh.
Josh:How dare you.
Noah:There you go.
Tanner:Oh.
Mike:Hey, car cops.
Josh:You guys have met a total of two blue people.
Noah:I could heal.
Josh:And so, you know, racism comes out sometimes.
Josh:That's fair.
Jorge:You can apply that healing.
Josh:That's crazy.
Tanner:Holy.
Jorge:It's a 9th level heal.
Jorge:And Josh, do you have... So, I don't have the cancel healing thing.
Jorge:I have the ice cantrip now.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:I thought I had both.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:Can I, in the future, if I can't have both, just have the... I know today I'll have the ice thing.
Jorge:In the future, can I have the cancel healing thing?
Josh:Sure.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:Do you know what the hit to that is?
Josh:It's an attack roll.
Josh:So that would be for you plus 29.
Jorge:What type of damage?
Noah:All right.
Josh:Yes.
Jorge:How much damage does it do?
Josh:What level spells can you cast?
Jorge:Nine.
Josh:So 9d6.
Jorge:Plus four.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:Thirty-one.
Josh:You hit it.
Josh:Unfortunately, that doesn't hit a threshold or anything like that, but you guys are doing a bunch of damage.
Jorge:35 doesn't.
Jorge:Damn it.
Jorge:All right.
Noah:I mean, I think I'm doing a hard word.
Jorge:Wait a second, actually.
Jorge:I just want to see if the quick end with my sword applies only to sword strikes.
Josh:Yes.
Josh:What do you mean?
Jorge:OK.
Josh:It's a rune on your sword.
Josh:It's for attacks with your sword.
Jorge:Yeah, but I'm holding it.
Jorge:I'm holding it.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:I don't know if it just makes me all.
Jorge:OK.
Jorge:It should have been called lighter or something like that.
Jorge:Swift makes more sense.
Josh:What is the name of it?
Josh:Now you're making me... What is the rune?
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:No, no.
Jorge:I think it might have been changed to Swift, but it used to be called Quicken.
Josh:I don't think either of those are true.
Jorge:Maybe it's called Quick.
Josh:One second.
Jorge:It's QuickStrike, QuickStrike.
Josh:Quick strike.
Josh:The quick strike.
Josh:Attacks with a quick strike weapon are supernaturally swift.
Josh:You gain the quick into action, but you can use the additional action only to make a strike with the etched weapon.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Which makes sense.
Josh:Kord stretches out onto the three Oreskians scattered around the room.
Jorge:All right, that's my turn.
Josh:One does not go to the dragon, because it was not added in before, given that it didn't exist until 40 seconds ago.
Jorge:Does it take damage?
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:Yes, and Eleven actually does get it fully.
Josh:You hit the last threshold.
Josh:It collapses.
Tanner:Oh, all right.
Josh:and it lands right on top of where that elder worm right there is.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:And you find yourselves now standing in the changed strange weird room that you had walked in before, before your interaction with Rampart.
Noah:I have one last question.
Noah:I really want to get this terminal, but if it's going to be a nat 20.
Noah:Now that he's dead, but his brain is intact, can I reach into his head and try and get it?
Noah:Or do you think it's like above?
Josh:No, he's dead.
Josh:It's gone.
Noah:Dang.
Noah:Bummer.
Josh:I apologize.
Josh:If you wanted it, you needed to get it from him while he was still alive.
Noah:Bummer.
Noah:Okay.
Noah:We got to put Hallie and Tenno back in his orb.
Noah:Sorry, you were describing stuff.
Jorge:Try to get all the orbs out.
Jorge:Try putting all of them in the orb, actually.
Mike:Is there a place to dock the orb?
Mike:I don't... Uh, no idea.
Josh:You guys can roll a perception check now that you're in this room to actually look around if you like.
Josh:And while you do that, yes, you can also roll a perception check for that.
Jorge:Can someone also loot?
Josh:I will step away and be back in a moment.
Jorge:How many rounds does that fight?
Jorge:Five?
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:Seven.
Jorge:Can you battle medicine me, Henrik?
Tanner:I privately rolled like a moron.
Mike:Not so funny, though, is it?
Mike:Just open a private e-roll and just hold gang time.
Jorge:Or does it have to be in a fight?
Jorge:Oh, he stepped aside.
Noah:I guess I will also hear about.
Mike:Yeah.
Jorge:All right, I guess I'll go step aside as well.
Mike:I'll be here.
Tanner:Everybody's gone.
Tanner:Mike sits in silence.
Mike:It's not silence.
Mike:There's plenty of voices in my head.
Tanner:That's fair.
Josh:Sorry, are we talking to Mike in his head?
Tanner:Uh, somebody is.
Josh:Well, that's fun.
Tanner:Um... I...
Tanner:can take single actions to try to shake the sickened condition?
Josh:Yes.
Jorge:Can you battle medicine me?
Jorge:Or does it have to be regular medicine since we're out of combat?
Tanner:Uh, I don't know, but it only takes 10 minutes and it's something I would like to do anyway.
Josh:Tanner, did you roll the secret perception check on purpose?
Tanner:No.
Tanner:That was to perceive the room.
Josh:Oh, okay.
Josh:I have unsecreted it.
Tanner:Thank you.
Josh:That's how you say that.
Noah:Oh, I got, I don't know.
Tanner:I think I failed against the second.
Noah:I got a crit 45 to see the room.
Josh:Okay, so you can spend a minute to just force yourself to wrench, and that will get rid of the second condition as well.
Josh:It's just not feasible to do in combat.
Josh:Okay, so what did we get for whatever we were doing?
Noah:Crit 45 to see the room.
Josh:Nice.
Mike:It had 36 to look for an orb port.
Josh:Okay, absolutely.
Josh:So... What was that for?
Jorge:We don't need to talk about labs.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Looking around the room, looking for an orb port, and so on and so forth.
Josh:I guess things of import in this room.
Josh:You had seen the weird archway thing that they were working on when you guys walked into the room.
Josh:There is one on the other side.
Josh:It is mirrored.
Josh:I think you'd probably have to spend more time with them to know where they were going.
Josh:You know that they're interplanar in some fashion, but I don't know to what end.
Josh:other things in the room of interest.
Josh:Not a lot.
Josh:It seems that here, like in most of the facility, any of the machinery, so to speak, is hidden in the walls, or...
Josh:somewhere else.
Josh:There aren't a bunch of loose wires hanging out or anything like that.
Josh:Although I will say that there is an obvious spot underneath each of the three tanks that you see.
Josh:Two of them have silhouettes in them.
Josh:There is an indent that is familiar to you because you've seen it in each of the bits of the trip that you have walked into that you figure you can slot an orbit into.
Josh:So there's an interface there that looks like it's useful.
Josh:Beyond that, there is another doorway on the other end of this room that leads further into this area underneath where the vats are, the three silhouettes.
Jorge:Can we loot their bodies before we start putting people in orbs?
Mike:I guess.
Noah:Loot the bodies.
Mike:Sure.
Noah:All three.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:No real perception role necessary here.
Josh:There is something that I imagine you would have expected to find on each of their bodies.
Josh:They do each have an ID card.
Josh:The two people who are hanging out down here with Rampart...
Josh:where Violet level and Rampart, Victor Kozlovsky is an ultra-Violet level member of the first house.
Josh:So this keycard will get you into the other bit of this facility here on this floor.
Josh:Beyond that...
Josh:They didn't have magic items on them.
Josh:Some of them had magic items in them, in that there's clearly some kind of augmentation that's been going on with the bodies of the Fateweaver and the Blushsinger.
Josh:Nothing that looks immediately obvious to you is like, you can just take this out and wave it around and it's a magic item now.
Josh:It's more like these are very concerted efforts to enhance specific people.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:And...
Josh:Victor's weird.
Josh:Rifling around his body, his body has not cooled down after passing away.
Josh:It is still emanating waves and waves of heat.
Josh:Searching his body is actually quite uncomfortable.
Josh:You all have protection against cold and heat, so you're fine.
Josh:But staying near him for any extended period of time would be unpleasant.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:Do we think further cutting him up would cause him to explode?
Josh:If you like.
Tanner:Well, can I make some kind of, can I make a medicine check on him to see what I can gather medically?
Jorge:I would like animantime so I can turn my sword into a victor animantime steel sword.
Noah:What's your short?
Noah:Do you have a name for your short?
Noah:Victor.
Noah:Why?
Noah:It's made out of Victor.
Mike:Bye.
Tanner:Yeah, 52.
Josh:Nice.
Josh:Okay, so it's very much like autopsy from a distance a little bit here, where you kind of have to stand a little bit away just to not get scorched by your proximity.
Josh:But you can start to kind of perform an autopsy, effectively.
Josh:All of his bones have been replaced.
Josh:Replaced isn't the right term.
Josh:It's...
Josh:Ship of Theseus style, using magic to swap out his bones for adamantine metal rods in the same shape that his bones used to be.
Josh:His skeleton... He's Wolverine.
Tanner:He's Wolverine.
Josh:Yes, his skeleton is entirely adamantine.
Josh:And the thing that's producing the heat is actually mildly familiar.
Josh:There is, where his heart should be, some kind of...
Josh:magic engine that seems to be acting kind of similarly to your hearts, except perhaps in a slightly more artificial way.
Josh:In that you feel the same kind of divine, not quite same wavelength vibe you get off of it that you do off of your own hearts.
Josh:It seems that this was along some branch of experimentation to replicate the kind of heart implantation that you guys ended up doing earlier.
Jorge:Can we take it?
Josh:It is very hot.
Jorge:Oh, never mind.
Josh:Like, in theory, yes, but it'll melt whatever you put next to it, unless you encase it in adamantine.
Jorge:I'll just try to take some bones with it.
Jorge:Some bones?
Jorge:Is that possible, to make a sword?
Josh:Yeah, you can take some bones.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:One second.
Josh:One moment.
Tanner:You did rip off his arm.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Right, yeah, so one of the arms just ceased to exist.
Josh:But if you were to harvest the rest of his skeleton, you would get the equivalent of three adamantine ingots out of it.
Jorge:Well, they're working on that.
Noah:We got to save these two K that I've never met before.
Noah:Yeah.
Mike:Any focus physical?
Tanner:Yeah.
Jorge:Can you start healing us?
Jorge:Because I'm scared we're going to get jumped.
Tanner:Yeah, I'll take ten minutes to treat wounds.
Noah:Refocus and stuff.
Noah:I can use some hit points.
Tanner:I can treat everybody with one, so... Let's just do it.
Noah:Thank you.
Tanner:I critically failed.
Josh:Nice.
Jorge:Airport.
Tanner:Wait.
Tanner:Yeah.
Josh:Does that mean that the person that you were healing dies instantly?
Tanner:No, it means we take damage, but probably I'm just going to hero point it.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:Because I've got two, and we want health, so... I'll use a hero point.
Josh:Okay, you get to add an additional two.
Tanner:I'm legendary, so... Yeah.
Tanner:Plus two.
Noah:Nice.
Tanner:Oh, I didn't... I didn't do it.
Jorge:What?
Jorge:That was DC 40, though, right?
Jorge:Or no?
Tanner:It was DC40, I just didn't do it from the thing.
Tanner:So it's 4d8 plus, I want to say... 65?
Josh:I mean, just roll it again and give yourself like a plus 40 untyped bonus so that it crits.
Tanner:Okay, okay, okay.
Jorge:Like I said, just give yourself a plus 40 as if he doesn't already have a 38.
Josh:Yeah, like just double the bonus you have.
Tanner:Alright, we'll take 84 points of healing.
Jorge:I had carry over.
Tanner:Oh, how many?
Jorge:Let me do the math.
Mike:I mean, I also had a lot of carryover.
Mike:61.
Noah:I am back to full.
Tanner:Hmm, yours is probably more Divex, right?
Mike:Oh, wait a minute.
Jorge:I had 75 carry over.
Tanner:Oh, wow.
Tanner:All right.
Jorge:Oh, wait, no, no, not 75.
Jorge:I have nine carryover.
Jorge:I forgot to then subtract that from the 84.
Josh:Thanks.
Tanner:All right, so what was it, Dyvex?
Tanner:60-something?
Mike:61.
Tanner:All right, that goes to Dawn.
Noah:I was 13 short.
Noah:I'm going to jog over and save Hallie and Tenno.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:It is funny that only two of you here have met Hallie and Tenno in any capacity.
Noah:I'll pull up the oil now that I've been healed and I'll say SUNDOM TECH just jam it into
Josh:But...
Tanner:Yikes.
Josh:Okay, the broker looks up for a second.
Josh:You place it down.
Josh:So there are three vats here.
Josh:Which one are you doing?
Josh:There's an empty one in the middle.
Josh:The left one has slight red glow and the right one is like blue glow.
Josh:Absolutely.
Noah:Let's start with the one in the middle.
Noah:Just for funsies.
Josh:This is the empty orb, right?
Noah:Yeah.
Josh:Okay, nothing happens.
Noah:Okay.
Noah:Good.
Noah:We don't have Schism on us, do we?
Noah:Not Schism.
Noah:The other one?
Josh:You have Schism, you don't have SeRaan.
Noah:Would Schism fit into this hole?
Josh:Yeah, he's about the same size.
Tanner:We want... This is Hallie's house.
Mike:I don't... I don't think... This is like pulling... Like pulling a Pokemon out of its Pokeball in like thunder and lightning.
Tanner:I mean... Oh, fascinating.
Noah:No, I think the empty tube would extract Schism and put him in this... I'll do the red one.
Jorge:I'm holding schism.
Jorge:I'm like, no.
Tanner:Yeah, we don't need to do that.
Jorge:Absolutely not.
Mike:What the fuck, dude?
Josh:Okay, absolutely.
Mike:I was just chilling.
Tanner:Alright, alright, do the red one, do the red one.
Josh:You press the orb up to the vat with the red glow on it.
Josh:There is a faint sucking sound as you watch as they get pulled downward and almost shrink at the same time.
Josh:And the orb itself, it's a very faint red glow.
Jorge:Hello.
Noah:Nice.
Noah:I'll run over and do the blue one.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:Same deal.
Josh:This time the red glow fades a little bit, the blue glow pops up, and then that fades into the red one.
Josh:It's like blinking, oscillating between the two colors.
Noah:Are there any loose orbs in here anywhere?
Josh:Not that you guys saw.
Tanner:Hello?
Mike:Friends?
Tanner:Hello?
Noah:Hello?
Jorge:I believe you are Harry and Tenno?
Jorge:We are friends.
Noah:Hello?
Jorge:We've come to rescue you.
Noah:Hello?
Josh:There's a brief pause, and then you hear...
Josh:Oh joy, meatbags come to rescue us.
Tanner:Halle!
Jorge:Welcome home.
Noah:Nice to meet you.
Josh:Uh, the, the, um, the orc will change colors to light blue and you'll hear, Nice to meet all of you as well!
Jorge:You've met two of us before, I just...
Jorge:You probably forget.
Jorge:We could catch you up later once we get out of this research facility.
Josh:Okay, sure, we're along for the ride.
Josh:Allie will say,
Josh:You all look and sound very similar to the people who put us in those tubes.
Tanner:Yeah, we knew you before they had you.
Noah:Funny story.
Noah:We're technically all terrorists when the organization that put you in the tubes is talking.
Josh:Cool.
Noah:You don't know what a slip drive is?
Josh:Meat blowing up other meat.
Jorge:Yes, I think our groups helped with your slip drive or something before.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:I don't know what that is, but sure.
Josh:No.
Noah:Oh, fuck.
Tanner:yeah because the library is or the you know all right
Noah:Are there any other sockets anywhere in here?
Jorge:Your knowledge base is decayed.
Jorge:Anyway, we can help you out to figure this out later.
Josh:Yeah, connect me up to a radar and I can rebuild that.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:In this room, no.
Noah:Okay.
Mike:Do either of you know where Tenno's house is?
Mike:Is it here?
Mike:Uh...
Josh:Tenna, the bulb will light up blue again and Tenna will say, I would guess so.
Josh:I haven't seen one recently.
Tanner:I think that Kharkov will have it.
Noah:Oh, they're sort of our new friend.
Noah:They're sort of like you, but a computer.
Josh:That's honestly, I expected you to call me a computer too, so I actually just appreciate that you've made the distinction.
Noah:Now you're a cave.
Josh:Hot.
Josh:Yeah, but, you know, plenty of people think Kade the Heart computers.
Noah:Ignorant.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:was false.
Josh:I like this guy.
Josh:This one's fun.
Tanner:What can you tell us of your recent experiences?
Josh:The bulb will turn red again and say, Okay, so you got us out of the vats.
Noah:Where were the coordinates from and to?
Josh:What next?
Josh:So we've been spending the past N hours plotting coordinates.
Josh:So I can tell you a lot about coordinates.
Josh:Origin was here.
Josh:Output was close to the core.
Tanner:That's interesting.
Josh:Yeah, slightly off.
Josh:Not quite like dead center, but around there.
Tanner:I point both my arms to the two gates and say, do you feel like you were connected to these things?
Josh:That's what the coordinates were for, yeah.
Noah:with the gate.
Mike:Uh.
Tanner:To the core.
Tanner:That's crazy.
Noah:I mean, if this devil's...
Jorge:They are going to make it the oh, it's another devil?
Jorge:Maybe.
Jorge:All right.
Tanner:Or maybe they're right.
Tanner:Yeah, I guess probably they were.
Jorge:Oh, the universe, the astra.
Josh:Sorry.
Josh:I don't know if I... Which core do you think I'm talking about?
Josh:That's my fault.
Tanner:the core of this planet.
Josh:I assumed you would get me.
Josh:I meant the core.
Josh:Like, of the universe.
Josh:Yes.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:These meatbags don't understand.
Noah:Wait, so you were trying to go to... Do we know about Old Thessia?
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:You also didn't understand.
Josh:And you're made of meat.
Jorge:No.
Josh:Or mostly made of meat.
Jorge:Yeah, not fully.
Josh:I don't think you guys would, no.
Noah:Man, what's at the core?
Noah:Why would they want to go there?
Noah:Oh, crazy.
Josh:Good question.
Josh:I don't know.
Jorge:Did we not learn about Old Thessian when we learned about the deep?
Jorge:OK.
Josh:You learned about that there was a planet that the Thessians were on.
Josh:You did not learn where it was.
Josh:That is a question that you guys asked in the previous campaign.
Jorge:Gotcha.
Noah:Yeah, how's everyone doing on juice, I guess?
Jorge:All right, so back to the issue at hand.
Jorge:We need to get that artifact, which is in the Violet area.
Jorge:However, if we go into the Violet area, we might run into Kharkov.
Tanner:Yeah, that would not be good.
Jorge:I would prefer to rest, but honestly, I can fight.
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:I just can't heal.
Noah:I can fight.
Noah:I'm just low on tricks.
Mike:Low on juice.
Tanner:I don't have a lot of tricks like that, but I am feeling very drained.
Josh:I do think... I guess... What do you think our answer would be?
Noah:Ali Tenno, you guys have like a stasis capsule that can give us like eight, actually, like eight hours of rest?
Josh:I know we'll say, we could get you out of here.
Noah:I mean, I was really hoping it would be yes, but I feel like it's probably no.
Mike:I mean, we've been in it.
Tanner:All right, let's... No, we should probably stay.
Josh:I don't know if that helps.
Tanner:What do you guys think is through this door?
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:How would you get this out of here?
Josh:You spoke over each other.
Jorge:How would you get this out of here?
Josh:We have two teleporters right here.
Mike:It'd be getting back in that is not easy.
Noah:I think we gotta finish this while we're here.
Jorge:Do you think we rest first?
Noah:What... I think we... I don't... I think if we...
Jorge:Could you get us to a different sphere?
Jorge:How long would that take?
Josh:Depends on how far away.
Josh:Ten minutes to two days, give or take.
Noah:But if we...
Jorge:What about Sigil?
Josh:Sigil?
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:You don't know what Sigil is.
Josh:Do you mean Syrin?
Jorge:Yes, this is it.
Josh:Um, yeah, I can get you to Syrin.
Jorge:Sorry.
Josh:Tenno would say, uh...
Josh:They recently uploaded, I think, what's in up-to-date Star Chart.
Josh:You'd have to give us like 20 minutes or so to get the loop set up, but we could get you to Syrin.
Jorge:I say it's schism.
Jorge:Hey, broker.
Jorge:Crazy idea.
Jorge:Any possible way you could get to Serengrad in, like, 20 minutes?
Josh:The broker will say...
Josh:So, you want me to go to the place that I hired you to go to because it's exceptionally dangerous for me to go.
Noah:We have a back way that doesn't involve getting the gun.
Jorge:Uh...
Noah:You what?
Josh:Yes, but I need the gun to not be injured.
Jorge:Okay, well, this teleporter can technically go to very near the core.
Jorge:So you get here, maybe we can also go to that other place and patch you up.
Josh:I have the cord for that.
Jorge:Oh, yes.
Jorge:Oh, yeah, we got the knight going in.
Jorge:Never mind.
Jorge:All right, fine.
Jorge:Don't come.
Josh:If you... I mean, it doesn't make a difference to me one way or the other if you go to Syrin or if you get the gun first.
Noah:My one worry if we go to Syrin is that we're going to come back and have to fight a Karkov that has been super powered by the deep.
Josh:If you want to go to Syrin and figure that out, then be my guest.
Jorge:We're not going to be able to get to... I don't know how we'd leave Syrin.
Jorge:The goal is we'd get this, fix the broker, broker takes Syrin.
Jorge:I don't know how we'd get back.
Jorge:We'd use the teleporter.
Noah:I think, Hallie, Tenno, you guys don't happen to know if there's anything in this facility that can give you a night's rest in about 10 minutes?
Josh:Roll a d100.
Josh:You're aiming for, before you roll, you want to get something with a 7 in the tens digit or a 12.
Jorge:Can you use a hero point?
Josh:No.
Jorge:No.
Noah:I'm out of earphones anyway.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:You have an 11% chance, Noah.
Jorge:No.
Josh:Unfortunately.
Noah:Bummer.
Tanner:All right, all right, all right.
Tanner:Listen, listen.
Tanner:We went this direction, which was labeled beacon maintenance and main storage.
Josh:So, yeah, so Hallie will say, this is main storage.
Tanner:What do we think this room is?
Tanner:Beacon maintenance?
Jorge:Yes.
Tanner:So then if we continue going, we'll probably get to main storage.
Tanner:Who knows what's going to be in there?
Tanner:Could be something that can help.
Jorge:Bro, maybe... Yeah, let's go.
Noah:Next room.
Jorge:Oh.
Jorge:Do they not?
Noah:Oh, so beacon maintenance is... Oh, it was people.
Josh:You blew up the main storage.
Noah:They were storing people.
Josh:Yeah, they're restoring people.
Tanner:Oh.
Noah:I look at love.
Noah:I look at love.
Noah:They're storing people.
Jorge:Meatbags, all right.
Jorge:So...
Noah:I look over at Henrik.
Noah:They're storing people.
Noah:Divex, they're storing people.
Tanner:Yeah.
Tanner:What do we think happened to all the people they were storing?
Mike:Oh.
Noah:I think we just destroyed them.
Josh:Tenno will say, they're all dead now.
Tanner:Well, but they already were kind of dead, right?
Noah:Guys, we're just four rescuing terrorists.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:They were dead and their personality anchors are now dead.
Noah:We're just four rescuing terrorists just doing what we do.
Jorge:We are.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:So all right.
Tanner:So then beacon maintenance is going to be through the door.
Josh:Mm-hmm.
Jorge:Do you want to go to weekend maintenance?
Tanner:I don't even know what that means.
Noah:What about us?
Mike:Yeah.
Jorge:Do we just try to rest in this room?
Jorge:Do we go up some rooms and try to rest?
Jorge:Or what do we do?
Noah:Let's see what's in Beacon Maintenance.
Noah:Maybe that'll change our mind.
Noah:The slips here is like...
Jorge:OK.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:Hopefully there's not another fight.
Josh:I heard you fighting my brother in the next door, but I figured I'd wait to separate it into two encounters.
Josh:No, she's going to be mad when you find out you killed her brother, though.
Josh:Okay, so you walk through the door underneath where the vats were into Beacon Maintenance.
Jorge:I want the record to show I took all... Never mind, I couldn't have done this.
Josh:This...
Jorge:I was going to say I took all of Victor, but it would melt whatever I put it in, right?
Josh:Right.
Josh:The problem is trying to figure out how to contain the heart.
Josh:You could make a box out of adamantine to hold it, because that's what they did with Victor.
Josh:But on short notice, there's just a very, very hot flame just sitting in the floor now.
Josh:Very slowly, I guess, melting its way through the floor, actually.
Josh:It'll hit the core at some point.
Josh:You walk through the door to beacon maintenance.
Josh:Not a particularly large room.
Josh:Perception check if you like.
Josh:There are no enemies that immediately jump out at you and try to murder you.
Mike:Are there polite in this room?
Mike:37.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:Enriques, are you also rolling?
Tanner:Sorry.
Tanner:I would love to.
Tanner:Where's my perception?
Tanner:Public role.
Tanner:36.
Mike:Bested again.
Josh:Yeah, I'm sorry.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:One moment.
Josh:So you go through the...
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:You go through into the maintenance room.
Josh:The maintenance room itself is relatively small, maybe like 20 feet down and 10 feet to a side.
Josh:And it is piled high with spools and spools of that same cord that you had seen threaded up in the area floating above the central teleporter area that you fought Rampart in.
Josh:With a 37, looking around, the thread is still spooled on.
Josh:If anything, this is more of a storage room than it is a maintenance room.
Josh:Nothing really catches your eye here as being useful one way or the other.
Mike:Are the spools not useful?
Josh:So there are spools of thread.
Josh:They're present.
Josh:I don't know if you had anything you planned on doing with them, but they are present.
Noah:On.
Mike:It's like magic thread.
Josh:You know that the thread in some way was storing the consciousness of whoever was connected to it.
Mike:How big are they?
Josh:Each spool is about five feet tall and three-ish feet wide.
Mike:And bulk wise?
Josh:Twenty bulk per.
Mike:Am I willing to give up 2,000 clockwork dials to grab one of these?
Tanner:SIGHS
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:Yeah, I'll grab one.
Josh:The calling card is... Yeah.
Jorge:You know how some master thieves leave a calling card behind?
Jorge:Ivex just leaves thousands of clockwork tiles.
Jorge:All right, so are you resting here?
Jorge:Are we going up some floors and resting?
Jorge:Or what are we doing?
Noah:Are we taking a full night's rest?
Jorge:Do you think we can go and potentially fight Kharkov?
Noah:I don't think we'll have it if we wait eight hours.
Jorge:I know what will happen if we don't wait eight hours.
Mike:It's true.
Tanner:Yeah, I think so.
Tanner:Right.
Mike:We did pull the favor for moving the gun.
Mike:Hold on, let me see exactly what.
Mike:Discern location.
Mike:To target an object, you have to have touched it or a fragment of it.
Mike:Doesn't qualify.
Mike:I think locate might have something similar.
Mike:uh if the target is a specific object you must have observed it directly with your own senses this means even if someone is like projecting the image in my head i doesn't count as me seeing it uh type of object can i picked uh art gun artifacts
Jorge:What about?
Josh:No.
Josh:You can pick gun or you can pick artifact.
Josh:But I think Dimex would be pretty confident that neither of those would necessarily be of a lot of use down here.
Jorge:All right.
Mike:What if I cast it twice?
Jorge:Do you guys think Kharkov can also see through magic?
Tanner:I don't think he has the same skill set as Rampart.
Mike:Probably.
Jorge:Well, it's possible we preset the teleporter with Sneaky or just don Sneaky and just try to steal it.
Noah:I mean, the sneaky trick is just something I can do all day, every day.
Jorge:No conflict.
Mike:How many tricks do you have left for sneakiness?
Noah:I got one teleport and I got two rocket boots.
Noah:I have two rocket boots and one teleport.
Jorge:What do you mean by teleport?
Jorge:Translocate?
Noah:Sorry, translocate.
Jorge:OK.
Noah:I got one translocate in the bag.
Noah:I can quicken myself again for the 10 minute break.
Noah:Yeah.
Mike:Do we have a way of contacting... Who was it?
Mike:Who was the person that said that they could move the gun for us?
Josh:The playwright?
Mike:The playwright.
Mike:Do we have a way of contacting the playwright to ask if it's been done?
Josh:No.
Noah:We can just camp outside of that door or across the way so we can see it.
Jorge:Here's the other thing.
Noah:Or I can try and sneak in.
Jorge:If we rest here, do you think Kharkov would really be coming to this room?
Noah:I don't know.
Jorge:I have no idea what's going to happen with the Deep.
Noah:I just don't know what will happen in eight hours.
Jorge:But I don't know if Kharkov would be willing to leave Ultraviolet.
Mike:I think, yeah, no, I think we'd have to enter.
Noah:You think it's like a safe room or like a panic room, basically?
Jorge:Why would he?
Jorge:I mean, if he knows we killed his friend, and he's worried we killed his friend, does he think he's going to then... I don't know if he would take his chances.
Noah:I mean, I think we do take... We want to preset the...
Jorge:We could preset this teleporter in case he jumps at us.
Jorge:We could just go for it.
Mike:I think we preset the teleport.
Noah:Syrin and then rest with the plan.
Jorge:Oh, I meant to just out of here, but okay.
Jorge:We could try to preset it for Syrin, and then we...
Mike:I wasn't thinking Saren.
Noah:Oh.
Tanner:I don't think Syrin should be the emergency location.
Noah:Oh.
Noah:Never mind, not Syrin.
Jorge:What about if the emergency location is the ultraviolet vault?
Tanner:I would think...
Jorge:He comes in here.
Jorge:We jump into there.
Jorge:And then he goes, oh, my God, where did they go?
Jorge:And he doesn't know.
Jorge:So either he doesn't know or he's like, I know where they went, which is crazy.
Jorge:But then he'll loony tune.
Jorge:Sorry, sorry, sorry.
Jorge:oreskian toons jump into it and then and then we're already down the street we're running we're running and then we take the teleporter up
Tanner:Hallie, can you tell us about how they have magical safeguards on that area of the facility?
Josh:Sure.
Josh:So when you go through into the ultraviolet compound, it branches into three.
Josh:You're looking for the vault, I take it.
Josh:That would be if you had right.
Josh:There is a series of doors.
Josh:The doors are made out of the same kind of concrete that the rest of the compound is made out of, which means it's inherently anti-magic and anti-teleport.
Josh:It's locked, specifically coded to Kharkov.
Josh:You know, standard spirit print, all of that fun stuff.
Josh:So if you wanted to open it with permission, you'd need him to go up and do it.
Jorge:Would you open it otherwise?
Mike:And if the gun was... Well, if the gun was moved from the vault it'd be down... And it's down the other two.
Josh:No, I... If the gun was moved from the vault, then it's not in the vault.
Tanner:There's the resident.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:If you went left...
Josh:sorry uh if you went left you'd get to the residences that's where kharkov natalia and victor all slept victor likely won't be sleeping there anymore so congrats um those it's a it's a small like internal greenhouse biome type area they each have their own houses quaint
Tanner:No, go ahead.
Josh:And then if you go straight forward, I believe right now it just opens up to be a gaping hole in space-time that leads straight to the replica of the city in yellow on Alkine.
Jorge:Oh, why?
Josh:Well, it used to be a door, and it got ripped open.
Tanner:the eschatology division.
Jorge:And he's.
Josh:Yes.
Josh:Eschatology, as in study of doomsday, I believe one of the plans was to siphon somehow power out of the deep.
Josh:And they didn't quite realize that when you open a passage to the deep, it gets a passage back.
Josh:And something caused the deep to freak.
Josh:So it just kind of went down the passageway, and that's why the facility's in lockdown right now.
Noah:Oh, yeah, that's a deep freak.
Jorge:Well, it really wasn't us.
Josh:Oh, congrats.
Josh:That wasn't smart.
Noah:It was the narrative.
Jorge:It was the narrative, but it's fine.
Josh:I don't know who that is, but okay.
Jorge:So do they talk at night or do they just sleep in their different chambers?
Josh:I...
Josh:I only have plans, and I know what happens in this room.
Josh:I don't have, like, camera feeds into every room in the facility.
Josh:I know that they had been in this room together at one point.
Josh:I haven't seen Kharkov here in a few days, but I have seen Victor.
Josh:He was the one that usually managed the stuff.
Noah:Have you seen the slips here?
Josh:Mostly because he wasn't in danger if there was an explosion.
Jorge:Can we start moving the bodies out of this room and then including Victor's?
Josh:No, she works closely with Kharkov.
Noah:Okay.
Noah:Throw them in the closet.
Jorge:And then I'm going to start to disguise myself as Victor.
Jorge:Yeah, we can throw them in the other room.
Josh:You can check them in the management room.
Josh:That's fine.
Jorge:Cool.
Noah:So here's what I'm guessing.
Noah:I bet Kharkov is...
Noah:holed up in there, doomsday prepping to try and avoid the deep.
Noah:Maybe they made a deal with him or something.
Noah:But I bet the slips here is in there too.
Noah:I do think we should try and take a rest in here and be prepared for a fight if they come out and then go in guns blazing.
Mike:Thank you.
Jorge:Cool.
Jorge:52 to look like our guy.
Josh:Okay, you disguise yourself to look like... Yeah.
Jorge:Victor.
Josh:Can you roll a society check for me, please?
Jorge:I am not trained in that.
Jorge:Do you not want me to roll it then?
Josh:No, I still want you to roll it.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:I have a plus 17 because of untrained improvisation.
Josh:You have a 23 despite not being trained in it?
Mike:Yeah, untrained.
Josh:Untrained vampire, of course.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:I need to ban that.
Josh:I know.
Jorge:That's a complete 180 from everyone gets a Dex campaign.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Yeah, you've disguised yourself as Rampart.
Josh:It's a pretty convincing disguise, too.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:I think we need to make an attempt now to use the gun moved.
Mike:So I think I have...
Mike:And then Divex will swirl his hand and it'll start to light up.
Mike:I have one use of Disappearance.
Mike:An 8th level Shrouding spell.
Mike:I told you guys I was half prepared for a heist.
Mike:So we can use this.
Josh:you
Mike:It grants 10 minutes of the closest we can get besides a 9th rank Disappearance to avoid all detection and just see if the gun is there.
Mike:And if the gun is there, we can make a grab for it, and we can have these teleporters prepped for somewhere else.
Mike:Grab it and run out, and mission accomplished.
Mike:If the gun is not in there, I mean, I'm not going to use that 8th level to get us out of here or to kill anyone, so... To have them go into the ultraviolet area and go into the residences, because...
Jorge:In where, are you saying?
Mike:It has not been that long since we've requested that the gun be moved, and as far as we can tell, unless he took it to the city in yellow, it kind of narrows down exactly where the gun is going to be.
Jorge:We also don't, if I recall correctly, this favor doesn't mean it's immediately moved.
Josh:The way it works is that the playwright can convince through some subtle nudging Kharkov that he needs to move the gun.
Noah:Bye.
Josh:That was all of the information that you were given about the efficacy of the favor.
Jorge:If he knows the person's dead yet.
Josh:Timeline and all of that kind of stuff is more up to however Kharkov interprets it, unfortunately.
Mike:I mean, as far as I can tell, the best hint is that an officer was just killed, and there is a very capable group making their way through here, and maybe the best place for the gun is closer to where he sleeps than a vault that apparently the group that's in here has been proven they have a decent chance of getting through.
Jorge:He doesn't know Rampart's dead, necessarily.
Mike:I would be surprised if they didn't have some sort of health monitor on all the officers.
Josh:Well, Hallie will say, at the very least, he knows that you broke the beacon because he would have had a connection to it and felt that go away.
Jorge:Uh-huh.
Jorge:So Beast Disguise doesn't do anything.
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:OK.
Jorge:I could try lying and whatever.
Jorge:I guess we make hope he can't see Dawn.
Jorge:And we just place on Don.
Jorge:We go on the orb.
Jorge:Don, you take the orb with you.
Noah:Sneak in.
Jorge:But the problem is, if we get into a fight, Don, you just got to run to this teleporter.
Jorge:Can we preset this teleporter?
Jorge:But then we don't get to.
Jorge:All right.
Mike:I think it's the best we got for what an hour
Tanner:Any chance we can wait an hour before we enact our plan?
Noah:Sure.
Tanner:Uh, I can try to treat my drained three condition.
Noah:That's a big drain.
Jorge:I don't.
Jorge:So the reason why I don't think it's needed is because if we get into a fight, I don't think we should be.
Jorge:I think Don should just run.
Jorge:And if Don can't run, people should step out of the orb that can translocate to this room.
Tanner:Hmm.
Tanner:Okay, okay.
Jorge:Can we translocate to this room from other floors, or is every door a blocker?
Josh:You can't go from other floors.
Jorge:No, but on the same floor.
Jorge:So could we?
Josh:Oh, no, no, no, no.
Josh:You cannot translocate through walls in this facility.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:That was a big part of why you needed to break in the normal way.
Jorge:We could down hallways or something, right?
Josh:Yeah, you can go line of sight, all of that stuff.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:You just can't go between rooms.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:So the only reason I don't think you need to do the drained is I don't think it should be coming into play if we don't take a full night's rest.
Jorge:That being said, at the...
Jorge:playwrights like hey the gun's not safe and he interprets it that we're going to go for it then maybe uh us resting doesn't really change that he still thinks we're going to go for the vault and not his residence so if he interprets the playwrights hey the gun's gonna it's not safe there you should move it as we should i should put into my residence and he thinks we just killed reinhardt even if we take eight more hours doesn't mean he's
Mike:Wait, say that again?
Noah:No one has...
Jorge:going to be like, oh, it's probably safe to put back in the vault.
Mike:Yeah, but that feels like a bit more like a gamble.
Josh:Tenor will say, no idea.
Jorge:All right, let's make him disappear and then run for this.
Mike:Are we ready?
Jorge:Will he immediately know once you swipe a card to enter the ultraviolet?
Mike:I imagine so.
Jorge:Can we ask Hallie and Tana if they know that?
Jorge:cool all right can you all right so fall back are we going to sigil are we going to somewhere above on the risk
Josh:Once again, we were doing coordinates for a particular teleport.
Josh:We didn't have access to the whole thing.
Mike:I mean, if we can get out of Oresk entirely, I think...
Josh:They'll say, Hallie will say, I can get you effectively anywhere.
Josh:You need to tell me where.
Josh:It's just one way.
Mike:Yeah, but we gotta stick around and try to get the gun.
Mike:Yeah, I think we should Well, if we sleep, he probably won't put a
Tanner:I mean, we can just go... Well, we wouldn't want to put a... We could just go to, like, the city limits.
Jorge:We can go effectively anywhere, but not in this compound.
Josh:No, I can teleport you somewhere in this compound.
Josh:It's just one way.
Noah:I mean, here's the thing.
Jorge:Fuck.
Jorge:We shouldn't have used the stupid move the gun.
Jorge:We could have just teleported into the fucking vault.
Mike:He'll probably put it back.
Mike:Actually, is Kharkov...
Noah:They still have this vault.
Noah:There's got to be some good stuff in there.
Noah:But also, is Kharkov in the vault?
Noah:I think we don't know what is on the other side of that door.
Jorge:Okay, should we just rest and then just immediately teleport to this fucking vault?
Jorge:Do you think the vault has a safety thing to get out?
Jorge:Or do you think it's, fuck, we're fucked?
Noah:I... Okay, I don't know.
Mike:so uh the concrete is anti-magic would in eighth level or would divex know if an eighth level discern location is able to pierce the concrete
Josh:Absolutely not.
Josh:Divex would know that it would not be able to pierce the concrete.
Jorge:And an eighth level disintegrate, pierce the concrete.
Josh:An 8th level Disintegrate could do damage to the concrete.
Jorge:But we know Rampart's core can melt through it.
Josh:Correct.
Josh:Given enough time, Rampart's core will melt through concrete.
Josh:Through this concrete specifically.
Jorge:So I say we sleep, and then we just take Rampart's body through with us.
Jorge:Worst case, we'll just melt her.
Noah:Wait.
Tanner:Oh, we teleport into the locked vault, which probably doesn't have a handle on the inside.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Yeah.
Noah:This is a really small room and we're just stuck in what is effectively now a microwave.
Jorge:Oh, can you do your thing where you try different parallel universes and then jump through the vault and go, oh, it's safe in there, or oh, it's terrible, and then the rest of us go.
Noah:I can, but not today.
Noah:It's a once per day thing.
Noah:Uh... I... Yep.
Jorge:All right, should we sleep today?
Tanner:So we're setting the teleporter to the vault, and then we're going to sleep.
Jorge:Do you guys think he's going to check on us?
Josh:Bye.
Noah:That's what I heard.
Mike:I don't... I don't think that's a good idea.
Mike:I don't think either of those... I think sleeping... I think we still... I think we disappear someone and check if the gun is in the dorms.
Jorge:What do you guys want to do, guys?
Jorge:We're spending...
Noah:I think that's okay.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:All right.
Tanner:Okay, so then where are we setting our emergency teleport to?
Mike:I think...
Josh:Have a good one.
Jorge:The vault.
Jorge:If it doesn't work, we just run it to the vault.
Mike:And then have Rampart just open all the doors to the vault, and then hopefully we have enough nukes with us in the vault that when he gets to us, we just fucking exterminate him.
Jorge:All right, what do you guys say?
Jorge:Disappear, go in, or?
Mike:I'm not 100% against that, because that sounds fun, but...
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:I think disappear and the emergency teleport is to an area in the city, in Sarengrad.
Mike:In case it doesn't work and we have to come back.
Noah:I kind of think we only get one shot at this.
Mike:After a long rest.
Noah:I don't know what Kharkov is doing, but I think that if we go in there and then have to bamf out, it's not going to... I think we have to rest.
Jorge:Yeah, I don't think we can.
Noah:I think going in there...
Jorge:Do you think he'll send other people that aren't Kharkov to fight us if we stay here?
Mike:don't know if it's
Tanner:They're all in lockdown.
Tanner:They're probably all dead.
Tanner:Yeah, but they were gathering on a floor that we didn't go to.
Noah:Josh, you know how many... We've got to chase him.
Josh:Hallie will say, you did kill most of the people who are still alive in the facility.
Jorge:Fuck it, let's... Okay, rest.
Jorge:If he goes to the city in yellow, guess we're going there.
Noah:But I think chasing him to the city in yellow at full capacity is better than walking into what is essentially his turf at half or less capacity.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:Yeah, the fact that he'll know the door opens is really a challenge.
Jorge:Alright, the rest up.
Noah:Because even if he can sneak around, if the door opens, I think he's smart enough to go.
Tanner:Tanner's playing D&D.
Noah:Someone's in here and either get out or... He just cast Lehman's Tiny Hut.
Mike:Yeah.
Mike:Do I have anything useful for safely sleeping in our arch enemies?
Mike:most sacred research facility so we want razor sharp watch which i guess a bunch of us will be awake uh in the event of someone coming in we just leave so we set the teleporter to somewhere in sarin grad or or where is this teleporter set to while we sleep
Josh:That does make you immortal when you're in it, I'm pretty sure.
Jorge:I vote vault, but I'm crazy.
Tanner:I'm not against the vault, personally.
Jorge:All right, back up this vault.
Noah:And then we'll all use the god-killing weapons on each other.
Jorge:If they come here, we jump to the vault.
Jorge:We hope.
Jorge:We just hope.
Tanner:Well, no, no, wait, now, won't they just follow us?
Mike:Yeah, but there might be god-killing weapons in the vault that we can use on them.
Jorge:I don't know where it is.
Noah:That's the silliest fight of all time.
Noah:Let's do it.
Jorge:Let's do it.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:So rest, then vault.
Mike:Yeah, wait, wait, wait, Tanner.
Jorge:Or rest, then disappear.
Mike:Hold on, because you said it was a good idea.
Mike:I was like, I guess I'm surprised.
Mike:I'm probably going to be outvoted.
Mike:Why did you think the vault was a good idea as a place to run if people come into the room while we're sleeping?
Mike:You didn't think they'd follow us?
Tanner:No, I'm thinking now, like, wait, they're just gonna come right in behind us.
Tanner:So we're not really escaping anywhere.
Jorge:Would they?
Jorge:They won't immediately know where we're going.
Tanner:Won't they just run through the teleporter and be teleported?
Jorge:Why?
Mike:That's a bit foolish.
Jorge:They don't know... We could be going to fucking, like... I don't know.
Jorge:Where the broker is.
Jorge:We could be going to where our... It is an unhinged thing to do to set them... If you're getting jumped in their facility, to set it deeper into the facility.
Jorge:That's fucking crazy.
Jorge:They would need a second to check where it's going.
Jorge:We'd probably be going somewhere safe.
Jorge:That's probably what they think we'd be doing.
Tanner:Yeah, but they read the dossier.
Mike:Also, yeah, but all that said was expect the unexpected.
Mike:It's like the biggest middle finger to anyone trying to plan for us.
Jorge:Thank you.
Mike:So we surprise everyone, even ourselves.
Josh:You guys are the biggest middle finger to anybody trying to plan for you.
Josh:What do you mean?
Josh:Yes.
Mike:No, I like it because, okay, let's say that they have 50% confidence.
Mike:That we're going somewhere that is not dangerous to them.
Mike:So we can assume around half the people that are chasing us are going to chase us through there.
Noah:There's only two people that are going to be chasing us.
Mike:Whatever party we're going to... They're not coming through.
Noah:It's going to be Kharkov and the slips here.
Noah:If anyone comes through, then I don't think anyone's coming through that door.
Noah:I think everyone else is too fucking scared or dead.
Jorge:Okay.
Mike:And... And if one of them comes through, I think we can kill them right now.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:If it's both, we're rolling some dice.
Jorge:Wait, wait, wait.
Jorge:Guys, guys, counter, counter.
Jorge:We long rest in the vault.
Tanner:You want to go right now.
Tanner:This is crazy.
Mike:And then, what, we bang on the wall?
Jorge:We go to the vault.
Jorge:No, no, no, no.
Mike:Oh my god, we could...
Jorge:So if he hasn't taken the gun yet, we take the gun.
Noah:What if the vault's like 5x5 and we get in there and we get in there and they're just all...
Jorge:If he has taken the gun, we just wait for him to put it back.
Jorge:And then if he doesn't put it back after CERN, we'll just melt our way through with Rampart's core.
Tanner:This is so stupid.
Jorge:It's just case to death.
Noah:Josh knows exactly what the layout is, and one of these options is really stupid, and he knows which one it is.
Noah:I think we... Here's my final pitch.
Josh:I'm saying nothing.
Josh:You guys don't have any advanced knowledge, so that's fine.
Noah:We set the thing, the teleporter, for the vault.
Noah:We rest in here.
Noah:If we do have to run, we run to the vault.
Noah:If we don't have to run, we go into the front door tomorrow morning.
Jorge:Or we could just do that right now.
Mike:I also just realized we can set the teleporter to just past the ultraviolet door and thus not trigger the door alert.
Mike:But then you have to open it when you come back, and that sounds very intense to be sprinting away as the door opens and hoping that he doesn't...
Noah:I think if we're going in tomorrow morning, we should go in that way because that gives us a little bit of a jump.
Jorge:And you can go and disappear and look around.
Noah:But then we have to get out.
Jorge:You're right.
Jorge:Let's just rest now or just go into the vault.
Noah:I vote rest.
Mike:It might be better to rest in the vault.
Jorge:I vote vault.
Mike:I think that makes me feel better, is resting in the vault.
Tanner:Ooh.
Jorge:That's what I'm saying.
Mike:And we sort of figure out how to get out once we're in there.
Jorge:That's what I'm saying.
Mike:And maybe someone's going to come check on the vault, maybe.
Tanner:So we're going to the vault right now.
Noah:Wait, wait, okay.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:They have schematics.
Jorge:What does the vault look like?
Jorge:Can we see what it looks like?
Jorge:They said they have schematics in place.
Josh:Yeah, I have schematics of the general layout.
Josh:I don't have schematics specifically of the vault.
Josh:Why would they give that to me?
Josh:I do.
Jorge:Well, from the layout, can you?
Noah:Okay.
Mike:you're trustworthy
Tanner:But you know, it's like
Tanner:You know the shape of it and the size of it.
Josh:Yeah, I know the general shape.
Josh:I do.
Jorge:What is it?
Tanner:Tell us about that.
Josh:It is short.
Josh:It is a 30 foot by 20 foot room.
Josh:It has one entrance.
Noah:Wait, maybe, just to be safe, we have Schism, right?
Josh:Yep.
Noah:What if we send Schism in through there?
Noah:Can he communicate back to us?
Josh:Skizzle will say, I don't know if my magic would work through the concrete, because we'd be in different rooms then.
Mike:is unfortunate.
Noah:So, we go into the vault, we rest in the vault, we find whatever god-killing weapons they have, we bust our way out and just start blasting everything.
Mike:Yeah, and the only issue I can foresee, and Divex will turn to Hallie and Tenno, I understand you guys have been doing a specific role.
Jorge:I vote long rest in the vault.
Jorge:We'll bring Victor's core with us.
Mike:Has there been any chatter of sleeping in the vault?
Mike:or visiting the vault often from the people that run this.
Mike:42.
Josh:Do me a favor.
Noah:you you
Josh:Roll a d20 and add 32, please.
Jorge:Okay, so when we go into this vault, we should go with the orb hidden on Don's person, and Don should be disappeared, just in case we're mid-gun move.
Tanner:Thank you.
Josh:What did you get?
Josh:The ball lights up blue.
Josh:I don't remember them saying anything about that.
Josh:If they did, it was very far out of your shot.
Mike:Okay.
Mike:I do like the belt and suspenders way that Lev suggested as well, where Disappearance, Dawn, all get in the orb, we silently enter the vault through this teleporter, just to make sure that no shenanigans are occurring for the next ten minutes or so, and then Disappearance fades, we all hop out.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:Or Dawn just remains...
Mike:hidden, because he did that in this room earlier.
Mike:Someone that could see through magic and visibility, he couldn't see him, so apparently it's very potent for you to just be hidden.
Noah:Legendary sneak.
Mike:So, let's do that.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:All right, let's do that.
Josh:Don can turn invisible effectively without using magic.
Josh:He's just that good.
Josh:So...
Jorge:Let's do it.
Jorge:Let's fucking send it.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:So the plan is, for me to understand, Hallie and Tenno are going to open up a teleport one way into the interior of the vault in the ultraviolet part of the compound.
Noah:He's rubbing his eyes.
Josh:All of you, except for Dawn, are going to hop into the orb with Hallie and Tenno, because they're in there now.
Josh:And you're going to take Victor's heart with you.
Noah:And Victor's corpse.
Josh:And then...
Josh:Dawn will get disappeared and then also separately stealthed, just in case.
Jorge:as Disappearance on Dawn.
Josh:And with all of you in the orb, we'll walk through the portal into the vault and then figure out what to do from there.
Noah:Yeah.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Great.
Josh:Alrighty.
Josh:So these are all things you can do.
Josh:You do them?
Noah:Yep.
Mike:Yep.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:You get everything set up.
Josh:You all go into the orb.
Josh:You're prepped.
Josh:How are you... How are you planning on transferring the heart that is currently melting a hole in the ground?
Jorge:I thought we were just going to hold the rest of his chest cavity.
Josh:Oh, you're just like holding the whole corpse and you're bringing that with you.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Okay, that's fine.
Josh:I'll allow it.
Josh:So you're using Kharkov as a container for Kharkov's heart, which I guess all people are containers for their hearts, but still.
Josh:You will...
Tanner:Thank you.
Josh:Get into the orb.
Josh:Is that your stealth check?
Noah:That is my stealth check.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:53 crit.
Josh:Dawn erases his presence from existence.
Josh:The only thing that anybody would know that he was present is if they listened closely, they could hear Divex's heartbeat from the orb.
Josh:Um...
Josh:Hallie and Tenno, they can't do it remotely, so they program the coordinates of the teleporter, and then they get into the orb to come with you again.
Josh:The teleporter springs to life.
Josh:You don't get to see the other side of the teleport.
Josh:You have to walk through.
Josh:But you've got everybody in the orb.
Josh:You're holding on to it.
Josh:You walk through the teleporter, and we'll pick up next time.
Jorge:Can you at least tell us what we see?
Jorge:Can you just tell us what we see?
Josh:No!
Mike:Hold on.
Mike:Hold on.
Josh:No!
Mike:Does anyone have a... Does anyone have a bomb on them?
Mike:I realize that the teleporter will remain set on the vault.
Mike:Can we just change... set it... Okay.
Jorge:I don't think that's a problem.
Josh:You're through.
Josh:We've already had this discussion.
Jorge:Also, I don't think it's a problem, because I don't think they'd follow us.
Jorge:And then even if they do follow us, we'll fight them.
Jorge:And then if we don't, what we'll do...
Noah:I'm so sneaked right now.
Mike:Yeah, they're going to go into the vault and it's going to be the Thanksgiving scene from Spider-Man 1 where Peter Parker is on the ceiling and he's got a cut and the fucking Green Goblin is walking around his room and they'll be like, what was that?
Jorge:What we don't do...
Mike:It's just like dawn on the ceiling and then they'll leave because what the fuck?
Mike:I guess they're not here.
Josh:I'm making a note that Don has disappeared with a 53 crit for his stealth, so that we know for next time to pick it up.
Jorge:And he's disappeared.
Josh:You were very hidden.
Noah:I feel like that means that there's someone else in the vault right now.
Josh:I know.
Josh:I'm just, it's for myself, so that I know.
Josh:It's a good time.
Jorge:Yeah.
Noah:If I'd rolled any lower than that, it would not have been good.
Josh:You're very sneaky.
Jorge:I like that role.
Mike:Are we good or are we lucky?
Josh:The disintegrates were crazy.
Mike:I can't believe we killed... It was not looking good last session.
Tanner:At least Rampart's gone.
Jorge:I think this is the best plan.
Mike:Like, we'd be able to kill him within the... Within, I don't know, the heat death of the universe.
Mike:And then...
Jorge:We rolled a lot of tie rolls.
Jorge:This was one of the few times Foundry was a fairly good wingman.
Tanner:Well, I think he was mostly the disintegrate.
Noah:The stacked fear was crazy.
Mike:Combined.
Josh:The disintegrates compared with the fact that he had a minus four to every role he did.
Josh:is ridiculous.
Mike:Did I pick correct when targeting his reflex instead of his fort or will?
Josh:You did.
Josh:With the minus four, his reflex DC was a 35.
Josh:It's crazy.
Josh:His will and his fort were, with the penalty, 41 and 40, respectively.
Jorge:So what was his AC with the penalty?
Josh:With everything stacked on, the lowest he got that fight was 38.
Jorge:OK.
Noah:What was the actual pattern for things that he was immune to?
Jorge:So then the up.
Jorge:Here you go.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Oh, so he was always... When he was... After the first phase, he was not immune to spirit damage the whole time.
Josh:You could hit him with spirit damage.
Josh:And then on top of that, it moved between elemental, mental, and...
Josh:Oh, the third one.
Josh:Like, the third damage type, which is all of the other kinds of damages.
Jorge:Physical?
Josh:Like, bloodied and poisoned and physical and precision and all of that kind of stuff.
Jorge:Not physical.
Jorge:Oh.
Josh:And it just kind of rotated through those three.
Josh:Which, literally, a single recall knowledge would have given you, but nobody did it the whole fight.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:So... Yeah, it... So...
Jorge:How many hit points did he have?
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:They all had a lot of hit points.
Josh:Actually, the two friends did.
Josh:He had 275 hit points.
Josh:And then the dragon had an additional 225.
Josh:The fate weaver had 280.
Josh:You guys burned down the fate weaver and the blushlinger.
Josh:The blushlinger had 210.
Noah:I think it's like crit on the Fate Weaver right out of the gate and took like 100 points of damage.
Josh:The Blush Singer had 210 hit points and regenerated 50 every round if you didn't hit it with void damage.
Josh:And stupid Divex kept desiccating it, and it never got to regenerate the whole fight.
Jorge:Yep.
Mike:I felt bad that I burned so many desiccates because I was like, shit, I don't have fucking... I don't have, like, I can't drain bonded item for 8th.
Noah:Dang.
Mike:And then also the weirds.
Mike:But the weirds did mental damage.
Noah:That was a good fight.
Noah:That was very satisfying.
Josh:I mean, that was also, according to Pathfinder, an extreme fight for four level 20 PCs.
Noah:Josh, if we had stopped by the artifact, would we have had a terminal that we could have used in that fight?
Mike:Okay.
Josh:Not only would you have had a terminal, he would not have had the terminal.
Noah:Interesting.
Tanner:If we had won.
Josh:But there were other things that would have happened if you had taken the time to go to the artifact.
Josh:But there would have been a fight there, first of all, because the Arrestians are at the artifact right now.
Jorge:yeah
Noah:Awesome.
Josh:And beyond that, that would have let the... What's his face?
Josh:Um...
Josh:Why can't I remember?
Josh:The Deep get further into the compound, so it would have been harder fighting down to where you were.
Josh:There were trade-offs, depending on how much time you spent.
Josh:I was making fun of you guys before for being like, oh, we're going to get there in two days, they won't expect us, and then waiting a few extra days on top of that before going in.
Josh:But it worked out in your favor.
Josh:If you had taken longer, then it would have been worse.
Josh:If you had gone in sooner, then it would have been before the Deep had done his raid, and you would have had to get through the whole facility with all of the Oreskians still walking around.
Noah:Nailed it.
Josh:That said, you are now somewhere locked in the most, like, secure part of the facility, unaware of where the people you're trying to fight are or the thing you're trying to retrieve is.
Noah:That is the most un-weft move we could have pulled.
Josh:So...
Noah:Because normally we're like, we got to wait.
Noah:We got to be sure.
Noah:We got to maybe have someone else hit him first.
Noah:Now we're like, surprise!
Mike:But also... But also, it is the most weft move.
Jorge:It's like we got into the walk-in freezer.
Jorge:And we're like, come get it back.
Jorge:Come get it.
Josh:Legitimately I
Mike:We're in somewhere crazy, some shit's hitting the fucking fan, we don't know what the fuck is going on, and we triple down.
Mike:We go, you know what?
Mike:Can we enter the thing that's hard to get out of and inside at the same time?
Mike:And can we fucking sleep there?
Mike:I mean, if Kharkov has a permanent scry, he's like, I'm going to leave.
Mike:I don't know what these maniacs are up to.
Mike:I'm getting out of here.
Jorge:His scry probably wouldn't work.
Jorge:His scry actually... Well, first of all, there's the Nox veil.
Jorge:But also, if he tries, I think the vault would stop him.
Josh:legitimately, I had a bunch of places I thought you might go.
Noah:I thought I was like
Josh:Into the Vault was not one of those places.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:I did not expect you to be like, oh yeah, we can teleport anywhere in the world.
Jorge:Yes.
Jorge:We out-thought him.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:We're going into the Vault that's two doors down from where we currently are.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:It's fucking batshit.
Josh:I have Syrin prepped because I thought it wasn't impossible that you guys would choose to just go there.
Josh:But I did not expect you would go to the Vault.
Josh:It's fine.
Josh:It's whatever.
Noah:We should keep this.
Jorge:The teleporter?
Noah:We could use this for a lot of neat things.
Josh:this being... Oh.
Noah:The teleport.
Noah:We should make sure to grab that.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:It is a whole room in the basement of RC3.
Noah:Well, it's like five bulk, right?
Noah:We can put in Dive into Shadow.
Mike:Yeah, I was going to say, how much bulk is it, Josh?
Josh:You cannot put rooms in your shadow.
Mike:I'm going to have to part ways with 5,000 clockwork.
Noah:But like, how much... This room...
Josh:They don't fit.
Mike:Guys, do we really need this teleporter room?
Josh:You cannot say the room collectively is like 10 pounds.
Jorge:Could you imagine if instead when we met with the Damien heart, we were then like, make a teleporter.
Josh:That's illegal.
Jorge:Bring it.
Jorge:I want to go to the vault.
Jorge:We just immediately go into the fucking vault.
Jorge:And Markov's reading this dossier.
Noah:Cheers.
Jorge:And then we use our playwright thing to be like, oh, I should move that gun.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:What the?
Jorge:Percy tries to scrawl, and he's like, oh, wow, there must be some extremely powerful magic stopping me from scrawling on them.
Jorge:Well, I guess I should move that gun.
Mike:It looks like, based on what I cast and the response I got, they're probably in, I don't know, the most secure place on the entire planet?
Mike:Whatever, I'll go get the... And then he's just like... He unlocks the last door, and as it's creaking open, he has the epiphany.
Mike:He's like, oh, no.
Josh:uh
Mike:And then... We just jump.
Mike:No, even better.
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:Even better, the scene plays out.
Mike:He's just, like, talking to the slipsier in the dorms.
Mike:It's just like...
Mike:Yeah, I couldn't scry on them.
Mike:They have to be in, like, I don't know, the most secure place on, I don't know, this fucking continent.
Mike:You mean, like, a place like The Vault?
Mike:And he's like, yeah, no, exactly.
Mike:Whatever, I'm gonna go check on The Vault.
Jorge:Works.
Mike:Doesn't come back.
Josh:Stop turning my campaign into a sitcom.
Josh:How do we feel about Monday next week?
Tanner:Monday.
Mike:Sure.
Josh:Alrighty.
Josh:That sounds like a plan, then.
Josh:This was a good fight.
Noah:Thanks.
Josh:Congrats.
Josh:You guys did a murder.
Tanner:The Rampart.
Tanner:When we first met him, he fought with a shield?
Tanner:Or am I making that up?
Jorge:I thought he fought with the shield too.
Josh:No, he did have a shield.
Josh:He's had upgrades over the year of the campaign to match level with you guys.
Tanner:Bet.
Jorge:So all right, well.
Josh:I'm not about to make a character where the first time you encounter them is at level 13 and then you're like, you level up 20 times and you get to him and he's still level 13, because that's no fun.
Josh:I mean, you might do that sometimes, but not for a deuteragonist like this.
Josh:You're...
Jorge:Crack and.
Josh:That's a real word.
Mike:What were the cows called?
Noah:Good.
Josh:What?
Mike:We meet one of the cows and you have upgraded all enemies to level 17.
Mike:So, like, the random wildlife now are just... Yeah.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:Romped cows.
Josh:The swamp cows.
Josh:Yeah, as it turns out, the way that we do it is like Skyrim, where everybody is your level wherever you go, regardless.
Mike:To be fair, they have it capped for specific things.
Josh:So...
Josh:I guess it actually is like Skyrim, then.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:In that, like, different areas do have different levels, and it kind of matches your level, but up to a certain point.
Josh:This is Endgame, though.
Josh:You're in, I don't know, where do you fight Alduin?
Josh:Sovngarde?
Josh:That's where you are.
Josh:Either way.
Josh:See y'all next week.
Jorge:See ya.
Noah:you
Mike:Yeah.
Tanner:Goodnight, everybody.
Jorge:Good night.
