Jorge:Hello.
Mike:Hello.
Jorge:I was late today because I was holding baby.
Mike:Of course.
Mike:A very good reason to be late.
Jorge:Yes, Bailey's sister and husband are over and they brought Maisie, her daughter.
Mike:It appears that everyone else is late as well.
Jorge:There's heathens.
Mike:That would be funny.
Jorge:Have you thought about using a custom Discord voice for your character?
Mike:It would be funny if I could do like a soundboard.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Well, you can.
Jorge:You can get voices there.
Mike:I know I can get it.
Mike:I just think it'd be funny if I have 30 pre-written things.
Mike:My character cannot say anything but the 30 pre-written things.
Mike:Like Bumblebee from Transformers.
Jorge:Well, just don't pick an annoying voice.
Mike:But no, I'm trying to figure out how to not be annoying with the voices in the next campaign.
Jorge:Just pick a British accent or something.
Mike:I could do that.
Jorge:British, Russian, Italian.
Jorge:You just gotta pick a real voice.
Jorge:Just don't do like...
Jorge:Hello?
Tanner:Hello.
Tanner:How's it going?
Jorge:Your voice sounds extra crisp today.
Mike:This is very crisp.
Tanner:I'm wearing a headset, and I'm on my PC because my laptop is Chrome keeps crashing.
Mike:Keeps crashing all night long.
Jorge:Oh.
Josh:Oh, unfortunate.
Jorge:Oh.
Tanner:So Jorge, if you could put in a hotfix or something, that would be good.
Jorge:I actually know people from Chrome now.
Noah:Thank you.
Tanner:Oh, you've got some ins for me.
Josh:Not for much longer.
Josh:They're getting rid of them.
Mike:And then Marc Andreessen will win.
Josh:Listen, we're all going to go back to using Netscape.
Josh:It'll be a good time.
Josh:What?
Mike:Marc Andreessen will win.
Josh:I feel like I should know who that is, but I unfortunately don't.
Mike:He's the egg-shaped VC guy that people make fun of.
Josh:That doesn't narrow it down.
Josh:You could be talking about Eggman.
Mike:Google.
Mike:Google egg-shaped VC, and I'm willing to bet Marc Andreessen comes up.
Tanner:don't understand.
Josh:Oh, yeah, I get it.
Josh:I see it.
Josh:I've never seen this man before, but I do understand the comparison.
Mike:Mm-hmm.
Mike:He's the founder of Netscape.
Josh:Good for him.
Mike:Their co-founder, I guess.
Mike:He's part of the Thiel crowd.
Mike:You'd think.
Jorge:I can't wait for them to sell Chrome to either Microsoft or OpenAI.
Jorge:Same thing.
Josh:Surely they can't sell it to Microsoft, because then Microsoft would fall under the same restrictions as Google?
Jorge:And then watch.
Jorge:You'd think.
Josh:I would think that.
Jorge:But also, who could buy Chrome?
Mike:Who would stop them?
Jorge:Yeah, who's going to stop them also?
Jorge:But aside from that, who... Sell it.
Josh:Are they being required to sell it to another company, or are they required to spin it off?
Jorge:Also, if they spit it off, if they spit it off, what do you think is going to pay for it?
Josh:Are they required to sell it?
Josh:I assume rampant in-shitification of the program vis-a-vis like applications, sorry, ads and stuff put in like browsing windows.
Mike:Google will pay for it.
Jorge:It's...
Jorge:Like it's just, it's still like browsers don't make money.
Jorge:It's why Google has to pay Firefox a billion dollars plus a year.
Mike:Yeah.
Jorge:The only, there's only a handful of companies that could actually take Chrome and it's not going to be Apple cause they have Safari and no, but also edge represents.
Josh:Well, then it also wouldn't be Microsoft because they have Edge.
Josh:I know Edge is Chrome, but still.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:It's Chrome.
Jorge:So it doesn't really matter.
Jorge:It also doesn't... There are going to be so many violations of data privacy.
Jorge:It's going to be so funny if they have to get rid of it.
Jorge:There's possible national security risks.
Tanner:Thank you.
Jorge:There's going to be so many lawsuits with the EU because then all the EU data is going to be gone.
Jorge:Advertisers are going to take over.
Jorge:It's going to be a mess.
Jorge:It's going to be really funny.
Josh:That's fair.
Mike:They should just sell it to ByteDance.
Noah:you
Jorge:Yeah, yeah.
Jorge:They can sell it to Oracle, I guess.
Josh:Oracle famously does very well with every product that they have.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Oracle Database is the only database I trust.
Mike:Hmm.
Mike:IBM.
Josh:And Java's installed on 3 billion devices worldwide.
Jorge:I love how people love to complain that the US doesn't make stuff, and then they're like, let's just attack all of our tech companies.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:I mean, they are separate concerns.
Mike:Fun fact, the U.S.
Josh:Like, those are different things.
Jorge:Not really.
Mike:The U.S.
Jorge:They're a large employer of people in the US.
Jorge:What were you going to say?
Mike:The U.S.
Mike:does make stuff.
Jorge:Like, just tech companies.
Tanner:Hmm.
Jorge:Oh, yeah.
Josh:Yet, name one thing the U.S.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:makes.
Jorge:That's not tech?
Mike:Ethane.
Josh:No, we don't do that.
Mike:We do.
Jorge:We do from corn.
Josh:No, we don't.
Mike:This is a crazy thing.
Jorge:We make a lot of oil, too.
Josh:No, we don't.
Mike:There's so much news.
Josh:We only used to make cars, and now we don't do that.
Mike:There's so much...
Mike:There's so much news that doesn't get covered by mainstream media.
Noah:Thank you.
Mike:No.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:You know how we have a big carve-out in our Chinese tariffs for tech, like semiconductors and shit, chips, devices?
Josh:For now.
Mike:China also has a carve-out for a large portion of the products because they can't manufacture plastic without ethane.
Mike:And the U.S.
Mike:is like the largest producer of ethane in the world.
Mike:So they have a bunch of carve-outs for random shit that the U.S.
Mike:makes that are mostly petroleum products, I imagine.
Mike:But we make stuff.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:Just not things.
Jorge:We also export a lot of corn and syrups and lubricants.
Mike:It's also true.
Josh:It's almost as if a global economy is a good thing, because not everybody has everything in one location.
Mike:Well, I think... Are you trying to, like, be pro... What is it?
Tanner:Josh is...
Mike:Comparative advantage?
Josh:No, I'm actually pro-one world government.
Josh:I don't know if you've noticed, I'm Jewish.
Mike:What's the... That's why Josh is trying to...
Josh:So that's kind of what's been going on this whole time.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:We have meetings every Saturday.
Noah:Oh no!
Josh:Good time.
Mike:This is why Josh is trying to kill us with the 13th realm.
Mike:He's like, you guys are trying to take out the only one world government that exists on all things.
Mike:He's like, fucking throw the moony.
Josh:Listen, I had the space laser.
Josh:You guys took away the power source for the space laser.
Mike:It's true.
Mike:We killed Josh's space laser.
Mike:He can start throwing realms at us.
Mike:The realms that he uses to control the weather.
Josh:Yes, exactly.
Josh:This whole time, you guys have been falling into my trap.
Tanner:We're going to destroy it again.
Josh:It's fine.
Noah:then bring back the space
Josh:Next campaign will bring back the Space Laser.
Josh:Space Laser 2.
Josh:This time it only aims for red houses.
Mike:I'm surprised you know various conspiracies, but you didn't know who Marc Andreessen was or all the other weird internet shit I say.
Mike:You know the Blue Roof conspiracy?
Josh:That happens.
Mike:I'm getting suspicious, Josh.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:Also, I want to update a conversation I've had with Josh.
Josh:I'm sorry, I can't tell you anymore.
Jorge:I've seen some more videos of gorillas.
Jorge:We could 100% take one.
Jorge:I think it'll take 30 to 40 people.
Noah:Okay.
Mike:That was my estimate too.
Jorge:If they're bloodlusted, 100%.
Noah:I mean, it's 400 pounds.
Jorge:100% we can take them.
Jorge:A gorilla's gonna get gassed after 10, and then it'll take another 20 to 30 to kill it, and then it'll be fine.
Josh:It's a stamina thing again, is what you're saying.
Jorge:Yeah, but also, I really... Originally, I saw some other videos that made them seem way bigger.
Jorge:They're only like 400 pounds.
Jorge:We could definitely do that.
Noah:It's 400 pounds of pure muscle.
Jorge:Yeah, but it's all fast twitch muscles.
Jorge:They get gassed so quickly.
Josh:How quickly, so quickly, and how quickly do they go through people?
Jorge:Well, first of all, they...
Tanner:Well, they only have three actions a turn.
Mike:Not quick enough.
Noah:yeah like they gotta be what a cr2 beast they're they're not that bad
Josh:That's true.
Josh:Like, action economy-wise, it's probably a tough fight, I will say.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:They're CR3!
Mike:Mm-hmm.
Mike:Actually, can we do that?
Mike:Can we do that in one shot?
Mike:100 commoners versus a gorilla?
Jorge:They would smoke them.
Jorge:They would smoke them because of... I... I... Yeah.
Tanner:Yeah, I actually read a post on the Pathfinder 2e subreddit about this.
Tanner:And the humans do pretty well.
Josh:I would imagine.
Jorge:I saw someone on Instagram try to be like, so you guys, the ape would win.
Jorge:So then they used a Giant ape, first of all, which is a CR7.
Jorge:Then they moved it from huge to medium so that humans couldn't flank them enough.
Jorge:And then they didn't account for crits.
Jorge:And then they said it had cleave damage.
Jorge:So I was like, all right, so it kind of wins after all this cheating?
Jorge:No.
Josh:I will say Omega Primatus, which is what a Giant gorilla is in the remaster, because I guess they couldn't call it a Giant gorilla?
Tanner:Yeah.
Noah:Gorilla is not.
Noah:Gorilla is copyrighted.
Josh:Sure.
Jorge:That one was for fun.
Jorge:Making that change.
Josh:That's a level 8.
Josh:That has an AC of 26 versus a commoner whose melee attack with their fist, because we're assuming they don't have weapons, is plus 5.
Josh:So, you know, it's possible for it to crit.
Jorge:They'll crit.
Jorge:Hit.
Josh:But it's not super easy.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:And when you compare the gorilla's plus 21 to hit on its fist attack versus the commoner's 13 AC, every single attack the gorilla will be doing on a commoner is a crit, guaranteed.
Jorge:I think it's going to kill him regardless.
Jorge:I don't even need the crit.
Josh:Actually, you know what?
Josh:Listen, when three or more commoners are adjacent to each other, each commoner gets a plus one circumstance bonus to attack rolls.
Noah:Oh, so 100%
Tanner:Whoa.
Mike:Pack tactics.
Mike:Commoners have pack tactics.
Josh:It's not pack tactics, it's power of the mob.
Josh:It's completely different.
Jorge:Yeah, also, though, like...
Jorge:If it was a chimp that was the size of a gorilla, the chip might have it.
Jorge:But since it's a gorilla, no.
Jorge:I think a bear, though.
Jorge:I think a bear clean sweeps, like a polar bear.
Jorge:I think a polar bear clean sweeps.
Jorge:At least 50 or 60.
Josh:What about a
Josh:What about a polar bear versus a hundred human-sized gorillas?
Mike:We're listening.
Josh:Gorillas?
Josh:Okay.
Noah:Rolls.
Jorge:Well, one of the weird things, so bears have a muscle, I think it's not a muscle, it's an organ, that's similar to the ones that cats and dogs have.
Jorge:So it's like a separate organ that's in between the skin and everything else.
Jorge:That's why you could grab a dog's skin or a cat's skin and you can pull it a little bit more.
Jorge:It's also why they can scratch each other and there might be minor bleeds, but they don't actually die and bleed out.
Jorge:Gorillas don't have this.
Jorge:That's also why they have apps.
Jorge:So there you go.
Josh:You mentioned organs, and that made me think of Warhammer 40k and all of the extra organs.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:For Tanner and Noah, Jorge has been into Warhammer 40k Space Marines, the new game that came out, and we've been brought along for the ride.
Jorge:19.
Josh:And he said offhand...
Tanner:Oh.
Josh:that there are like 20 extra organs inside of the main character to make him super strong or whatever.
Jorge:I'm an idiot.
Josh:So I googled them, and a bunch of them are really dumb.
Josh:There's like second heart, and then there's also third heart, but it's just a second heart.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:And...
Josh:But they call it the other one.
Josh:And then there's also something that just makes it so your ribs turn into just one flat plate of bone.
Josh:But it's an organ.
Tanner:Oh.
Josh:But it makes it so that you don't get ribs anymore.
Josh:Then there's one that makes your spit acidic.
Tanner:Well, then you're extra protected.
Tanner:Mm-hmm.
Josh:some reason.
Tanner:Helpful.
Josh:It's unclear.
Mike:What else would you do?
Josh:There are four different organs related to eating the flesh of things that you've killed.
Jorge:And you wear helmets.
Noah:Cool.
Jorge:Oh, yeah.
Jorge:If they kill something, they could gain information and power from it.
Tanner:Mm-hmm.
Josh:By eating it.
Josh:For some reason.
Tanner:Right.
Tanner:Okay, this is, you've named all things that are useful.
Noah:Fair.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:Josh, what else would you do?
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:And there was a whole charter that started ritualistically eating people, and then they kind of became vampires, but then they found their Primarch.
Jorge:Their Primarch's like, hey, guys, let's not do that.
Josh:They have a special organ put in their tongue so that they could tell if something's poisonous.
Noah:Good luck.
Josh:But then they also have a second stomach that poison things go into.
Josh:I guess in case they eat something, note that it's poisonous, and then swallow it anyway.
Josh:It's good to have redundancies.
Noah:You want to be prepared for any situation.
Jorge:So honestly, Josh, remember when I was talking to you about how there's a lot of lore, but not all of it's that good?
Jorge:I think you just ran into some of it, where it's like, oh, it's cool.
Jorge:And then you look into it, and you're like, maybe the volume is the impressive thing here.
Jorge:I also have to guess that a lot of these organs probably came from, like, there was a scene where someone tried poisoning them, and they're like, ha, ha, ha.
Jorge:I have a tongue that allows me to detect it.
Jorge:And they're like, I know, but the first thing you didn't notice, oh, I have a sucking stomach for it.
Jorge:So you're like, all right.
Josh:It's just... He... He's just... I mean, like...
Jorge:It's like how Superman got a bunch of weird powers in the golden era because they just kept... You know, Superman had a power at one point to make tons of smaller Supermans to do things.
Mike:He could reproduce by budding.
Mike:Kenya, Kenya, Kenya.
Noah:Yeah, being gay very popular in the golden age of comics.
Josh:Superman in general was weird in that era of comics.
Josh:There was the, you know, there's pink kryptonite.
Josh:That's my favorite.
Josh:Which is like regular kryptonite.
Josh:Instead of taking away his powers, it makes him gay.
Josh:That's a real thing that showed up in an actual comic.
Mike:Wait, actually?
Jorge:yeah yeah yeah
Mike:I was going to say, was pink lemonade popular, but it appears that just being gay was popular.
Josh:Yes.
Tanner:Oh, I've heard of that.
Mike:Or not, I guess.
Mike:If it's a bad thing.
Josh:It's just something.
Josh:I don't... Sure.
Mike:That's so funny.
Mike:Ah!
Mike:No!
Mike:Superman, no!
Mike:I'm becoming... No!
Mike:They've got him.
Jorge:There's gold kryptonite that if he gets cut by it, he just loses his powers permanently.
Noah:Oh.
Tanner:Whoa.
Noah:Carrying.
Josh:I get it.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:It's kind of like the golden needle.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Oh, that's where Josh got it from.
Jorge:Thief.
Josh:That is where I got it from.
Josh:I'm a huge fan of like... Yeah, I just... I really like the bad parts of the original Superman run.
Tanner:I knew that most of our lore was based on Superman.
Josh:I don't like any of the golden era stuff.
Josh:Just like when they had already been writing it for 30 years and they had well run out of ideas and they just kept writing stuff anyway.
Tanner:Mm hmm.
Josh:That's my jam.
Jorge:So black Kryptonite, if it touches a Kryptonian, it causes them to split into two separate beings, a good one and a bad one.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:Standard yin-yang kryptonite.
Jorge:Yeah, you get it by just heating up normal Kryptonite really hot.
Josh:I get it.
Jorge:What's also funny is in most of the comics, Kryptonite doesn't really affect Superman that much.
Jorge:You need a lot, lot of it.
Jorge:And also the original reason it was used was because Superman used to be a radio show.
Jorge:And they ran it for years straight.
Jorge:And it's like every day because fucking there's nothing else going on back then.
Jorge:And the dude like wanted a vacation.
Jorge:So they had to write into the script something that would take Superman out for a little bit.
Jorge:So that's why they had a kryptonite.
Noah:Mm.
Jorge:Just so you get a little vacation.
Jorge:And also people love to quote magic.
Josh:I mean, that's nice.
Jorge:And it doesn't really affect him that much.
Jorge:He's just not immune to it.
Jorge:And everyone's like, he's weak to magic.
Jorge:It's like, not really.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:If he's not immune to it, that makes him weak to it.
Josh:Those are the only two possibilities.
Josh:Actually, the third kind is resistance, if he has resistance to it, because that subtracts some value off the damage you deal.
Josh:Do we want to play some Pathfinder?
Noah:Yeah, let's do it.
Tanner:I am no camera for me today because my laptop is not happy.
Josh:Do you have access to Foundry?
Noah:Oh, no.
Tanner:I do, yes.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:All right.
Josh:That's fine.
Tanner:And I can access Pathbuilder in a view-only fashion, which is good enough.
Josh:Good.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:Have you considered using a different browser on your laptop?
Tanner:No, but...
Josh:Okay.
Josh:No, that's fine.
Josh:I'm not trying to make more things for you to try out.
Josh:Does anybody want to do a recap?
Josh:Sure.
Jorge:I couldn't do it three times in a row.
Noah:We got to the top of the pyramid.
Noah:The Deep was like, allow me to remake you in the image of old Thessia.
Noah:Henrik stabbed him with a needle.
Noah:And then we were fighting The Deep and Kharkov and some madness made flesh.
Noah:But there were some semantic questions about the madness made flesh.
Josh:It was both.
Noah:Oh, Lev achieved...
Noah:Lev achieved the goal of all Pathfinders and got enough statuses to go all the way around the icon.
Josh:That's true.
Josh:I should have increased your size by one step so that couldn't happen.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Noah:Oh, also... Other things that happened...
Josh:Imagine stacking enough to do that to the deep.
Josh:Because he's got way more surface area for stats.
Noah:One of the narrative, Renge, I think, gave Dimex cool staff and Dawn a cool D20.
Noah:Oh, also, you know, because we did turn off power to the Giant Jewish space laser, it is now hurtling towards us and we have like two rounds before that's an issue, maybe less.
Josh:And that is the sponsor of today's session, Jewish Space Lasers.
Noah:This big battle brought to you by Jewish space lasers.
Josh:But... Yeah, no, so last session was basically just a fight.
Tanner:Yeah.
Noah:you you
Josh:So, good recap, you start with two total mythic points, as opposed to all of the other plebs' one.
Josh:So that's fun.
Josh:So, yeah, we are going to...
Josh:re-enter the combat that we left off at the end of last session.
Josh:Everybody is in, I assume.
Josh:Just as a general note, starting from, we're starting at the top of the initiative with Enric, you all get two turns before the 13th Realm does crash into, well, everything.
Josh:So, do as that as you will.
Josh:Also, the other, like, outstanding thing is that Lev is currently engulfed by the Deep.
Josh:And with that, I think we will start at the top of the initiative order with Henrik.
Noah:you
Tanner:I like that you kind of ended that off by giving us some bad news, but then lightened it up with some good news about Lev.
Tanner:That was just a joke.
Josh:Right, yeah.
Jorge:I didn't realize that was good news.
Josh:Lev's kind of evil.
Josh:It's not the worst.
Josh:Also, it wasn't a joke.
Josh:Every session, Tanner messages me personally talking about how much Henrik is trying to plot to kill Lev.
Josh:Every session.
Tanner:So he's inside the deep and a moon is coming.
Tanner:All part of the plan.
Tanner:I guess I'll start by making a strike.
Tanner:Because that feels appropriate.
Jorge:It's so weird that Tanner's voice is so crisp, but this is also the only time I haven't seen him.
Josh:He's behind you!
Jorge:So it's literally just like Dexter narration.
Josh:That's... It's such a shame that that's disadvantage, because that was a crit.
Tanner:Listen, you get one or the other.
Tanner:Either I sound good or I look good.
Noah:All right.
Jorge:It's a disadvantage.
Tanner:Yeah, I saw it.
Josh:That said, 49 is still a hit.
Josh:So... Do your worst.
Tanner:Are we dampened still?
Josh:Um, yes, you should be.
Josh:We also should have, I should have drawn the damp in this.
Tanner:how damp we are.
Josh:What is the, yeah, so that we could tell how damp we are.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:How damp are we?
Josh:Antalurgy is a 20 foot radius.
Josh:Oof.
Josh:20-foot radius.
Josh:I think it was here.
Josh:Does that look correct to you, Jorge?
Josh:Was it up?
Josh:Was it down?
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:I think maybe a little up.
Josh:Like that?
Tanner:I don't know if we see it change until you... Oh, there it is.
Noah:you
Jorge:I didn't see anything.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Like that?
Jorge:Yeah, that looks good.
Jorge:That's good.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:I assumed that you could see me dragging it around.
Josh:I guess you can't.
Josh:Okay, so yes, you are still dampened since I assume Liv hasn't dismissed the spell, right?
Josh:Yes, dismisses an action.
Jorge:Is that an action?
Jorge:Yeah, I did not.
Josh:Okay, so then that is going to be 5, 6, 7, 27, plus 25, because he is vulnerable right now to all damage because you did hit him with a needle, which brings it to 52, which is two points higher than the rupture value.
Tanner:All right.
Noah:Hello.
Josh:And so Lev does get spit out.
Tanner:Okay.
Josh:Well, let's apply the damage first.
Josh:And then let's move Lev out.
Josh:And let's remove all of these many, many, many conditions that you have on you, or some of them.
Josh:You are still restrained, but you are no longer swallowed.
Jorge:Why am I so restrained?
Tanner:So he's like, the tongue comes out too?
Jorge:That was the bad one.
Tanner:Is that kind of... That's nasty.
Josh:If you recall, he grabbed you and then pulled you in.
Josh:When you get knocked back out, the thing that he's grabbing you with comes with.
Josh:That hasn't been removed from you, which is why you were both immobilized and swallowed.
Josh:Those were two separate conditions.
Tanner:That's nasty.
Josh:So you'll still have to work to get out of the immobilized thing, but you are no longer swallowed.
Josh:Sorry.
Tanner:Well, at least you're out here.
Tanner:That's good.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:Next I'm going to make a certain strike.
Josh:Okay, go for it.
Tanner:Oh.
Josh:Very unfortunate.
Tanner:Nothing happens.
Tanner:That is the only way for it to be uncertain.
Mike:Can you get within 60 feet of me?
Noah:Oh.
Josh:Oh, I'm sorry.
Josh:He's currently 115 feet up in the air, and Divex is on the ground.
Tanner:Yeah.
Mike:I don't know how close we want to cut this.
Tanner:Yeah, I was thinking of doing that next turn, but if you want me to start...
Jorge:I still need to get... I still can't even use my main sword because I'm not even grabbed.
Jorge:I'm restrained.
Josh:Right, because you can either attempt to escape or force open.
Noah:you
Josh:Escape means that you either make an unarmed attack, an acrobatics, or an athletics check.
Josh:Force open means you make an athletics check.
Josh:So those are your options to try and get out.
Josh:Or if you have some way of teleporting, since you're no longer swallowed, you could teleport out of his grasp.
Jorge:I thought I couldn't do that because I can't make anything with a manipulate.
Josh:Oh, true.
Josh:It would have to be a vocal.
Jorge:Because I know before I got swallowed, I was just grabbed, I think.
Jorge:And then I got... Oh, it's because of the crit.
Josh:No, you were restraining.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:I hate that condition.
Josh:If you have a way of teleporting that isn't to manipulate, which there are some abilities that teleport without manipulate, I don't know if you have any of them.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Also, if you want, somebody else could also attack the thing holding you.
Jorge:I thought the rupture would have done that.
Josh:No, the rupture just makes it so you're no longer swallowed.
Jorge:Alright.
Tanner:I need to give... No, I need to give you this stick.
Jorge:Yeah, you can dip.
Jorge:Okay.
Tanner:Josh, tell... Well, if you're not going to be able to get out... You know what I'm saying?
Jorge:Or you could drop and I'll meet you down there.
Jorge:Or...
Jorge:Yeah, I don't know how I'm going to get up.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:Josh, tell me about how many actions it would take me to get this into Lev's possession.
Josh:I will let you roll an acrobatics check.
Josh:So normally it's two.
Josh:It'd be an action to get within range to put it into his pocket or something, and then it's an action to actually hand it over.
Josh:I will let you make an acrobatics check that if you roll high enough on would obliviate the need for the action to hand it over.
Josh:You can do both of those things in one action, if that makes sense.
Tanner:Okay.
Josh:Give me a second.
Josh:I just need to pull up the level-based DC chart because I still don't have that memorized.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:Hmm.
Tanner:My acrobatics is low, but we're going to give it a try.
Tanner:Okay.
Josh:The DC is 36.
Tanner:That gives me, well, a disadvantage.
Tanner:Alright.
Josh:Ooh, true.
Tanner:Let's just see what happens.
Tanner:Whatever.
Tanner:I think it's going to work.
Jorge:Oh.
Josh:That's crazy.
Josh:You rolled 13 twice.
Tanner:All right.
Tanner:I needed a 10.
Josh:Yeah, okay, so that's enough for you to both step and also hand the matchstick, or, like, chuck the matchstick in Lev's pocket.
Tanner:Okay.
Tanner:So I'm there.
Tanner:That was one action.
Josh:Mm-hmm.
Tanner:And then shoot with my final action.
Tanner:So, I'm in the air and I'm flying.
Josh:Yes.
Tanner:To go down, I either fly at my speed or relinquish the flying and plummet all the way to the ground and take damage.
Josh:Those are your two options, yes.
Tanner:Are those my two options?
Tanner:Hmm.
Tanner:Alright.
Tanner:I think that I just for now...
Tanner:will stride or fly, whatever the 25.
Tanner:Oh, uh-huh.
Jorge:You also, Henrik, you can force an ascension, which will cause a quarantine that we can escape into.
Tanner:That is a crazy thing to say.
Noah:Okay.
Mike:Thank you.
Jorge:We could do that, and then we could just shuffle it back to be able to leave again.
Josh:Okay, so you have three options.
Josh:You could plummet to the ground, you could fly to the ground, or you could become a god.
Josh:Those are your three choices.
Jorge:Or you can become a god on the ground.
Tanner:I think wouldn't it just bring me I feel like this is a crazy planet I'm just gonna go down for now yeah
Jorge:Either way.
Jorge:Well, I can bring people through doors if I get out of this thing.
Josh:Okay, so you're just going down 25 feet?
Jorge:It's a great idea.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:It's only 60 damage.
Jorge:You could take it.
Josh:Henrik is now at 90 feet.
Josh:I will also note, we've been over this a few times, because you have asked a few times.
Josh:The only entrance point that Lev has to the lighthouse in this city is the lighthouse.
Josh:So you'd have to go to the lighthouse to enter.
Tanner:Hmm...
Josh:That's a possible thing for you to do.
Josh:I'm just like... No, no, no, no, no.
Jorge:Oh, I thought that was just because the deep was trapped.
Jorge:The deep was the only ascended person there.
Josh:Your power is not the ability to make lighthouse doors appear.
Josh:Your ability is to know how to get from point A to point B in the lighthouse.
Josh:Those are different things.
Josh:You know where the lighthouse door is.
Noah:you
Josh:It's at the lighthouse.
Jorge:Hmm.
Jorge:Oh, where's the lighthouse?
Josh:So that does...
Jorge:It was up top here, if I remember correctly.
Josh:Yeah, if you want, you can make a perception check to look around to see where it is.
Josh:That said, Henrik, do you have any other actions?
Tanner:Those were my four actions, so I'll concede to the next turn.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:It's the Deep's turn.
Josh:The Deep is frightened.
Tanner:Joy.
Josh:The Deep is off guard to someone.
Josh:Does anybody know why the Deep is off guard right now?
Noah:um you
Jorge:No idea.
Tanner:It wasn't me.
Josh:Okay, I'm going to remove that then.
Josh:I know he has to roll something in order to reduce his frightened condition, but that's at the end of his turn anyway.
Josh:Okay, Deep's turn.
Josh:Deep has Lever Strained.
Josh:Deep's probably not going to attempt to swallow him again.
Josh:So instead, I think what he'll do is heal Lever Strained.
Jorge:An attack of a... I can... Yeah.
Jorge:Interrupt that.
Josh:Can you?
Jorge:It's an attack action.
Jorge:It's not a manipulate.
Josh:Yeah, if that's a thing you can do, then do it.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:Because now you can be holding your weapon.
Tanner:Are you just...
Josh:Oh, actually, but you can't use any... Oh, no.
Josh:It says you can't use any attack or manipulate actions.
Josh:Um, this is a reaction, which I think means that you can... Oh, yeah, a 38 doesn't have.
Jorge:I don't think it matters.
Jorge:I don't think it hits.
Josh:Um, but, like, in general, it is good to know that, like, yes, you can do that.
Josh:I don't think there's anything that says that you can't.
Josh:Um, regardless, he's gonna kill you.
Josh:Make a fort save, please.
Josh:That fort save.
Tanner:Oh my god.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Oof.
Josh:Oh, I hit the wrong one anyway.
Josh:That was supposed to be the two action, not the three action.
Jorge:Now.
Josh:Because he doesn't actually want to heal you.
Josh:You did... It's the same DC, so... Okay, so I'm going to roll damage.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:That is going to be 36 doubled to 82 points of vitality damage.
Noah:Don't do it again.
Josh:But you are resistant to vitality, so not all of it lands.
Josh:That was one action.
Josh:There are two of you on the ground now.
Josh:Where did it go?
Tanner:oh no the green man is coming
Josh:It's been removed from the spell slot.
Josh:Come back.
Jorge:Wait, wait.
Mike:I guess you can't cast it.
Jorge:He's in the era of Karkov.
Jorge:Shouldn't it be dampened?
Josh:Um... Well, he's in the anti... You're totally right.
Jorge:Oh, he's in my era, so he should be dampened, actually.
Josh:He's in the antallergy thing.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:So it was actually much less.
Josh:I forgot about that.
Josh:Thank you.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Eight points of damage.
Josh:You have vitality 10, so it actually didn't do anything.
Jorge:Cool.
Jorge:All right.
Josh:Because you're not vulnerable to health damage for some unknown reason.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:Where is my green man?
Jorge:Miss.
Josh:He's in a garden.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Let's try this again, please.
Josh:Thank you.
Josh:I'm casting the Garden of the Green Man's Growth.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:Okay.
Jorge:Both of those still attack, though, because neither of them were critical misses.
Jorge:I mean, they both do the damage because of my weapon, Adept.
Josh:Sure, sure.
Josh:So that is actually an additional... Okay, sure.
Jorge:So he's got to add 26 twice.
Josh:I'll do that.
Josh:152.
Josh:We'll do that.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:A 60-foot emanation, but the only ones it's going to hit are Divex and Donk, because you're both on the ground right now.
Josh:So make a reflex save for me, please.
Noah:This is anti-magic first.
Josh:This has the concentrate, divine, incarnate, manipulate, and mythic traits, if any of those are relevant.
Mike:Oh, I actually do have...
Noah:I don't know why I rolled twice.
Noah:Josh, I'm going to use my badge of Mercuromancy.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:So I raise my little Sedecium badge.
Noah:And as luck would have it, all magic bounces off me.
Noah:I'm unaffected by the magic, and he has to make... He has to make this same spell save.
Josh:He's not within range of the spell.
Josh:So, like, I don't know if that would... The green man appears and he doesn't affect you, but it, like... You can't rebound the full area of effect back on him, if that makes sense.
Noah:Well, that's a bummer.
Noah:I'll just reboot it.
Josh:I will roll a reflex save for him.
Josh:He's just not going to be affected by, like, the difficult terrain and the depart steps of the spell, if that makes sense.
Noah:It's against my class, DC, so I'm sure he will succeed.
Josh:Um...
Josh:Okay, well, I rolled a 51.
Josh:Okay, so we'll take half damage.
Noah:That does not crit, but it does succeed.
Josh:And what do we get?
Josh:Divex got a 43.
Mike:43.
Josh:And then... No, what did you... Oh, you succeeded.
Josh:Right, so it doesn't affect you.
Josh:Okay, so a 43 is a failure.
Josh:And this guy also rolled a success, so he'll take half damage.
Josh:So, Divex, you take 42 points of damage.
Josh:The Deep will take half of that, plus 25, because he is vulnerable.
Josh:I could do this.
Noah:you you
Josh:21 plus 25.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Resistant to all damage 20 is ridiculous.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Divex, you are knocked 30 feet over here, we'll say?
Josh:And you're prone.
Josh:Which I do hear is optimal.
Mike:It is.
Josh:And from now on, anybody walking on the arena on the floor, it's difficult to rank.
Josh:So every square costs twice as much as it normally would.
Noah:No.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:And then that's the end of his turn, so the depart action happens.
Josh:So... Once again, there's still only two of you on the ground, so you both need to make another reflex save.
Jorge:That's it?
Jorge:He just shows up and leaves?
Josh:He arrives, the turn happens, and then he leaves.
Noah:Oh, wow.
Josh:Those are two different actions.
Josh:Oh, sorry, until the end of your next turn.
Josh:It doesn't happen now.
Josh:It happens next turn.
Josh:So, you know what, we'll have the guy just hang out.
Tanner:Oh, there he is.
Josh:That's him.
Josh:That's the green man.
Mike:Ah!
Josh:He's green.
Mike:Ah!
Noah:Terrifying.
Mike:Maybe the last two plants to shoot?
Josh:I expected him to be bigger, to be honest.
Noah:Yeah, we got to shoot these last two plants.
Josh:He's a level 24, but he's medium-sized.
Josh:I just kind of assumed that the big guys are going to be big.
Josh:Either way, that's the end of the Deep's turn.
Noah:Yeah!
Josh:Done!
Noah:Top of my turn, I will, because I am not fast, I will rocket boots over here.
Noah:Then I will take a technomantic shot at this binding point.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:I also hope this is the right move.
Tanner:Yeah, what do they do?
Tanner:What does it mean?
Noah:I don't know.
Noah:I just assume that it's
Josh:They do literally nothing.
Tanner:We just... We just lean so heavily towards destruction.
Josh:I just figured I would waste some of your time.
Noah:That's going to be real, real rude.
Noah:A critical hit, apparently.
Josh:Yeah, I mean, they have an AC of 10, I think.
Noah:Oh, good.
Tanner:My god.
Noah:I actually don't think I'm close enough to hit this one, so I'll have to run.
Josh:Oh no, AC of 20.
Josh:Either way, absolutely.
Josh:Blows up, just hits the ground, melts into the ground.
Josh:You did a murder.
Noah:Am I in difficult terrain?
Noah:Is it just everything's difficult terrain for me?
Josh:The whole map is difficult terrain for everyone.
Noah:Okay, well then... Divex, how far away from you can I get?
Josh:The green man appeared, he grew thorns everywhere, it just sucks.
Noah:Oh, well, that's not great.
Mike:Hold on.
Josh:You're already too far away, I believe.
Josh:I think the grimoire requires that you're within 60 feet.
Mike:Why did my phone... I wasn't sure if the Grimoire did, but the spell all is one needs you within 60.
Josh:Oh, right.
Josh:That's what it is.
Josh:There's no distance restriction on the codex.
Noah:Okay.
Mike:Yeah, I mean, I'm going to try to head towards Henrik, the two floaty guys next turn.
Mike:So mildly close to them.
Mike:But yeah, I mean, 60 feet.
Noah:I'll get right there.
Noah:And then... No, I have to rocket boots.
Noah:I will...
Noah:I'll rocket boots my way.
Noah:I'll just figure out a way to get back next turn.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:I'll rocket boots right there.
Noah:And then I will shoot the last guy while I'm still empowered.
Josh:All right.
Josh:Go for it.
Josh:All right.
Josh:Yeah, absolutely.
Noah:Another critical hit.
Noah:I think that is all four of them.
Josh:That is all four of them.
Josh:This one breaks, the juice hits the ground, melts into the ground, and for a second it does very much feel like you're just running around breaking some plants unrelated to the Giant god in front of you.
Josh:But then you feel this rumbling in the ground underneath you, and...
Josh:A line of blue light connects the four spots where the plants originally were, and in the center of those four lines is directly underneath the deep.
Josh:You watch as a column of blue fungal matter shoots out of the ground straight up and grabs the deep.
Josh:The deep is stunned six.
Tanner:Whoa.
Noah:Oh.
Noah:Okay.
Jorge:Excellent.
Jorge:So that's one round for us.
Noah:That's all I got.
Noah:That is my turn.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:That will bring us then to... One second, let me add all six stacks of stunned to this guy.
Josh:That brings us to Dymex.
Josh:Dymex are prone and off guard.
Mike:Oh, that's... If I cast Fly, can I just start flying, or do I have to stand up before I fly?
Mike:No, I guess that makes sense.
Josh:I'm fairly confident you have to stand up before you fly.
Josh:Because you can't stride, which is the action that one would take when they fly.
Jorge:You can't just, you know.
Josh:I mean, I'll double-check for you, but... Well, so you have to use the fly action, which... I don't know...
Mike:You gain a fly speed.
Mike:In order to move, you have to use the stride action.
Josh:One second.
Josh:Let me read the prone condition.
Josh:The only move actions you can use while you're prone are crawl and stand.
Jorge:I'd be so pissed.
Josh:So unless you have a version of the fly spell that lets you fly while crawling, you can't.
Mike:I can't crawl through the air.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Jorge:That sucks.
Josh:No, he still has to sit up once.
Jorge:You're a high-level wizard, but you still gotta do sit-ups.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:One time.
Josh:It's not like a repeated action thing.
Jorge:You're telling me... You're telling me this fourth-level spell.
Jorge:It only works when you stand.
Josh:Okay, so just answer me how this spell works.
Jorge:I'm not mad at you, Josh.
Jorge:I think it's funny.
Josh:How does the spell work?
Josh:He's like lying on the ground, he does an incantation, he just starts levitating, but certainly at some point he's orienting himself.
Josh:Or do you imagine Divex floating up and then like feet first shooting forward at whatever he's going for?
Josh:That...
Noah:That one.
Jorge:You can also get orientation.
Jorge:Or are all people just standing like Omni-Man?
Noah:I'll die.
Josh:The idea is that the fly action does that.
Jorge:No, I get for balancing.
Jorge:I get for balancing.
Josh:It's not even for balancing.
Josh:Just in general, when you start flying, at some point he's going to want to be rotated so he's facing the thing that he's flying towards.
Jorge:Many times you rotate while flying.
Jorge:It's a full action.
Jorge:That's bullshit.
Josh:You don't rotate while flying.
Josh:That's the thing.
Josh:The fly spell doesn't say you can rotate in the air.
Josh:It's not the rotate spell.
Jorge:Well, you can move in the air.
Jorge:I just want to move across a different axis.
Noah:oh no oh
Josh:I will also note that I read through the spell fly and I went to the fly action and I found out we've been using fly wrong the whole time.
Josh:Did you know that if you're flying and you don't take at least one fly action while you're in the air, every round you plummet to the ground?
Jorge:Why?
Tanner:Whoa.
Tanner:Is there a separate ability to hover that would cancel that out?
Josh:Maybe.
Josh:I just read the fly action, which explicitly states if you end your turn in the air and did not use a fly action that round, you plummet to the ground and fall prone.
Josh:We're obviously not doing that.
Tanner:That's great.
Noah:your problems.
Jorge:I was going to say, it's convenient for right now.
Josh:But yeah, no, absolutely not.
Josh:I'm not changing the rules right now, but it's good to know for campaign three, I guess.
Mike:Okay, so question.
Mike:What are my options for getting close to Henrik and Lev?
Mike:What's in the air that I can be on top of that I don't have to... How do I get up there without flying?
Mike:Can I get on top of the deep?
Josh:If you want to stand on top of the deep, that is an option available to you.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:I don't know if Divex would think that that's such a great idea.
Josh:But yes, physically in the air, the only things present are the deep, Kharkov, and your two allies.
Josh:So if you're looking for something to stand on top of, it's one of those four things.
Josh:Kharkov did have his torso ripped off and then replaced with a fungal tripod.
Mike:Does Kharkov look like more piggyback-able?
Jorge:you
Noah:Sounds like a yeah.
Josh:I don't know if that helps one way or the other, but it is something to keep in mind.
Noah:Sounds like a yeah to me.
Mike:OK.
Mike:Because if I have to stand up, cast a spell,
Mike:My sustain is a free action, so I can keep... What's it called on?
Mike:Casting the spell and standing up is two actions, and then I move 20 feet in the air towards these guys.
Josh:Well, so just to clarify here, you're not casting the spell on Lev, and you are casting it on Dawn, who's on the ground, right?
Mike:And then next turn, I have to use all three actions to do the thing.
Mike:I think I have to get on top of the deep in order to get close enough to you people.
Mike:Uh...
Mike:I'm casting it on as many... I'm casting it on as many... Fair enough.
Jorge:You can't get Unlive.
Josh:It doesn't work on Lev.
Mike:So then Henrik has to come down here.
Mike:Okay.
Noah:I'll figure out how to get over there.
Tanner:I'm gonna fall on my turn.
Josh:Whether he wants to or not.
Mike:I still need to be within 60 feet of Lev.
Josh:Well, I don't know how to help you there.
Mike:Which... Yeah, I don't know how to get there.
Mike:Dawn, can you get to the deep on your next turn?
Mike:Or is that also...
Mike:We just have people.
Noah:That is a great question.
Noah:I have to do math because it's 120 feet up and I'm currently...
Jorge:Well, he's at least 60 feet up, right, as a 60-foot radius.
Josh:You are currently 145 feet away from the deep.
Noah:Okay.
Noah:I actually do think I can get there.
Noah:Yeah.
Josh:You can see the fun diagonal math that it's doing.
Josh:If you click on your character and then you hover over another token, it should tell you as the crown flies distance between the two.
Jorge:Oh, cool.
Noah:Oh, that is fun.
Noah:Yeah, I can get there.
Noah:I can get on top of the deep.
Mike:You can get on top of the deep.
Mike:I just realized I have a fantastic spell for this, but I don't know if I need to use it right now for this.
Mike:So it's after the next round that shit happens.
Noah:Okay.
Mike:I'll save it.
Josh:Okay, when you say Dimension Door, are you going into the air?
Mike:I think I will Dimension Door to here.
Mike:I'll burn, whatever, a fourth level.
Josh:Or are you on the ground?
Mike:No.
Josh:You're just on the ground.
Mike:On the ground.
Mike:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:Anything else on your turn?
Mike:Sustaining, whatever it's called, Chaos Theory, and then I have... That was a spell.
Josh:Stand.
Mike:No cantrips allowed.
Noah:hello hello hello
Mike:I have two actions left.
Mike:um i'm gonna shield and then i have no idea what to do with the last action oh yeah stand
Josh:Okay.
Josh:You stand up.
Josh:That brings us to Lev.
Jorge:Alright!
Jorge:My theater should go down now.
Josh:Correct, because you have a Regalia.
Noah:um you
Jorge:Yes.
Jorge:And I will make an unarmed strike to try to escape.
Jorge:That's how that works, right?
Josh:Your Unarmed Strike is better than your Athletics or Acrobatics?
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Oh, wow.
Josh:Okay, yeah.
Josh:Then yes, it's an Unarmed Strike.
Josh:We'll allow the Chakri Strike as an Unarmed Attack.
Josh:Oh, no, your bonus is actually better for your Unarmed Attack.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Yeah, use your Unarmed Attack.
Jorge:I will reroll it.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:All right, let me try it one more time.
Noah:No, as he does this, the dice shoots out of Dom's hand and rolls into the air, and there is a massive...
Jorge:I am a proficiency.
Jorge:What am I in this?
Jorge:Master?
Jorge:Yes, so plus four.
Josh:You are a master.
Josh:So plus four.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:Please, please, please, please, please, please.
Josh:That's crazy.
Jorge:Success!
Jorge:No!
Jorge:Thank you.
Noah:big 20 that expands across the entire field.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:So that is a crit, because you rolled a natural 20.
Josh:Good job.
Jorge:Thank you.
Josh:So roll crit damage.
Jorge:Or biting him.
Tanner:punch him critically oh yeah, let's slow him
Noah:Oh, you get stuff for that?
Josh:Okay, so let me make a fort save against this.
Mike:Thank you.
Noah:You did this.
Josh:It is funny that... Okay, so I rolled a natural 20, but I also rolled a 2, because God, Karkov is really ruining this for me.
Jorge:Misfortune.
Josh:I did this to myself, absolutely.
Josh:Okay, so yeah, that is a failure, which means that he's also slowed, as well as being stunned.
Josh:Stunt overrides load.
Jorge:Cool.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:So what's going to happen is it's going to wear off before it actually means anything, unfortunately.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:But either way, that is 4 plus 23 is 27 times 2 is 100 and... Nope.
Josh:27 times 2 is... I know this.
Josh:I can do this.
Josh:It's 54.
Josh:Plus 2.
Josh:56.
Noah:Wow.
Josh:Plus 50 from the vulnerability is 106 total damage, despite being in the aura of minimization.
Jorge:All right.
Josh:Pretty good.
Tanner:Kind of busted, yeah.
Tanner:Sick.
Jorge:I will... Okay, cool.
Josh:And you are no longer restricted.
Jorge:I would like to look for the lighthouse.
Josh:Okay, roll the perception check.
Jorge:Oh, I'm so sorry.
Noah:Okay.
Mike:The suspense.
Josh:37.
Josh:Okay, so I do actually need to do one second, one second, one second.
Jorge:I also should be able to kind of sense it, right?
Jorge:Because, you know, I could sense...
Josh:So a 37.
Josh:is enough because the DC wasn't particularly high and because you're 120 feet in the air so you can see over the Giant organ that was being played.
Josh:This organ and the arena kind of that you're in was grown in front of the lighthouse.
Josh:It's become this kind of, like, forward operation space.
Josh:Because if you recall, the Deep was trying to get into the lighthouse and couldn't breach the, like, outer layer.
Josh:Anyway, there's the... Well, ignore that.
Josh:That's the wrong asset.
Josh:Ignore that.
Mike:There is a Giant black line.
Josh:There we go.
Josh:That's the right asset.
Josh:There's a Giant black line?
Mike:I don't know if anyone else sees that.
Mike:Yeah.
Jorge:I see it too.
Josh:Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:Where is it?
Jorge:It's slanted.
Jorge:You want to take a screenshot?
Tanner:Oh, up here.
Tanner:I didn't see the map expanded.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:One sec.
Josh:One second.
Mike:I see it, Josh.
Josh:I don't know what you're talking about.
Josh:I don't know what you're talking about.
Josh:Do I have to move the lighthouse Syrin back?
Josh:It's this whole thing.
Josh:beacon light.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:There we go.
Josh:The lighthouse is behind the organ.
Jorge:OK.
Josh:The walls of the organ itself extend out 50 feet, by the way.
Jorge:OK.
Josh:So, like, this bit right here, I don't know if you guys can see where my cursor is, but this bit is 50 feet up, and then on the other end of it is the lighthouse.
Noah:Amen.
Jorge:Gentlemen, since our backup plan isn't going to work on me, I think I need to go to the lighthouse.
Tanner:Listen, whatever you gotta do.
Tanner:This...
Jorge:Adios, and I will Dimension Door 5th level with my scroll to the door.
Jorge:I don't know if I can just go through it, but if I could, I would just go there.
Josh:Okay, absolutely.
Josh:The door is closed right now.
Jorge:If not... I think I can open it, right?
Josh:Do you want to try opening it?
Jorge:Because I thought the whole thing... Yes.
Josh:Do you want to try opening it?
Josh:Okay, yeah, no, the knob turns.
Josh:At least you can tell.
Josh:Hmm?
Jorge:Because Lev knows how to move around with lighthouses, so I assume he could do this.
Jorge:So yeah.
Josh:Okay, so... Lev, dimension doors away.
Josh:Sorry, how many actions do you still have?
Jorge:I have one free movement, actually.
Josh:You had one... You had or you had?
Jorge:My haste.
Jorge:I have.
Josh:Okay, so are you walking into the lighthouse, I guess is the question?
Jorge:I have.
Jorge:Can I see what's inside when I open it?
Josh:You can roll another perception check.
Jorge:Is that going to take an action?
Josh:No?
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:This one will be free.
Josh:No charge.
Jorge:Oh.
Josh:46, that's not bad.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:So you open up the door to the lighthouse.
Josh:Lev has never seen this before, but other people have walked into a facsimile of the lighthouse previously in this party.
Josh:So when you open it, it opens onto the bottom floor of a lighthouse.
Josh:Concrete floors, stone walls leading up.
Josh:A single spiral staircase that starts at your right when you walk in and heads up to what you would imagine is the top of the lighthouse.
Josh:What looked to be some boxes spread about.
Josh:Some cleaning supplies, by the looks of it.
Josh:Like a mop bucket type deal.
Jorge:Walking in.
Josh:Like a broom.
Josh:Okay, absolutely.
Josh:Lev walks into the lighthouse.
Josh:And that's where he will remain, I suppose, for the next turn.
Josh:That's going to be another action.
Tanner:You gotta shut the door, man.
Jorge:Yeah, I. Don't think I can shut it right now, right?
Jorge:That's an action, I'm assuming.
Josh:You can do that next turn.
Jorge:Yeah, yeah.
Josh:That brings us to Kharkov.
Noah:Ooh.
Josh:Kharkov heals.
Tanner:Lame.
Josh:Kharkov has realized...
Josh:And by has realized, I mean the deepest telepathically screaming into Kharkov's head.
Josh:The equivalent of like, yeah, profanities, effectively.
Jorge:Get the fuck out of here.
Josh:So I think Kharkov is going to leave.
Josh:Kharkov!
Josh:Kharkov probably wants to head down and try and mess up Divex, I think.
Josh:So he's fully healed.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:He can just tank the damage.
Josh:He's just going to stop flying and plummet 120 feet to the ground so that he's at ground level.
Tanner:Does that mean I don't get to strike him as he passes me?
Josh:That is a move action.
Josh:So you do get to attempt an attack of opportunity.
Tanner:Oh, it is.
Tanner:All right.
Tanner:I am 30 feet below him.
Tanner:I don't know if that matters.
Josh:So he zooms past you and you can just take a pot shot at him as he falls.
Noah:Yeah.
Tanner:I just kind of stick the shield out, see if he lands on a couple spikes.
Jorge:Can you interrupt the movement and it just floats there?
Mike:He's on the ground and...
Josh:Well, yeah, so the problem is if he interrupts the movement, he will have stopped the fall and then he'll fall.
Josh:So I don't think that... Unfortunately, that does miss.
Tanner:Yeah, it can't really... I don't think it can be disrupted.
Tanner:I missed.
Tanner:This game sucks.
Josh:He's on the ground now.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Tanner:At least he's taking damage from the fall.
Josh:I think he's going to, oh right, let's apply the 60 flat damage for the fall.
Josh:Prone, which is optimal.
Mike:yes what no no it's it's good for us he has to waste an action because he's not a caster if he was a caster i'd be worried because i need the optimal position yeah be back
Jorge:Why are you proud about that?
Tanner:He's prone, and he's happy about it.
Jorge:That's bad.
Jorge:That's bad that he's prone.
Josh:He stood up with his second action.
Jorge:Oh, okay.
Noah:Oh, no, Tanner.
Josh:Who just died?
Jorge:Tan Man.
Josh:Sorry, Tanner.
Josh:Oh, and he's back!
Jorge:Do you get his laptop?
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Ooh!
Tanner:Oh no.
Noah:Oh, yeah.
Jorge:Yes.
Tanner:Okay.
Josh:Hey!
Jorge:And he has the background.
Josh:Um...
Tanner:Wait.
Mike:No waiting.
Josh:Because you shielded, this isn't a crit.
Josh:But he does hit you with a fungal lash.
Noah:on.
Josh:So we're going to deal some damage.
Josh:That is going to be 29 points of damage total.
Josh:Although I think you're only going to end up taking 7.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:Ugh.
Josh:But alright.
Josh:That's the end of his turn.
Josh:That brings us back up to Henrik.
Tanner:Okay.
Josh:I need to step away a second.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Josh:So talk amongst yourselves for the moment.
Tanner:I won't begin.
Tanner:All right.
Jorge:God, that Josh guy is the best, right?
Noah:Yeah, I feel as though you're sort of in a pocket dimension in there.
Jorge:I complimented you!
Jorge:Comedy, we call it.
Tanner:I've plugged the headset into the laptop, so we get the best of both worlds.
Jorge:Misdirection.
Mike:Oh.
Jorge:Oh!
Jorge:Oh!
Mike:Oh.
Tanner:Wow.
Jorge:So, do you guys think I'm still going to need to pop the twig while behind the lighthouse doors?
Jorge:Like, do you think this can destroy the lighthouse?
Tanner:I feel like the lighthouse has got to be pretty safe, but I don't know.
Jorge:It would really suck.
Noah:You get in there and you're like, I'm perfectly safe.
Jorge:It gets destroyed.
Jorge:Actually, you know what?
Noah:Boom.
Jorge:I'm not going to do it because if the lighthouse gets destroyed by this falling moon, I think we have so many other problems.
Jorge:Like 630 ascended beings that are mad being unleashed in Ulfheim.
Tanner:yeah that is tough
Jorge:I would like to just take a nap and wake up in my clone chamber in a couple of months.
Jorge:I don't know if I want to be around for that.
Mike:I could also keep you alive, but it's not what I was going to use.
Jorge:No, you can't.
Jorge:Your act together doesn't work on me.
Mike:I did.
Jorge:Oh, well, you could have communicated that.
Mike:I said I still have to be within 60 feet of you.
Jorge:Well, I didn't interrupt when I go, guys, I think I need to go because there's...
Jorge:Divex's thing won't work on me.
Jorge:And you're like, see ya.
Jorge:How would you keep me alive?
Jorge:I don't know what that is, but sounds like it would work.
Mike:Word of revision.
Jorge:That sounds really scary and godlike.
Mike:Yeah.
Jorge:Oh, what does it do?
Josh:What's happening?
Mike:Weird enough, it's a sixth level for one person.
Mike:If someone drops to zero hit points, you stop that.
Mike:Or if they fail, a save.
Tanner:Now, something that I am concerned about is when a moon crashes into another celestial body, it's not over in an instant.
Mike:The sky.
Tanner:I mean, there's got to be some fallout, right?
Tanner:So it's a good thing we have some fast healing.
Mike:Yeah.
Noah:Okay.
Mike:We got ways of making you talk.
Jorge:Or you guys can try to make it to the lighthouse.
Jorge:I haven't closed the door yet.
Josh:You can take your turn now, if you like.
Tanner:Oh my god, I forgot.
Tanner:That's what we were waiting on.
Tanner:What am I going to do?
Tanner:I'd really like to... I shouldn't have dropped the last round.
Tanner:Yeah, but I've got to end up by Dive X.
Jorge:You also have Badge of the Cosmoturge.
Jorge:which will let you teleport 120 feet.
Jorge:That's two actions, though.
Jorge:There's a juicy lighthouse.
Josh:I mean, he can't see the... Oh, actually, he can see the lighthouse from where he is.
Mike:You're also... You're also 300 feet away.
Tanner:yeah yeah
Josh:I do also believe you need to make an attack with the Badger of Cosmoturgy.
Josh:I guess you could hit yourself.
Jorge:Do you need to make an attack, or is it just all your... Make an attack.
Josh:I mean, that's definitely the intent.
Josh:I don't know if it, like...
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:You teleport to 120 feet?
Josh:Okay, so technically you teleport 120 feet and make a melee attack against all creatures within your reach.
Josh:Could theoretically be zero creatures within your reach, but that is not what that is intended for.
Noah:Never.
Josh:You're teleporting to a creature to attack them.
Tanner:I feel like I should do something stupid.
Josh:That'd be fun.
Josh:I'm always a big proponent of doing something stupid.
Tanner:Tell me about falling damage.
Josh:So long as you're falling at least 20 feet, it is half of the total distance you fall and you land prone.
Noah:you
Tanner:So if I went back up a little bit to 120.
Jorge:Is he at range to hit the deep?
Josh:Then you would take 60 points of damage when you hit the ground.
Tanner:Alright, whatever, man.
Tanner:That makes sense.
Tanner:I'm going to go back up.
Josh:Okay, 120 feet.
Josh:Well, you were at 115.
Tanner:Well, technically... Yeah.
Josh:Yep.
Tanner:Because I only have 25.
Tanner:But that puts me within range to hit the deep.
Jorge:At 115, because he's like a big circle.
Tanner:Yeah.
Jorge:Does he even need to move to hit him?
Tanner:I was down at 90.
Josh:He was at 90.
Tanner:I dropped last round.
Jorge:Ah, okay.
Tanner:So then second action will strike.
Tanner:Successfully.
Josh:Okay, excellent.
Tanner:We're still damp up here.
Josh:All right.
Tanner:I think it's just 52 again.
Josh:You are still dampened.
Josh:So it's 5, 6, 7.
Tanner:Is that right?
Josh:7 plus 16 is... I know how to do this.
Tanner:Oh.
Tanner:7 plus 16 is 23?
Noah:you
Tanner:Yeah.
Josh:Sure, I'll take it.
Josh:23 plus 25.
Josh:48.
Tanner:There's no regalia anymore.
Josh:Correct.
Josh:48 points of damage.
Tanner:Okay, that was two actions.
Josh:The deep is not looking fantastic.
Tanner:With my third action, I'll make a certain strike.
Josh:Mm-hmm.
Tanner:Oh my god, that's so sad.
Tanner:Um...
Tanner:I'm going to use a hero point.
Josh:Okay, he's using a hero point.
Tanner:I'm legendary, so I get plus two.
Jorge:You greedy.
Jorge:There's a moon falling on your head and you're using it for this.
Tanner:I've got two of them.
Josh:Yeah, 42 is unfortunately a miss.
Jorge:I love it.
Jorge:You're like, you're going to die before the moon.
Tanner:I've got two of them.
Tanner:No, I need to make sure he dies.
Tanner:That's the thing.
Tanner:I miss anyway.
Tanner:Um...
Tanner:All right.
Tanner:With my fourth action, I plummet.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:You are at 115 feet, so you are going to take 55 bludgeoning damage.
Tanner:All right.
Josh:And you'll be on the ground.
Tanner:I'm just going to do it.
Tanner:There we go.
Josh:And you're prone!
Tanner:Yeah.
Tanner:That's okay.
Josh:All right, anything else?
Tanner:No.
Josh:All right.
Josh:It's the deep's turn.
Noah:Uncool.
Josh:The deep is stunned six.
Josh:The deep loses three actions and is stunned three.
Josh:The green man leaves.
Josh:What happens when the green man leaves?
Mike:We have to make saves.
Josh:Okay, so finds gathered around his body shoot out at people within...
Josh:100 feet of the green man.
Josh:He has to choose six people within 100 feet, which is going to be Henrik, Divex, and Dawn.
Noah:Anti-magic.
Josh:You all need to make reflex saves, please.
Noah:Wow, that worked.
Josh:Cool.
Josh:What happens?
Josh:Very handy, because otherwise you might have been grappled.
Noah:Nothing.
Noah:Anti-magic.
Mike:Oh, because I'm in this stupid mis... Because I'm in this stupid misfortune effect.
Tanner:You don't have a reflex to send.
Tanner:You just want me to make one.
Josh:Yeah, just make a reflex save.
Josh:Because it's... What?
Tanner:Whoa.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:What do I... How do hero points work with this?
Mike:I reroll both with mythic proficiency, or...
Josh:Yeah, you would just redo the check with the disadvantage, but you get the additional plus four.
Noah:Yeah.
Tanner:I got a 47 with evasion.
Josh:Nice.
Josh:Oh, sorry.
Josh:You get plus six.
Josh:You're an expert.
Josh:So we'll add two more to that.
Mike:Add two more to that.
Josh:So you're at 53.
Josh:53 is a success.
Josh:47 is a success.
Josh:You have evasion that's bumped up to a critical success.
Josh:And Dawn is just unaffected.
Josh:So just dive it because you're going to take the half damage.
Josh:So you take half of that 33, which means I think you just don't take any damage because you're resistant to stuff.
Josh:And... No one is grabbed or restrained.
Josh:That's it.
Josh:He shoots out some tentacles, everybody says no thank you, and then he leaves.
Josh:He's gone.
Tanner:He saw that moon and was like, no.
Josh:Honestly, fair point.
Tanner:I don't get paid enough for this.
Josh:And that's the end of the Deep's turn.
Josh:Dawn, it's your turn.
Jorge:If you kill the green man in one of the spells cast, does that ruin it for everyone else?
Josh:If you kill the green man before the spell is cast, then the leave effect doesn't apply.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:But the green man is a level 24 monster with 525 health and 51 AC, so I think it's unlikely that you can kill it in one round.
Jorge:It doesn't seem worth it.
Tanner:My gosh.
Jorge:It really doesn't seem worth it.
Tanner:This guy's crazy.
Josh:No!
Tanner:Who the hell is this guy?
Josh:No.
Josh:Honestly, if the spell just lets the green man hang out and make attacks instead of his weird arrive-leave thing, then it would do a whole lot more.
Jorge:Yeah.
Noah:Okay.
Noah:Yeah.
Noah:I will one action translocate over to beside Divex.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:Second action.
Tanner:For the record, that's currently beside Henrik.
Tanner:I don't know if that was your intent.
Josh:Yes.
Noah:Beside Henrik.
Noah:That is what I wanted.
Noah:Whoever more beat up.
Tanner:OK.
Noah:Second action, I will drop Pharos Form so I can be healed.
Josh:Okay, sure.
Jorge:You can call it.
Josh:That's your option.
Noah:Third action, I will lay on hands Henrik.
Josh:If you want.
Tanner:Oh.
Tanner:That's so kind.
Tanner:It's as if I never fell.
Josh:60 hit points.
Noah:And then last action, I guess I'll just try and punch Kharkov.
Josh:Just undo that.
Josh:Yeah, go for it.
Josh:Unfortunately, that is a miss.
Noah:Well, that's my turn.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Go next.
Mike:Yay!
Mike:I'm really going to do it this time.
Mike:This with Codex of Renewal and Destruction.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:Are you moving anybody around?
Josh:Are you moving anybody's hit points around?
Mike:Um...
Mike:I'll take two from Don and give one to me and give one to Henrik.
Tanner:fascinating sure
Mike:If everyone's willing, of course.
Noah:I've been in.
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:I am.
Noah:Two hit points.
Mike:Yep.
Noah:All right.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:You will have the benefit of Necromancy spell from the Codex of Destruction and Renewal, which means you have regeneration 20 for the next four rounds.
Josh:Anything else, Dimex?
Josh:You have one action.
Mike:I don't.
Noah:green you
Josh:Yeah, you do.
Mike:I don't.
Mike:To activate the codex as an action.
Josh:Oh, gotcha.
Mike:I'll use my free action to sustain cast theory.
Josh:That's fun.
Josh:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Lev, you've walked into the lighthouse.
Jorge:Okay, okay.
Jorge:I'm going to... Lev has started his own little headcanon after hearing about the archive that was a dead Thessian.
Jorge:Lev's like, maybe the Light Coast is a Thessian.
Jorge:And he's going to pray to it and say, please quarantine slash save my friend.
Jorge:Can I make an action?
Josh:Okay.
Josh:You can roll a religion check here if you like.
Jorge:Can I do a shameless request?
Josh:It's still a religion check.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:But I'll let you do the benefit of the shameless request.
Jorge:Okay, cool.
Josh:You know what?
Josh:That's fine.
Josh:You can make a diplomacy check to the lighthouse.
Jorge:Thank you.
Josh:Do the full shameless request, whatever.
Jorge:I don't think it's going to matter, but I'm trying, boys.
Jorge:And then I'm going to close this fucking door.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:So I have plus 38 plus 2.
Jorge:I'm going to
Jorge:Use my item.
Jorge:And then I will.
Jorge:Alright.
Jorge:Oh no.
Jorge:50.
Josh:Absolutely ridiculous.
Josh:You rolled a 2 and you got a 50.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:You call out to the lighthouse asking it to save your friends.
Noah:you you
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:You yell out.
Josh:There's a little bit of an echo as it bounces.
Josh:Sorry, this is... One second.
Josh:There's a little bit of an echo as it bounces off of the stone wall of the interior of the lighthouse.
Josh:You hear your voice bounce up the stairway and become distorted as it does so.
Josh:You sit there for three seconds, waiting for a response.
Josh:Okay, shut the door.
Jorge:What's the door?
Josh:As you turn around and close the door, you hear a voice from behind you that has appeared in that space when you stopped looking.
Josh:You turn around to face the source of the voice, and it is an old-looking man.
Josh:Um...
Josh:late 80s, maybe early 90s, super wrinkled, hunched over, blue-skinned, which you haven't seen of many people in general.
Josh:This is, I think, Lev's third Duskwalker.
Jorge:All of them are in this one area, too.
Josh:All of them are in this one area.
Josh:They're all collected.
Josh:He's in a blue boiler suit, if you're familiar.
Josh:Um...
Josh:He is propping himself up with a broom, by the looks of it.
Josh:He's got a little keychain hung around one waist, hung around like one belt loop on his waist.
Josh:And he says, you know, only the brave one gets the soup.
Josh:You come and you cower in the lighthouse, that is fine.
Josh:Better grouse in the hands than ten on the branch.
Josh:But, you know, it is... Droppy water around the lighthouse cannot bring in your friend.
Josh:I'm sure they're fine.
Josh:Hang tight.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:And then with my final action, door's already closed.
Jorge:I'm going to pull from my bag Lev's vodka and offer him some vodka.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:He'll say, not too much sweet for the stomach, and take a swig.
Jorge:Drink?
Josh:This is not the worst you have seen, and it is not the worst you will see.
Jorge:I don't know what you're saying, honestly.
Jorge:I don't really understand it, but we can drink.
Jorge:This is horrible.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:What is your name?
Josh:He points to a little name tag on his chest.
Josh:It's E-E-T-O.
Josh:This is why we wear the name tags.
Josh:It's Kharkov's turn now.
Tanner:Josh, was that a spelling or are those like, they look like initials?
Josh:It looks like just one name.
Josh:E-E-T-O.
Josh:Kharkov.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:Because, you know, that lighthouse thing happens over the course of six seconds.
Josh:So we're going to look away from that.
Jorge:I dilate in the lighthouse, so.
Josh:Yeah, of course.
Josh:What's Karko gonna do?
Josh:All three of you are just sat right here, and he doesn't have an AoE thing he can do, which kinda sucks.
Josh:So I think he's just gonna... Which of the three of you looks the weakest?
Josh:I think it's probably Diveax.
Mike:Make him stand up again.
Jorge:What's he going to stand up?
Josh:He stood up last round.
Jorge:Oh, no.
Mike:Fuck it.
Josh:He stands up a second time.
Josh:He's now levitating five feet off of the ground.
Jorge:Lev!
Noah:Limbs of Redemption.
Jorge:Hit date.
Josh:He's going for Divex.
Josh:We're going to start with the Fungal Lash, and then we're going to follow that up with two Eye Bites.
Tanner:on.
Josh:I rolled terribly for all three of them, but the first one still hits.
Josh:Okay, it's just not going to do anything, because he knows that you're resistant to damage, and so it's not worth it to give you an additional... Oh wait, no, the resistance wouldn't stack.
Josh:Yeah, you know what?
Noah:I think I just applied it, so he should be good.
Josh:The resistance won't stack, so he'll become enfeebled too.
Josh:And you have resistance 22 to this, Divex, instead of resistance 20.
Mike:Did I click it twice?
Josh:That is 52 points of damage, but split between bludgeoning and...
Noah:Hello.
Josh:You did.
Josh:I undid one of them.
Josh:So you take 21 points of damage, and that is unfortunately somehow all three of his actions.
Josh:Which brings us back to the top of the initiative order again.
Josh:Um...
Josh:Ignore the fact that Henrik is prone to mouth guard.
Josh:That's not important right now.
Josh:What's important right now is that there is a artificial moon that has been hurtling towards you at relatively fast speeds, given that it's a Giant moon.
Josh:And you have been scrambling over the past 18-ish seconds to kind of... Actually, that's not true.
Josh:You've had 18 seconds where you've known that this was going to happen, but you really only scrambled for six of them.
Josh:Regardless, you have been setting up to prepare yourself for this thing making contact with the city that you are in.
Josh:There is a brief moment in time where the entire sky just becomes the endless gray expanse of the 13th realm.
Josh:It has lowered enough into the atmosphere that you can't see the sky beyond it.
Josh:It is red hot as it passes through the atmosphere.
Josh:There is cloud cover here.
Josh:There is air.
Josh:There is friction.
Josh:So this thing is not only falling towards you, but it is turned into a flaming meteor as it approaches.
Josh:Yes.
Noah:Do I have time for a quip as this is about to happen?
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:Always.
Noah:I'll look up at the deep and I'll say, squish.
Josh:And with that, the moon comes crashing down.
Josh:You actually see, you know, this all happens very rapidly, but you're all level 20.
Jorge:Throwback.
Josh:You have ridiculous perceptions.
Josh:So you see the split-second moment where the deep, or the essence of the deep...
Josh:explodes outward from it being contacted with this moon, but you don't really have any time to celebrate because that's immediately followed by the moon passing through that space and slamming into the ground.
Josh:I'm going to roll damage now for a moon landing, which is just a very simple 100d6 bludgeoning damage.
Tanner:I should have stayed in the dampening area.
Josh:No, we went over this.
Noah:You.
Josh:The dampening area minimizes damage that originates inside of the area as well.
Josh:So the moon would have still dealt 343 points of bludgeoning damage.
Tanner:Oh!
Josh:Unfortunately, no reflex save here because I don't know what you would be doing to dodge out of the way of this moon hitting you.
Tanner:You gotta roll with it.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:The moon slams into the ground.
Josh:No one is present to watch this happen, because everyone immediately vaporizes upon the instant that the moon makes contact with the ground here.
Josh:Sorry.
Josh:Divex does have 20 resistance, so he only takes 321 damage.
Josh:Which is great.
Josh:Let me do a little bit of cleanup here.
Josh:One second.
Josh:No more fungus.
Noah:you
Josh:That's all gone.
Josh:One, two, three.
Jorge:If this will be even apparent.
Jorge:Lev's going to be counting in his head how long he knows they're healing.
Josh:Okay, it's been around.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:One second.
Josh:This music's not right.
Josh:Let me switch back to the calmer lighthouse music.
Josh:Deep got exploded.
Josh:That which much was got exploded.
Josh:I broke something.
Jorge:I'm glad I didn't wait for the word of revision.
Jorge:I think I would have been murdered.
Josh:I super broke something.
Mike:Yeah, I think you would have been too.
Noah:Come back.
Josh:Ignore this.
Jorge:I would have stayed if I would have been camaraderie if I could have had this other thing, guys.
Mike:Yeah.
Jorge:I'm sorry.
Tanner:you think that it worked out?
Jorge:But I'll come get your bodies.
Jorge:Unless something intervenes.
Josh:Okay, less broken now.
Josh:So your three bodies absolutely completely vaporize.
Josh:Like, nothing left.
Josh:This isn't a kind of thing where, like, a rock fell on you until your body gets pancaked.
Josh:It's more like your body's temporarily reached the temperature required for all of the electrons in your body to just spontaneously leave.
Josh:Which isn't good for people, generally.
Josh:That said, six seconds later, because of the magic that had been imparted on you by Divex, out of nothing, your bodies remit themselves.
Josh:Dust from around pulls in every direction and forms back into you.
Josh:You are all alive again, with 20 hit points.
Tanner:All right.
Josh:you can count your 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 lev, and you are fairly confident that at this point they have revived again.
Noah:Oh.
Josh:The area that, when you open your eyes again, knowing that you were dead for six seconds, the landscape has already completely changed.
Josh:The city itself is gone.
Josh:Just wiped straight up off the face of the planet.
Josh:And the impact with the moon has carved a bunch of dirt and chucked it back into the atmosphere, where it will begin to fall back down as there is this cycle of one planetoid hitting another planet, causing this massive burst of rubble to...
Josh:expand outward and then come back in which is a second explosion that causes more debris to go outward and then back in This place is not going to be habitable for
Josh:Like, on the order of decades, if not centuries, at this point.
Josh:The air around you is so hot that it burns to breathe it in.
Josh:You feel like your blood is almost boiling, and not in the metaphorical sense.
Josh:The ground beneath you is hot enough that you can feel the heat radiating up through even, like, rubberized soles.
Josh:It is exceptionally unpleasant to be standing where you are.
Josh:I'd also love a perception check.
Tanner:That's.
Jorge:I'd like to open the door and shout, Come build a lighthouse, please!
Noah:I'll just go.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:I'm saying this, it's in... Are... Are caves still with us?
Josh:In.
Josh:Or did you want me to do the perception check first?
Josh:What happened?
Tanner:Oh.
Josh:Um... Your items didn't break.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:Uh... Just by virtue of... I'm calling the orb an artifact.
Tanner:I rolled my dice privately.
Josh:Um... I, like... GM Theon.
Jorge:It's too late in the campaign.
Jorge:We're not going to be using this dimension door and stuff.
Jorge:You're fine.
Josh:Yeah, I... What do you mean using this to dimension door?
Josh:Like, this is a very rare circumstance anyway.
Josh:I think it's fine.
Josh:We'll say that they survived.
Josh:They're in your pocket.
Jorge:Alright.
Jorge:I'm using the cave to communicate to the people.
Josh:Um...
Josh:Okay, I see.
Josh:Oh, so you didn't even know what you got.
Josh:That's fun.
Jorge:Can I roll a perception check?
Josh:You got a 19.
Josh:You rolled well.
Jorge:Can I roll a perception check to see when's the next wave of attacks going to be?
Josh:Yeah, absolutely.
Josh:Roll a perception check.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:Oh, damn it.
Josh:33.
Jorge:I'm sorry, perceptions are off.
Josh:There's rocks in the air, there's rocks on the ground, there's stuff on fire.
Josh:It's really hard to tell, but it seems like it would be frequent.
Josh:With the 57 perception check, which actually beats the DC, where 55 does not... Henrik, you get up, you look around, you're getting your bearings.
Tanner:Wow.
Josh:There is something that catches you like the corner of your eye, like a little bit of movement on the periphery that just years at this point of conditioning your vision catches what when you look at it directly on, it just kind of looks like rock.
Josh:But out of the periphery, you see that there are things.
Josh:moving in the crevices of the rock here that has been opened up by this meteor it's got a corded consistency almost like fibrous plant-like maybe fungal um tinged like a deep red and seared but you spot one and then now you know what to look for and you spot another and you spot another uh
Josh:Something survived this moon hitting the planet.
Tanner:Like, it looks like these tendrils are trying to reach for each other.
Josh:And it looks like they're trying to get back together.
Tanner:Okay.
Tanner:Can you also tell me I look up at the space where the deep was held?
Josh:Yeah.
Tanner:Is there just nothingness there?
Josh:Nothing there.
Tanner:Uh...
Tanner:I mean, I look to the fellas, I'm like, listen, there's something still alive here, but I don't know if we will be if we stick around.
Tanner:So I think we got to run for the lighthouse.
Tanner:I'm not sure.
Mike:I mean, we're expecting more volleys of meteors, etc.
Jorge:Thank you.
Mike:But as far as temperature, if we were just hanging out temperature-wise... Okay.
Josh:You guys are super strong.
Josh:You have climate-controlling enchantments and stuff on your clothing.
Josh:You think you could probably last, like, a good ten minutes out here before you melt.
Josh:Um, no, because there's nobody you're fighting right now.
Noah:I mean, I think we should wipe out whatever it is just to be safe.
Tanner:Okay.
Mike:It's frozen.
Tanner:Are we still in initiative order?
Josh:So, let's end that encounter.
Tanner:Interesting.
Noah:Yeah, I'd just like to start blasting.
Josh:Oh, you're just shooting stuff on the ground?
Josh:Absolutely.
Noah:Anything that looks like it might be deep-ish, just...
Jorge:He's frozen for me.
Josh:I will note, with the high success perception chance, you can... Oh, Noah's... Noah, are you still here?
Noah:I'm still here.
Tanner:Oh, he... He's... But I heard him.
Josh:Is he frozen for anybody else?
Josh:You can hear us.
Josh:Okay, so that's fine.
Josh:I will note with a... Oh, he's back.
Josh:With the 57 perception, Henrik can point out all of the ones he finds.
Josh:There are...
Josh:many, many, many instances of this blasted across the ground.
Josh:It is like the result of something being hit with a moon and then spread across an area.
Josh:It's like you're fairly confident that this is less of a we can stop it from recombining and more of a I have a very short breather.
Josh:before this thing comes back together.
Josh:I feel like Dawn would be confident that they cannot kill all of the individual pieces before it recombines into one entity again.
Mike:question.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:How far away are these pieces?
Noah:How long?
Josh:spread over the whole arena in which you were fighting.
Josh:Which, by the way, the thorns from the green man burnt away, so it's no longer difficult terrain.
Jorge:He's gonna poop on it.
Josh:But everything's super craggly and hot, so it is, again, difficult terrain.
Josh:Just for a different reason.
Mike:When you say in the arena, this is like how far away is the furthest thing from us?
Josh:The area we were... The map.
Josh:Um...
Tanner:Oh, he's got to pull some BS.
Tanner:He's going to pull out some BS right now.
Jorge:He's gonna defecate it.
Josh:That's not how that's called.
Mike:I've already used my 155.
Josh:155.
Josh:Are we?
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:Nice.
Mike:So they're all within 155.
Josh:Absolutely.
Mike:Well, I've already used both the desiccates I had today.
Mike:But I do have Wish prepared.
Mike:So I will cast a 9th level desiccate on all of them within 500 feet.
Jorge:So he is going to defecate it.
Josh:So he is.
Josh:That's a lot.
Josh:And this guy is made of plants.
Josh:So...
Josh:Yeah, sure.
Josh:Let me remove those.
Tanner:Divex defecates.
Josh:We don't need that anymore.
Noah:survives a planet falling, looks around, defecates.
Josh:You could just call it something else.
Jorge:I mean, he spent the entire campaign going to the bathroom.
Mike:Thank you.
Jorge:He's now an arch wizard with IBS.
Jorge:We should have immunities too.
Noah:No, it can affect anyone.
Josh:OK, I'm going to make a fortitude save.
Josh:All right, I have to select a token so I have a modifier.
Josh:I succeed.
Noah:you you
Tanner:Well.
Mike:I don't have anything to stop the succeeding by one.
Tanner:But is it a plant creature?
Tanner:All right.
Josh:Um, yeah.
Mike:He failed.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:While this is happening, I'll say into the cave to Lev, to Lev, hey man, we're alive, sort of.
Noah:I think we still have a fight if you want to come on out here and to help.
Noah:Please.
Jorge:Okay.
Noah:Are you alive?
Noah:Did you survive?
Jorge:I translocate over there.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:I have a lot of translocates.
Tanner:We're going to need hit points.
Mike:We're going to need a lot of points.
Noah:I can't heal.
Tanner:All right.
Jorge:Are we sure we can even... I thought we weren't going to be able to stop this thing.
Jorge:We just gotta, like... Okay.
Mike:That's what they told us before we started the fight.
Tanner:Something's coming back.
Tanner:Something's coming back.
Noah:Lev, can you back up like 35 feet?
Noah:Okay, I'll just give us all just a...
Jorge:Thank you.
Mike:I give everyone within 30 feet ice cream.
Noah:Exactly.
Noah:Okay, all of us get just a little bit of healing.
Noah:Just 14 points.
Tanner:All right.
Jorge:Give me one second.
Mike:Wait, I took no damage?
Mike:Oh, heal.
Noah:Lay on hands.
Jorge:Well, you guys are still going to be healing, right?
Jorge:So you're still fast healing.
Josh:Every round you're going to get another 20 points of health.
Mike:Yeah.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:We will say that you have until... You guys are fairly confident that you have until that buff goes away to prepare before this thing has recongealed.
Josh:So you will, over the course of the lifetime, get another 40 on top of the 40 that you've already got.
Jorge:So, we have four rounds, you said?
Jorge:I have Implements Assault, so I can attack everything within 30 feet of me.
Josh:you can try okay uh so roll attack twice well if you're doing two rounds that's two of them right okay
Jorge:I figured I could do that to at least cull it a little bit, or weaken it before it fully forms, because I can get a bunch at once.
Jorge:Just throw my sword out.
Jorge:I'll spend two rounds doing that, then.
Jorge:Should I just roll one attack?
Jorge:Alright.
Jorge:Yeah.
Noah:I think this pours off probably.
Jorge:No, no, no, no.
Tanner:I'm going to do something when Jorge is done.
Jorge:I'm going to X point vulnerability before the first one.
Josh:Um, sure.
Josh:That means I need to give you something to do in one second.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Or if you want, I can just make a roll.
Jorge:All right.
Josh:No, I'll give you a token.
Josh:Just give me a moment.
Josh:I'll give you a token.
Josh:God.
Jorge:Can any of you guys cast Divine Spells?
Noah:I got some Lay on Hands.
Jorge:Oh, that means you can't cast Divine Spells.
Mike:Thank you.
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:Oh.
Noah:Oh, that was not like Aftermind Spells.
Tanner:I can also cast Lay on Hands.
Noah:That was Can We?
Noah:Yeah, I can.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:So we have... Okay, so we're... Yeah, so I'm only spending two of my actions... Two rounds out of the four doing my attacks.
Jorge:I'm going to spend another round giving them.
Jorge:Sorry, let me grab my.
Jorge:I have a 10th level heal, and I have an 8th level heal.
Jorge:I have three 8th level heals.
Jorge:I give them to you guys.
Noah:Oh, nice.
Mike:okay i'll catch the 10th level heal i have to do a trick magic item check but i do it with my they don't have to oh then yeah you
Jorge:I'm not casting it.
Jorge:You guys are going to have to cast it.
Noah:Yeah, if you back up, I can cast it.
Noah:Oh, yeah, we should come out and dive, actually, and cast him.
Jorge:If you can cast divine, if you don't have to make it spell check.
Jorge:They don't have to.
Jorge:Because they're divine, yeah.
Noah:Oh, neat.
Noah:Then I'll just cast Lev.
Noah:Can you...
Noah:Drop them in there.
Noah:Are you so small now?
Jorge:Oh yeah, yeah, sorry.
Josh:Thank you.
Jorge:Yeah.
Noah:Oh, God.
Jorge:What came out of me?
Noah:I guess I'll roll a save against this heal.
Tanner:Jorge, are you the only one that can physically roll this spell?
Jorge:Oh.
Jorge:No, that shouldn't have happened.
Noah:Oh no, I failed the heal.
Josh:Why did you roll a save?
Noah:I don't know, there's a save against the heal, so I figured I'd roll it.
Mike:I want it.
Josh:Oh, okay.
Noah:Oh my gosh, there's a lot of... So many of these things.
Jorge:Yeah, Josh, are you able to put a 10th level heal that they can roll?
Tanner:I mean, or
Josh:Who's rolling?
Josh:Who wants it?
Noah:oh I think I'm the one casting it
Jorge:There's a 10th and then there's three level eights, but I don't know how many actions I'll get.
Josh:Who's casting it?
Mike:Oh, Dawn.
Mike:Well, yeah, I mean, I want the healing, but I think Dawn's going to be the one.
Mike:I don't know.
Josh:Okay, one second.
Jorge:All right, I have success.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:So, Dawn, you should be able to cast a 10th level heal now.
Noah:Oh, neat.
Noah:Where would that be?
Noah:Do I need to have... What if I just give myself a 10th level heal?
Josh:It's a spell, so I assume... Maybe it's not... You should already... I gave you a 10th level scroll of heal.
Noah:Let's see.
Josh:If you go into your inventory, there should be a scroll under consumables that you can click use on.
Noah:Oh, I do see it.
Noah:Neat.
Noah:Oh, do I have to trick magic item on this?
Josh:You shouldn't have to.
Noah:Well, it is.
Noah:It's making.
Noah:Oh, I guess not.
Noah:All right.
Noah:I'll do the three actions so everyone gets it.
Noah:Need to.
Tanner:All right.
Tanner:I will touch my... put my hand over my heart and speak the word lenity.
Tanner:And a wave of healing comes out and everybody, including Lev, gets 30 hit points.
Jorge:Oh, yeah.
Jorge:All right.
Noah:Okay.
Tanner:3-0.
Josh:So how many rounds has it been?
Noah:Okay.
Noah:We're getting one back.
Jorge:I'm also adding in Lev's fast healing that he has outside of this.
Jorge:Wait, no, no.
Jorge:That should be .
Mike:Uh... We can keep attacking.
Josh:I think it's been three at this point.
Josh:So you have one more round to do stuff.
Josh:if you like.
Tanner:I am going to do a battle medicine on Dawn.
Jorge:he only has a weak he has a weakness 20 to holy now
Noah:oh this was so much healing
Tanner:And give him 75 hit points.
Mike:What was the Deep's resistance to lightning damage?
Jorge:So the first burnt offering, this one, Josh, I just applied 21 damage because I missed, but not critically.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:This top one got that 56 plus the 20.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:I'm going to do... Before Divex runs, I'm going to do a Battle Medicine on him.
Jorge:And then... Alright, so I'll just do my last strike, and I'm going to
Josh:You gather that that isn't a whole lot of damage necessarily to the full entity, because there are so many pieces of it.
Josh:But you have definitely done some damage.
Jorge:I'm not going to group up with my friends because every time we group up and a new enemy shows up, they have a lot of fun with that.
Noah:You know what?
Jorge:So I'm going to stay over here.
Noah:I'm going to run a little bit.
Noah:I'll walk over here.
Josh:Hmm.
Mike:Yay.
Mike:I'm also not running.
Mike:I'm going to be hopefully doing damage.
Tanner:Okay, you can have 72 hit points.
Mike:That's so many hit points.
Tanner:I think I already battle medicine myself.
Mike:Now can I kill all these things?
Noah:Do it.
Noah:Take them out.
Mike:I am going to use the fabled
Mike:Second thing on the Codex of Destruction and Renewal.
Josh:Of course.
Josh:The fabled second thing.
Mike:The fable's second thing, which is... If your next action is to cast a damage-dealing evocation spell prepared from this grimoire, the spell wreaks even greater destruction.
Mike:The spell ignores ten resistance, and you reroll any damage dice that roll a one.
Mike:Blah blah blah, it's a death effect.
Mike:8th level chain lightning.
Josh:Nice.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:absolutely um i think so yeah critical failure
Tanner:Oh, Jesus.
Noah:Oh, no.
Tanner:Am I able to cast land hands on myself?
Tanner:Is that allowed?
Noah:Yeah.
Noah:I do it all the time.
Jorge:I got a 60 plus the weakness, and then I had two ones plus weaknesses, respectively, if that matters.
Tanner:All right.
Tanner:I'm just going to do that.
Mike:Brutal.
Mike:I roll damage once.
Josh:Yeah, you roll damage once and then it applies to everything.
Mike:Yes.
Mike:So there was, I think, only one one.
Mike:How do I...
Josh:There was only one 1.
Josh:Just roll a d12 and then we'll add it, basically.
Josh:Okay, so 69 points of lightning damage doubled to this particular offering.
Josh:Alright, we'll do the next one.
Josh:This time he got a 54 with evasion as a critical success.
Josh:So, one hit.
Mike:Son of a bitch.
Josh:You guys have evasion.
Noah:Gosh.
Josh:But you have done some additional damage to the mass here.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Has anybody else not taken their last action?
Josh:All right.
Tanner:But before you... How much health... Aside from the initial 20 that we got when we first respawned, how much fast... Cool.
Josh:You all... It's 60 additional on top of the 20 that you get when you respond.
Josh:It's 80 total from the codex.
Mike:This is what we should be adding?
Josh:I don't know if you've already added that health, but it is 80 total from 0 that you got from the Codex of Healing.
Mike:Okay.
Josh:Because it's regeneration 20 for 4 rounds.
Mike:I wasn't sure if you added that during the time in between.
Tanner:Alright, I'm ready to proceed.
Josh:Absolutely.
Noah:Let's do it.
Josh:You guys have your brief respite.
Josh:You've got like 30 seconds worth of just quickly just trying to patch things up after three of you got obliterated by a planet and one of you hung out with a janitor for a little bit.
Josh:Harrowing experience is all.
Josh:where you see that your attempts to at least chop down pieces of it seem to have done damage to this fungal mass as it rejoins back up.
Josh:But ultimately, there are... I mean, Foundry could handle thousands of tokens, but there are the equivalent of thousands of tokens spread throughout this area, re-merging, re-coalescing into a single...
Josh:facsimile, almost, of what used to be the deep now properly set on fire, flaming, squealing like the steam inside of it is evaporating and forcing itself out of the folds of its burnt fungal masses just by heat in the area around you.
Josh:I will...
Josh:Let's place him right here.
Josh:As he reappears, recongeals in front of you, and wants nothing more than to kill you for wiping all of the work that it's done since it awoke from the last time it died.
Josh:And with that, we will re-roll initiative.
Josh:You guys all have a plus two circumstance bonus.
Jorge:Why won't you stay dead?
Josh:Oh, I accidentally started the turn track one second.
Josh:Okay, you guys have a plus two circumstance bonus to this roll because you were prepared.
Mike:Is it plus two?
Tanner:I already had a plus two circumstance bonus.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Tanner:That's so sad.
Tanner:All right.
Josh:He does start injured.
Tanner:Good job, guys.
Noah:I rolled a nat 20 and Henrik still beat me.
Josh:It just happens sometimes.
Jorge:You have such a low perception, though.
Noah:I have such a low... I don't see anything.
Jorge:Actually, it's really not that low.
Jorge:I'm only three higher than you, but I guess I rolled really high, too.
Jorge:Okay, I rolled a 16.
Jorge:I was like, you only rolled one more than me, but that is what three plus one does.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Henrik, it's your turn.
Tanner:Alright.
Tanner:Well, nothing left to do but to keep swigging.
Josh:Absolutely.
Tanner:So I approach.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:And I strike.
Jorge:Do they have my mortal weakness attached to them?
Jorge:They should, right?
Jorge:Okay, cool.
Josh:They do.
Josh:That misses.
Jorge:Uh-oh, guys.
Jorge:We should run.
Noah:We got this.
Noah:We got this.
Jorge:A 49 misses.
Noah:We got this.
Mike:Be better.
Josh:Anything else?
Tanner:Yes, Josh, I have other things.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:I'm going to make a certain strike.
Josh:Absolutely.
Tanner:Oh my god.
Jorge:It shouldn't have been that one.
Josh:You did roll a two there.
Jorge:It should not have been that strike.
Tanner:Well, I rolled a 2.
Tanner:I mean, I could have... You know, something could have happened.
Tanner:Alright, I'll raise my shield.
Josh:Okay, absolutely.
Tanner:That sucked.
Josh:Okay, he despite being only eyes can be flanked
Noah:Yeah, I will... Oh, God.
Noah:I'll jog on over.
Noah:I'll take two actions to get on this guy's backside to flank with Henrik.
Tanner:Bye.
Noah:Nice.
Noah:And then... God, can I even hit this thing?
Noah:Do I have the ability?
Noah:I guess we'll find out.
Noah:I'll cast Sure Strike on myself.
Josh:Alrighty.
Noah:And then I'll try and punch it.
Noah:I don't know if I can physically hit this thing, but we'll try.
Noah:Nope.
Josh:That was two unfortunate rolls.
Josh:They do not hit.
Noah:That's all I got.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Lev.
Josh:Oh, I'm sorry.
Josh:Between Dawn and Lev, you guys will see some of the rocks from the atmosphere start to fall back down towards you.
Josh:So I'm just gonna... I'm just gonna... That was too big.
Josh:That was supposed to be 20 feet.
Noah:That's a big rock.
Josh:Please, sir.
Josh:20 feet.
Josh:Thank you.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Now it's upstream.
Jorge:Sorry.
Jorge:I only have one fifth level translocate, but I have three fourth levels.
Jorge:So I will use one of my fourth levels.
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:Actually, how far is this?
Jorge:Is this 40 feet?
Josh:Well, it's 80 feet.
Josh:Difficult terrain.
Jorge:Oh, OK.
Jorge:What if I flew?
Josh:If you fly, then it's fine.
Jorge:OK, can I just fly a foot off my movement speed?
Josh:Right.
Josh:What is your flying speed?
Josh:What is your movement speed?
Jorge:I think 30.
Josh:Okay, then yeah, if you want to spend the two fly actions, you can get there.
Jorge:I'll just do that.
Jorge:Can I use a hasted action?
Jorge:Oh, no, no, no.
Josh:Nope.
Jorge:My boots will be up.
Josh:That's for attacking.
Jorge:No, no, I have the boots of a, sorry.
Jorge:My boots should give me something.
Jorge:Boots of propulsion.
Jorge:I can use an extra action to stride, climb, or swim.
Jorge:Fly is not that, right?
Josh:None of those are fine.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:OK.
Jorge:So I'll just do this.
Jorge:And I will strike.
Jorge:Intensify vulnerability, weapon, and strike.
Josh:Yeah, that is a critical message.
Jorge:I cannot roll well tonight.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:One more strike.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:that miss okay absolutely is it one point of damage all right absolutely so that is 26 points of damage total uh that's the end of your turn yeah
Jorge:But I still do damage, because not a critical missed.
Jorge:So 1 plus 21.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Cool, cool, cool, cool.
Jorge:Yeah, so when I strike but I don't critically fail, I deal one damage of the weapon's normal type, possibly applying any bonus damage.
Jorge:That doesn't apply runes, right?
Josh:No.
Jorge:I assume not.
Jorge:OK, so yeah.
Josh:Yep, 26 points of damage.
Jorge:Oh, I have to heal.
Josh:It is its turn.
Josh:Why are you healing?
Jorge:Healing grace.
Josh:Lame.
Jorge:I have my own fast healing.
Josh:Lame.
Josh:I think I'm going to summon a Weapon of Judgment.
Noah:Oh, no.
Jorge:I'm not going to hit guys.
Josh:Yeah, go for it.
Noah:You got it.
Noah:You got it.
Noah:You got a crit.
Jorge:No!
Noah:Oh, what?
Josh:Once again, rolled poorly.
Jorge:Holy screw!
Josh:That does not hit.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Josh:You just need to roll higher than a three.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:It's your computer, Josh.
Jorge:I'm suspicious.
Josh:It's not.
Jorge:Oh, but I still do one point of damage, though.
Josh:No, that's a critical fail.
Jorge:Ow!
Josh:You do nothing.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:Um, Weapon of Judgment.
Josh:A Giant... You've seen the spellcast before.
Josh:This time it's a Giant morning star appears in the air above all of you.
Josh:Um...
Josh:and declares to all of you that if you attempt to use a hostile action against the Effigy of Sin or any of its allies, the weapon will strike you.
Josh:Just FYI.
Josh:And then I think it's probably going to attack Lev.
Jorge:OK.
Jorge:Can I use my ring of spell turning on that?
Jorge:Probably not.
Josh:No.
Jorge:I have to wait for it to hit.
Mike:I think you have to be... Yeah.
Josh:Yeah, because it's not targeted you yet.
Jorge:OK.
Jorge:I don't know why we didn't just leave.
Jorge:This thing's going to kill us all now.
Noah:Oh, we got it.
Noah:We... We got it.
Josh:I do hit you with a Radiant Ray of Energy.
Josh:You're going to Glimpse of Redemption me.
Josh:That's rude.
Josh:I'm still going to go through with it, so we will enfeeble.
Jorge:Or stupefy if he wants.
Josh:Right.
Noah:Yeah.
Josh:Would you prefer stupefied?
Josh:Okay.
Noah:I'm gonna stupefy this guy.
Josh:Let's undo the enfeebled.
Josh:Who did I apply the enfeebled to?
Josh:No one.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Stupefied.
Josh:Where is it?
Josh:There you are.
Josh:There you are.
Josh:It is now stupefied too.
Josh:Let's give the champion resistance to Lev.
Josh:Oh, you already had it.
Noah:Oh, I already did.
Josh:Okay, so I'll remove that.
Josh:And then let's roll damage.
Josh:40 points split between fire and spirit.
Josh:Yeah, right.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:13 points of damage.
Josh:Nice.
Josh:And then it has one action left.
Josh:I think it will summon an unholy greatsword made of fungal matter out of its body and then attack Dawn because you just glimpsed a redemption and that was rude.
Jorge:Was that a manipulate?
Josh:This is just an attack.
Josh:46, which just barely hits, I believe.
Jorge:Okay.
Noah:Yeah, that hits
Tanner:That's so tough.
Tanner:Hit by plus zero is my worst enemy.
Josh:You're going to take 54 points of damage split between Slashing and Unholy Spirit.
Josh:And that is the end of its turn.
Josh:Thanks.
Mike:So, take me through counteract checks.
Mike:Say I have something, an effect level 9, and I'm attempting to counteract an effect level 10.
Mike:Do you know what the DC would be for that counteract check?
Josh:The DC is the DC of the person that casts the spell if you're trying to counteract a spell.
Mike:We'll go for it.
Mike:I guess I have to prepare this.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:This is coming out of the...
Mike:Scaffold your magi.
Josh:Your counteract check is coming out of Staff of the Magi?
Josh:What are you doing that counteracts from the Staff of the Magi?
Mike:Yeah.
Mike:Dispel magic.
Josh:Oh, you're just doing dispel magic on it.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:It is a spell effect.
Josh:So what happens if you click the counteract button?
Mike:It rolls to counteract.
Josh:Oh, okay.
Josh:Cool.
Josh:Do that then.
Josh:49, I think, does beat the DC.
Josh:That's a success.
Josh:which means we can counteract it if it's 10 or less.
Mike:weapon.
Josh:So the weapon just fades from existence.
Josh:No more overturned mice.
Tanner:Wow.
Tanner:That's sick.
Mike:And I have two more actions, one of which will be... I don't imagine my chaos theory is still holding after I've died, and it's probably been a minute since I started.
Jorge:you
Mike:Oh wait, I have two actions.
Josh:Yes, very much so.
Mike:Yeah, let's see if this works.
Mike:I'm going to cast, well, not cast.
Mike:I'm going to use Entangled Shadow because it's not a spell.
Josh:Mmm, yeah.
Josh:Well, actually, you've already used it once.
Josh:Is there a restriction on how often you can use it?
Mike:I have not used Entangled Shadow.
Josh:Did you not use it on Kharkov?
Mike:No, no, you're thinking of Entangled Vendetta.
Josh:Oh, right.
Josh:This is the one where you make a buff Divex appear.
Josh:I forgot about that.
Mike:Yes.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Josh:Yeah, absolutely.
Josh:That works.
Josh:I haven't added it into Foundry, which I should have, but it's too late now.
Josh:Okay, absolutely.
Josh:So, yeah, make a strike against it using your magic modifier.
Josh:44, unfortunately, does miss.
Mike:I tried.
Mike:That's my turn.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:You guys are rolling poorly today.
Noah:Badly.
Josh:Yeah, what are you doing that for?
Jorge:Well, he has like a 50-something AC, so statistically.
Josh:Nobody's rolled above a 10.
Josh:Okay, it's Henrik's turn.
Tanner:Let's see if I can do it.
Josh:All right.
Tanner:I rolled a 10.
Tanner:Oh, but it hit this time.
Josh:It does, because he's flanked.
Tanner:Wow.
Tanner:Oh, I'll deal damage.
Tanner:How's that sound?
Josh:I would prefer if you didn't, but I know you must.
Josh:48 plus the additional 25, because he has still been needled for 73 points of damage.
Tanner:Yeah.
Josh:Stop.
Josh:I accidentally turned on the nun's log.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:You carve into him with your spikes and just bits of fungal viscera get launched off to the side and sizzle when they hit the ground.
Tanner:All right.
Tanner:Sweet.
Josh:It smells like portobello burgers.
Jorge:Oh.
Tanner:All right.
Tanner:I'll make a certain strike.
Josh:Absolutely.
Tanner:Whoa.
Josh:That's a crit.
Tanner:Oh, my gosh.
Tanner:That's crazy.
Josh:Wait, did I?
Josh:Let me see.
Josh:One second.
Tanner:Did I make a mistake?
Josh:No, you're fine.
Josh:You're totally fine.
Josh:I just wanted to see if I could somehow... I've changed the permissioning on the warp wave thing.
Josh:Can you roll on the warp wave table now?
Tanner:So, okay.
Tanner:I click... I see where there's the warp wave table.
Josh:Yes.
Tanner:in my little box.
Tanner:So I'm going to click that.
Tanner:It opens up a table.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:There should be a roll button in the bottom right of that table.
Tanner:Yeah, so when I click the Roll button, it says there are no available results which can be drawn from this table.
Josh:Do you see the eight results in the table?
Tanner:I think so.
Tanner:Yes, there are eight things here.
Tanner:Compendium, PF2E.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:Maybe I have to click this update button first.
Josh:Oh no, it happens even when I click roll now, which is weird.
Josh:One more second.
Josh:Okay, if you go into the top, do you see where there's the chat messages and encounters and all of that stuff?
Josh:Can you do the fourth from the right?
Josh:It says rollable tables.
Tanner:Pullable tables, warp waves.
Josh:If you click that there and then hit roll, what happens?
Tanner:It brings me, it opens up the same window.
Tanner:Yeah.
Josh:Right.
Josh:But if you hit rollable, does it also still say no results to pull?
Josh:Or whatever?
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Never mind.
Josh:I don't know what's happening.
Josh:Do it as normal.
Josh:We'll figure this out next campaign.
Tanner:All right, so I need to roll a d8, and then we need to consult Discord to see what 7 means.
Tanner:Why did my mouse just cut out?
Josh:Uh... A7 means he slowed one.
Noah:Oh.
Tanner:Darn it, he was already slowed one.
Tanner:All right, well, we take it.
Josh:He was not already slowed one.
Josh:That was a bunch of turns ago.
Josh:That's worn off by now.
Tanner:No, my frost rune would have slowed him, but that's okay.
Josh:Oh, okay.
Josh:I'm sorry.
Tanner:That's good enough.
Tanner:that was two actions with my third action I'm definitely going to raise my shield but what do I do with my fourth action this is like unprecedented
Josh:121 points of damage is considerable.
Tanner:I don't know.
Josh:Did you want to move him five feet away from you?
Tanner:No.
Tanner:I'm not sure that this is useful for anybody, but I'll do a cadence call to give everyone a hasted action.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:I kind of figured as much.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:Is it my turn now?
Jorge:Oh, no, no.
Josh:No.
Jorge:It's done.
Josh:So impatient.
Josh:Are you doing anything else, Henrik?
Tanner:No, everybody has an extra action to stride or strike.
Jorge:Oh, yes.
Josh:Well, it's a quick induction, so it doesn't stack with what you already have left.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:I know.
Josh:Come on, it's your turn.
Jorge:I was being nice.
Josh:Wow.
Jorge:You didn't have to make me an ass about it.
Josh:Well, it still applies to Divex.
Jorge:Yeah, I was just saying, yeah, I had to pipe him up.
Jorge:You didn't need to go, it doesn't affect you there.
Josh:Yeah, you're a fucking idiot.
Mike:Okay.
Josh:Stop getting excited for your friends.
Tanner:Holy crap.
Noah:Oh my gosh.
Tanner:Josh, that was crazy.
Josh:It wasn't me.
Josh:It was the Deep.
Noah:Oh, it's me.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:Yes.
Noah:I cannot hit this guy.
Noah:But I can use a dirty trick.
Jorge:Bye.
Noah:I will use my I will use my once per hour just the thing to use crafting instead.
Josh:Attempt a thievery check against its reflex DC.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Attempt a crafting check against its reflex DC.
Mike:You gotta play this out.
Mike:You gotta explain to me what this is.
Noah:I'm going to use a hero point to reroll this at Mythic.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:So you get an additional two.
Josh:What is the dirty trick you're pulling on the deep?
Noah:Oh my god, I rolled even worse!
Josh:You did.
Noah:Josh, can I use a third hero point on top of this?
Josh:No, that's not how it works.
Noah:Bummer.
Josh:A 46 against its reflex DC is a plus zero success.
Noah:So it is clumsy one for one turn as I loop into my bag of tricks and pull out several ball bearings and go, ball bearings!
Josh:Okay.
Mike:Whoa, whoa.
Josh:You chuck... Level 20, you're fighting, like, your third god, still chucking ball bearings out at him, and the Deep doesn't even know how to comprehend what just happened.
Jorge:Pocket sand.
Josh:The ball bearings do not in any way, shape, or form put it off balance.
Josh:It doesn't affect it at all.
Josh:It's just so stunned by the fact that somebody would just chuck some ball bearings at it that it's put a little bit off of its rhythm.
Josh:Ha!
Tanner:Well, this is the greatest inventor in the world.
Noah:Ball bearings!
Josh:That is true.
Tanner:So, the Deep thinks that there must be a catch, and so he's distracted.
Jorge:Delicious.
Noah:And then, while he is clumsy, I will cast for Flourish, Temporal Twin.
Noah:And I will give Lev a reaction strike.
Noah:Wow, this man is... Wow, this thing is clumsy.
Josh:Do not eat the reaction strike.
Josh:Unfortunately, you're still rolling terribly.
Josh:A 40 does not hit.
Jorge:You can demoralize if you want.
Noah:I have two actions left.
Noah:I have to use one of them to hit.
Mike:Wait, how did...
Josh:Or you can run.
Josh:I'm not saying you should.
Josh:I'm just saying that's an option available to you.
Noah:I have very good... Yeah, I guess I'll try and punch this dude for one action.
Jorge:Demoralize.
Josh:Go for it.
Josh:Go for a one-action punch.
Josh:Just barely misses, unfortunately.
Noah:My last action.
Noah:I guess I'll just try and swing again.
Noah:I don't think it's going to hit, but I'm running low on things.
Josh:Yeah, that's not going to happen.
Noah:Definitely doesn't hit.
Noah:That is my turn.
Josh:Okay, the meteors come crashing down, slamming into the ground there, just puncturing holes in the dirt.
Josh:Where you see that those impact sites are, you can no longer stand.
Josh:There is no ground there.
Josh:And I'm going to draw three more.
Tanner:Good thing Divex has an extra action to stride with.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:It is... It is Lev's turn.
Noah:oh
Mike:Oh, yeah.
Mike:I was thinking of something else.
Mike:I'm thinking of several things, actually.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:That's really upsetting.
Jorge:I clicked the evangelize action, and it didn't actually.
Jorge:Oh, there it is.
Jorge:I do this.
Josh:Okay, make a diplomacy check against his will, DC.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:And he's still stupefied.
Josh:He is currently stupefied, yes.
Josh:49?
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:You're sticking with it?
Jorge:I don't have anything else.
Josh:Oh, okay.
Josh:49 is the DC.
Josh:That is a success.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:Thank you.
Josh:Um...
Josh:So he is already stupefied two.
Noah:The other one ends pretty soon.
Josh:This doesn't do anything.
Jorge:Yeah, but now it re-ups it, though, right?
Josh:The other one ends on its turn.
Jorge:I assume the other one only runs out.
Noah:Cool.
Jorge:Ends after start.
Josh:So on its turn, it'll drop down from stupefied two to stupefied one.
Josh:Until your turn.
Josh:Okay, anything else left?
Jorge:Oh, I thought, so this doesn't last until the end of my turn?
Josh:It does.
Jorge:Yeah, because, sorry, his next turn, if I didn't do this, he would have been unstupefied.
Josh:Correct, and now he's dropping to stupefied 1, which is what I just said.
Jorge:Correct.
Jorge:OK.
Noah:If.
Jorge:Oh, I thought I critically seceded for some idiot movement.
Jorge:OK, cool, cool, cool.
Jorge:All right, and then I will, yes, yes, yes, yes.
Josh:No, no, no, you just barely regularly succeeded.
Josh:Sorry.
Jorge:So now I will do a little intensified vulnerability.
Jorge:I will then do I don't see demoralize here.
Jorge:So I don't see it in my action.
Josh:as an action.
Josh:I don't know if it's there by default, so I can add it once I open it.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:No, that's fine.
Jorge:I can just roll.
Jorge:Demoralize will be my intimidation.
Josh:Give me one second.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:You have to moralize.
Jorge:I don't know where that would be.
Jorge:I was clicking the action.
Josh:The demoralized action is the first action in your... You might have to, like, go away from the tab and go into it.
Jorge:I see drink blood's my first action.
Jorge:Ouch.
Jorge:No, yeah, I already did that.
Jorge:I'll just roll.
Jorge:Alright.
Josh:I just put it in the chat.
Josh:Just roll an intimidation check.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:I get a hero point.
Josh:True.
Jorge:And now I will strike him.
Josh:Anything else?
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:All right.
Josh:That's crit.
Mike:Thank you.
Jorge:Thank God.
Jorge:Finally.
Noah:Well, that's a lot of dice.
Tanner:Woo!
Josh:Nice.
Jorge:I will also need you to make some... So he's going to be taking a critical hit.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Yeah, yeah.
Jorge:Persistent.
Josh:Let me make a fort save.
Josh:He critically succeeds the fort save.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:So I will apply the persistent fire.
Josh:I will apply the persistent fire.
Josh:No?
Jorge:Is he immune to fire?
Josh:No, he's not.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:Let me just... I will apply persistent damage and then set it to... What is it supposed to be?
Jorge:I believe fire.
Jorge:2d10 fire.
Josh:I know, but 2d10.
Josh:2d10 fire.
Josh:Okay, I have applied the persistent fire.
Jorge:I'm going to use... I think that's it.
Josh:He is off guard.
Josh:He's already off guard.
Josh:And let's actually apply the damage, which is 165 points of damage.
Josh:Do you know what that means?
Jorge:He's bloody.
Noah:No.
Josh:He's bloodied!
Tanner:No, this one probably doesn't.
Noah:Oh, he's got a blade effect.
Josh:Yeah, of course he has a bloodied effect.
Tanner:Oh.
Josh:No, he definitely has a bloodied effect.
Noah:I think he actually heals us.
Josh:No, you cannot counteract this.
Jorge:Do it.
Josh:Don't ask.
Josh:That's not how you... I know you're thinking it, Jorge.
Jorge:Well, I was going to ask, can I use a free action for vision of death that I can use from my blindfold?
Jorge:It's a DC 37 will.
Josh:No, I mean, it happens after, because... Vision of Death is a two-action spell?
Jorge:I don't know if that'll go after before.
Jorge:OK.
Josh:Blindfold...
Jorge:But it's a free action from my dread blindfold.
Josh:Oh, you're not actually casting Vision of Death.
Josh:It just has the effect of DC 37 Vision of Death.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Okay, so that would apply first, before it does any of its stuff.
Jorge:Okay.
Jorge:DC 37 is kind of low for this guy, so.
Josh:So... Yeah, let me... Do I have to make a... We'll save.
Jorge:But he's stupid fun.
Jorge:Will.
Tanner:Thank you.
Josh:Well, absolutely.
Josh:He is stupefied.
Josh:But he critically succeeds.
Jorge:Yeah, I figured.
Jorge:All right.
Jorge:Carry on.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:There's this great shaking as an earthquake emanates out from this burnt deep remains.
Josh:The equivalent of a 9th-level earthquake.
Josh:You're all on the ground, except for Lev.
Tanner:Ugh.
Jorge:I'm flying.
Josh:No, you didn't fly this past round.
Jorge:I still have an action.
Josh:You're not flying anymore.
Mike:When you say equivalent of, is this a spell that I can counterspell?
Mike:Or is this an effect?
Josh:No.
Josh:No, I am using the effect of earthquake, but it is not earthquake.
Mike:Okay.
Jorge:Also, we decided we weren't playing with the flying rules earlier, remember?
Jorge:Because that would have been advantageous for us earlier.
Josh:Yeah, but you flew over to this position.
Jorge:I'm flapping.
Josh:You did not say you're staying in the air.
Jorge:It's burning on the ground.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:I would not have been on the ground.
Jorge:There'd be no reason for me to drop to the ground.
Josh:You're on the ground.
Jorge:There'd be no reason for me.
Josh:You didn't say that you were going to stay in the air, and it's only coming up for a show actively because this affects people on the ground.
Jorge:Why would I have dropped, though?
Jorge:I have to drop.
Josh:Why would you have stayed in the air?
Jorge:It's an action to drop.
Jorge:Because it's an action to drop.
Josh:It's not an action to drop.
Josh:It's not.
Jorge:That's how we played earlier today.
Josh:You flew over to that spot.
Jorge:Fine, I'll take the damage.
Josh:Because you were 120 feet in the air.
Jorge:Earlier?
Jorge:Yeah, and you said it had to be an action to drop.
Jorge:We're not doing it this game.
Jorge:It's fine.
Jorge:It's fine.
Jorge:I...
Josh:This is a different thing.
Josh:I'm not saying that you fell out because you didn't use it this round.
Josh:I'm saying it's because you didn't fly into the air in the first place.
Josh:You flew at ground level to avoid difficult terrain.
Josh:You were at no point actually in the air.
Josh:Regardless.
Jorge:I would say.
Josh:Regardless.
Josh:I need... I need all of you to make a reflex save, please.
Josh:Which is what I was actually looking for.
Noah:Oh no!
Josh:You can click the reflex button.
Josh:Henrik critically succeeds.
Tanner:I didn't even roll that high.
Josh:Dawn fails.
Josh:Divex succeeds.
Josh:Lev fails.
Josh:Divex, you take half damage.
Josh:Dawn and Lev, you take full damage.
Josh:It's 44 points of bludgeoning damage.
Josh:And just cracks form and rocks go flying.
Josh:And you watch as the one most affected by this emanation of just a tectonic shift is the Effigy of Sin.
Josh:Which splits in two.
Noah:Maybe he has half as much AC, though.
Tanner:Oh my God.
Tanner:Oh.
Jorge:Hopefully they're both burning, though.
Mike:Josh, can you take away my all damage 20 resistance so I can... It's okay if you can't.
Josh:I can, yes, one sec.
Mike:I'll just have it for the rest of the fight.
Josh:No, I've just removed it, you're fine.
Jorge:All right, I'll stand up then.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Typhix, you succeeded, so you should have only taken half damage.
Mike:Oh.
Josh:And now it's Lev's turn still.
Josh:You have one action.
Jorge:I stood up.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Wait, why did you stand up?
Josh:Why were you on the ground?
Josh:Oh, you failed, because you fell prone.
Jorge:Earthquake.
Josh:Right.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:You failed.
Jorge:Very unfortunate.
Josh:So, Don, I am going to give you the prone condition.
Noah:Oh no.
Noah:Oh no.
Josh:It is optimal.
Josh:You're fine.
Jorge:Even success, you think you're on the ground.
Josh:Oh, that's true.
Jorge:It's only critical success.
Josh:You're right.
Josh:Dive X, you're also on the ground.
Jorge:All right, it's my turn.
Josh:Still your turn, yeah.
Josh:Oh, right, no, you stood up.
Josh:It's the end of your turn.
Josh:It is that guy, and then on second, let me add this guy into the initial order.
Tanner:Whoa.
Josh:He's way up there.
Tanner:That's crazy.
Josh:It's this guy's turn.
Josh:Okay.
Noah:Good.
Josh:I think he's going to cast... Oh, wait, no.
Josh:This takes a minute to cast, so he's not casting that.
Josh:Ignore that.
Josh:I never clicked that button.
Jorge:He can.
Jorge:He really can.
Jorge:It'll be fine.
Josh:No.
Josh:He's not going to.
Josh:I have another spell I can use here.
Josh:Prismatic Shield.
Tanner:Whoa.
Jorge:Talk of opportunity.
Josh:Yeah, go for it before I apply the effect.
Noah:Good.
Jorge:It does not go through.
Josh:That hits.
Jorge:This is why I stood up.
Jorge:I didn't want to have any more minuses.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:That's a ridiculous amount.
Tanner:All right.
Josh:104 points of damage.
Josh:Not looking good, that one.
Josh:Okay, that was frustrating.
Josh:So I think it's going to try and punch you in the face.
Jorge:This doesn't have a concentrate.
Josh:Oh, wait, no.
Josh:It's going to wail of the betrayed.
Josh:It's going to let out an agonizing wail that invokes grief and a feeling of betrayal in those who hear it.
Noah:Anti-Badger.
Josh:You'll need to make will saves.
Jorge:Oh, okay.
Josh:This is not magic.
Noah:Well, it doesn't matter.
Josh:This has the auditory fear and mental traits.
Noah:Will.
Jorge:Oh, dope.
Jorge:Dope.
Mike:Mental, you say?
Jorge:I won't stop you.
Mike:What is my favorite earring?
Josh:I did, yes.
Mike:Oh, this is fun.
Tanner:I feel like I don't want to critically fail
Noah:uh you
Mike:This also will eat my reaction, which I wasn't going to use on anything.
Mike:Do I have a curious teardrop so I can just send this in the chat?
Jorge:Oh, yes.
Mike:Not in my equipment, but let's see.
Jorge:Does my skeptics defense succeed?
Tanner:I gotta use this hero point.
Josh:You got a 53.
Josh:What is that?
Josh:Attempt to counteract check using your intimidation modifier with a rank.
Josh:Counteract of 10.
Josh:That is a success on the save.
Josh:So... Yes, I think?
Josh:One second.
Josh:That's 10 and below the level of this effect.
Josh:Sorry, it's 11 and below.
Josh:The level of this effect is 11.
Josh:So that does successfully counteract.
Jorge:And it's stupefied one if it's not already.
Mike:Oh, how do I send this?
Josh:It is already because of the other thing you did, stupefied one, but it is still stupefied one.
Jorge:Yes.
Jorge:Yes.
Jorge:Stupid, stupid.
Josh:It's just making sure this guy stays stupefied.
Noah:Guys, please do it.
Mike:How do I send an item in the chat?
Josh:Uh, there should be, like, when you click on the icon, it should turn into a chat, like, bubble if you click on it.
Josh:Which, uh, which item are you trying to send?
Josh:Uh... Curious teardrop.
Mike:Curious teardrop.
Josh:Yeah, so on the left next to the name, if you click the...
Mike:Oh, I see.
Mike:So reflect emotions.
Josh:For everybody else.
Mike:So I received the plus four status bonus, blah, blah, blah.
Mike:My save was a crit success, but the teardrop will attempt to counteract of check of plus 36.
Josh:Oh, to reflect a copy back in the originator.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:You've had this earring in, you go to pull on it for the first time, and so the whole time that you're doing this, in your head you're hearing, oh, you finally called on me, I've been hanging out this whole time and you've never even used me, and I was kind of thinking that you weren't even going to ever use me, and that I was going to get destroyed when that moon fell on us, but then I didn't get destroyed when the moon fell on us, and then I thought maybe you would remember me, and now you're actually using me, and that's awesome.
Josh:Unfortunately, this is way too strong.
Josh:I cannot counteract the check, but, you know, you're fine.
Mike:That's okay, we tried.
Mike:Thank you.
Josh:Okay, so Henrik, did you reroll with the hero point?
Tanner:I did.
Josh:Okay, absolutely.
Jorge:I believe you have a plus... Okay, never mind.
Josh:Into a critical success.
Jorge:Cool.
Jorge:You should have a plus one for being in my regalia aura.
Josh:So... Dawn, you did fail with that 43.
Josh:So you are somehow the only one who failed this check, which is a bit unfortunate.
Noah:to that
Josh:You are frightened, too.
Josh:And so long as you are frightened, you cannot accept aid from your allies.
Jorge:He should have got a plus one for my regalia since it's mental.
Jorge:Would that have changed it?
Josh:No, unfortunately.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:So you cannot willingly be healed, Dawn.
Mike:Oh, that's what qualifies as aid?
Mike:Okay.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:Well, I mean, like, for these purposes, yes.
Jorge:Not the useless aid action.
Mike:Okay.
Mike:No, no, no.
Mike:I was gonna... I wanna buff us, and I just wanna make sure you can receive the buff.
Josh:Does it say willing creatures?
Noah:I don't want it, no, no!
Mike:Uh... It might just say allies.
Mike:Let's look at true target.
Josh:Is he still your ally?
Mike:Targets.
Mike:Targets, four creatures.
Josh:Yeah, no, so yeah, you could still apply it to him.
Josh:He could be like, no, I don't want it, and then you could still give it to him, so it's fine.
Josh:Okay, and that's unfortunately all of its actions, because it was slowed.
Noah:No!
Josh:It is no longer slowed, but that's the end of its turn.
Jorge:So it takes damage.
Josh:Diamond!
Josh:Oh, yes, it takes 14 points of damage.
Jorge:Fuck you.
Josh:Sorry.
Josh:It takes...
Josh:39 points of damage.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:Which is enough to straight up kill that one.
Josh:That one's gone.
Mike:Nice.
Tanner:Wow.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:I am curious, though.
Josh:Oh, I can't even roll... I just want to see if it would have... It would still be on fire.
Josh:Its corpse is still on fire.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:That makes...
Mike:Very nice.
Mike:So I will... I have four actions.
Mike:I will stand.
Mike:I will... I will stride.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:And that leaves me with two...
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:Does that leave?
Mike:It does leave me with two.
Mike:So... Flourish reduces a two action to one.
Mike:I can't cast two action spells, but I can cast one action spells.
Josh:Yeah, unless you have the metamagic to reduce the whatever, just by default.
Josh:You can cast one, two action, and then a one action spell is fine.
Mike:Perfect.
Mike:Everyone gets advantage on this last Effigy of Sin.
Jorge:Oh go.
Noah:Woo!
Josh:Nice.
Mike:And I get an eighth-level descent grade.
Noah:Woo!
Josh:Yeah, absolutely.
Mike:Prone.
Mike:I'm no longer prone.
Mike:I will remove that.
Jorge:That was not advantage.
Mike:I know.
Mike:I'm rolling two.
Jorge:Help.
Josh:Okay, I rolled very well I critically succeeded because you crit it's just a success Okay
Mike:Ooh.
Mike:All right.
Mike:dc46 basic fort safe so it's so it's just yes the battle of the crits half of that
Jorge:Very nice.
Noah:No.
Josh:Yeah, 36 goes up to 37?
Mike:Uh... 30... 38?
Josh:38?
Josh:Can I not do math?
Mike:Oh.
Josh:Yeah, you're absolutely right.
Josh:No, it's 38.
Josh:Yeah, it's 38 plus 25 for... I can't do this with my head.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:Mike, what is it?
Mike:38 plus 20... 63?
Josh:38 plus 25.
Josh:Okay, I'm just trusting you.
Josh:This guy's not looking good either.
Josh:I'm sorry, I need to step away again.
Josh:Talk amongst yourselves.
Mike:We'll kill him when he leaves.
Noah:is still standing how is this guy still standing i think i think kill him very yeah
Mike:I don't know, but the fact I still have an 8th level this deep into the fight I think is very funny, and I think it means we're probably going to kill him.
Mike:I have two 9th levels and a 10th left, so...
Tanner:We've got them right where we want them.
Jorge:Why are you holding on to a tent?
Mike:Because it's a dumb tenth.
Jorge:What are you waiting for?
Mike:Because it's a dumb tenth.
Mike:Technically, I have Cataclysm, but I can't use it because we're all standing next to him.
Noah:Thank you.
Jorge:You technically could use a cataclysm.
Mike:How?
Jorge:I think you can get him on the bottom right.
Mike:Oh, yeah.
Mike:Okay, now I could.
Mike:Before he was split, there was... That's fine.
Jorge:Yeah, you'd get Don, but now you can't.
Mike:Cataclysm next round.
Mike:Yeah, I have a highly situational pen.
Jorge:How are you guys going to get to the lighthouse?
Noah:I got one more rocket.
Tanner:with my legs.
Noah:Yep.
Noah:Going to run for a little bit.
Jorge:All right.
Tanner:I'm going to sprint there.
Tanner:I'm going to fly there very quickly.
Jorge:Over the Oregon?
Jorge:Well, you can fly.
Noah:I think we can all fly.
Jorge:Cat.
Josh:Alright.
Josh:Anything else, Dyvex?
Josh:No, right?
Mike:uh no that's it
Josh:Okay.
Josh:That brings us back to this effigy of Sam.
Josh:Who is also on fire.
Josh:Because the fire was applied before he split.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Well, he does heal 20 HP.
Josh:He's doing real well.
Josh:But he stopped getting up my carpet.
Josh:Thank you.
Josh:Um...
Josh:What's he going to do?
Josh:This would be very funny.
Tanner:Thanks.
Josh:Does this work?
Josh:One second.
Josh:Can I force somebody through this?
Mike:Excuse me.
Mike:What does that mean?
Noah:Oh, no.
Josh:Yes, I can.
Josh:He's going to cast Prismatic Sphere.
Jorge:No.
Jorge:I like the sound of it.
Mike:No.
Mike:Master's Counterspell.
Josh:What does that do?
Mike:It lets me burn a... It lets me... I mean, it's essentially just Counterspell, but...
Josh:You use your magic to disrupt it.
Josh:You're a prepared caster.
Josh:You can expend a prepared spell to counter.
Josh:Do you have this prepared?
Josh:You have to expend a prepared spell.
Mike:No, but I don't have to.
Josh:Any prepared spell.
Mike:Mm-hmm.
Mike:Yep.
Josh:What spell are you... That is a level 9.
Mike:Divinity Leech.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:Okay, so attempt the counteract.
Josh:You have a minus two penalty to this.
Josh:Because I do not think Divinity Leech is appropriate.
Josh:Counterspell to Prismatic Sphere.
Mike:Okay.
Tanner:Is that a caveat?
Tanner:You have to justify the spell?
Mike:Yeah, you do.
Josh:You get a minus two to the counteract check, but you can get rid of that if you can justify to the GM that the spell you're casting is similar enough to the spell that you're counterspelling.
Mike:But I wasn't going to try.
Josh:A39 is a failure, unfortunately, which means you do not counteract the spell.
Mike:Very unfortunate.
Mike:It happens.
Josh:Yep.
Jorge:Like how he says it happens as Lev's about to get thrown into a sphere.
Tanner:Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Josh:Yeah.
Tanner:Does he have to make a DC7 flat check because he's stupefied?
Tanner:Like this says?
Josh:Just one second.
Mike:Oh, he does, yeah.
Josh:You're totally right.
Jorge:Yes.
Mike:He can't cast it.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:I'm ruined.
Mike:Wait, wait.
Jorge:Fuck yes.
Mike:I get my Divinity Leech back.
Jorge:Yes.
Josh:Yeah, your counter egg didn't even have to go through.
Josh:Swear to fucking God.
Jorge:Yes.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:No prismatic.
Tanner:Man, whoever stupefied this guy is a genius.
Jorge:Ha ha ha ha!
Josh:I just wanted to pick somebody up and pull them through all seven layers of the wall.
Josh:But fine.
Josh:No.
Josh:Do I...
Tanner:He's just a little confused.
Josh:He's confused.
Josh:He's clumsy.
Josh:For some reason, whenever I touch somebody, it targets them now.
Josh:I don't know what I've done to do that.
Noah:Oh no.
Mike:Thank you.
Josh:But... Okay.
Josh:No, I didn't want to... There we go.
Josh:I think I'm just going to unsheathe my unholy greatsword and attempt to skewer Henrik.
Tanner:I love this game.
Josh:That is a crit.
Jorge:No, I don't Yeah He doesn't have to hit
Noah:Wait, have I used this this turn?
Noah:I truly cannot remember.
Josh:What is... Glimpse of Redemption you have not used this turn.
Noah:then he will continue to be stupefied too.
Josh:Is he enfeebled or stupefied?
Josh:Okay, he's stupefied too.
Noah:I think I gave Henrik the resistance.
Mike:Thank you.
Josh:Always, always stupefied.
Josh:Right.
Josh:Okay, Henrik, you're 22 resistant to this.
Tanner:I see a thing.
Josh:That is 110 points of damage split between slashing an unholy spirit minus the 22 that you get from the glimpse of redemption.
Tanner:That hurts pretty bad.
Tanner:That hurts the team.
Josh:And the stupefy is re-upped.
Josh:I think...
Tanner:Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Tanner:Hold on.
Tanner:I'm going to do a thing, too.
Josh:Okay.
Mike:Oh.
Tanner:I'm going to use my reaction to activate one of the abilities of the Laurel of the Empath.
Tanner:When you're hit by an attack, you take half damage once per minute.
Josh:Nice.
Tanner:So I'm going to undo this and then click the half instead.
Jorge:Delicious.
Josh:Good move.
Josh:I reloaded so that I could interact with the UI in a way that isn't targeting somebody to attack.
Josh:So give me a second while it loads back up.
Josh:But the next step here is to attempt to... Do I focus fire on Henrik?
Josh:Or do I go for Dawn because Dawn is being annoying?
Noah:Hey, man.
Noah:Guy.
Josh:Dawn is frightened, so it's easier to hit him.
Noah:Be cool.
Josh:So I think I'm going to go for Dawn.
Noah:I think I'm prone, too.
Jorge:But Lev's been a real pain in his tushy as well.
Noah:I think I'm still on the ground.
Josh:I'm short.
Noah:I am prone.
Josh:What?
Noah:I'm still prone.
Josh:Oh, yeah.
Noah:Don't just lay on the ground screaming.
Josh:You're prone, which makes you even easier to hit.
Josh:I'm absolutely going for you.
Josh:I should have gone for you first.
Tanner:Thank you.
Jorge:I unfortunately don't have any more reactions because I used both on the other one.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:What did I roll here?
Josh:A 9?
Josh:And I hit by 4?
Noah:Mm-hmm.
Josh:Yeah, I'm not gonna... I'm just rolling damage.
Jorge:I don't like how he's contemplating doing something like a hero point.
Jorge:Whatever that is.
Jorge:Alright.
Josh:I'm just rolling damage.
Noah:Right.
Noah:He's going to use a villain point.
Josh:56 points of damage.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:And that was all of the actions that it has.
Mike:Yay.
Josh:He's on fire.
Noah:Okay.
Josh:He takes the fire damage.
Josh:Oh, sorry.
Josh:It's not just 12.
Josh:It's plus an additional 25 because he's vulnerable to fire.
Josh:Because he's vulnerable to everything.
Josh:He rolls a recovery check.
Josh:He recovers!
Josh:This one's not on fire anymore.
Tanner:That's a shame.
Tanner:That's a shame.
Josh:Now it's Henrik's turn.
Tanner:All right.
Mike:Get him, boys.
Tanner:Is this HP bar up here still accurate, or is that not really related to him anymore?
Josh:Can you see the HP bar has gone away from me?
Josh:I can't see it.
Jorge:I see it.
Noah:Oh.
Tanner:Oh.
Josh:One second.
Mike:Oh, now it's gone.
Jorge:It's gone now.
Mike:You took it away.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Let me, let me... Let's do that.
Tanner:All right.
Josh:That's not clear.
Mike:Don't forget, Tanner, you have advantage on this attack.
Tanner:Oh, wow.
Tanner:Whoa.
Josh:You do have advantage on this attack.
Tanner:All right, let's keep higher.
Tanner:How's that sound?
Josh:Fine, I guess.
Tanner:I've hit him critically.
Josh:That is... Oof, you rolled a 19 to 1.
Tanner:All right.
Noah:Hmm.
Josh:This could kill him, depending on how much damage you do.
Josh:I think he's okay.
Josh:Let's do a fort save.
Josh:That's a critical success.
Josh:You haven't slowed him from the frost rune.
Tanner:All right, let's roll a d8.
Josh:Do your warp wave.
Tanner:It's a 3.
Josh:Three is... He's dazzled!
Noah:Oh, he's bedazzled?
Tanner:How come?
Jorge:Yeah.
Noah:He's covered in rhinestones.
Josh:He's bedazzled.
Josh:All creatures and objects are concealed, so now if he wants to make an attack on you, he has to roll a flat check.
Jorge:If you want to make a spell, there's also a flat check.
Josh:He also has to roll a flat check.
Josh:Great.
Josh:And now let's actually apply the 105 damage.
Josh:He is still standing, floating, amoeba-ing, but he's not looking good.
Tanner:Alright.
Tanner:Alright.
Josh:He's teetering on the edge there.
Mike:I would have run away.
Mike:If I got hit by a meteor mid-fight, I would have run away.
Mike:I'm just saying, I'm not calling him an idiot or like a moron or anything, but... I would have waited.
Jorge:Well, he didn't really have a chance.
Jorge:We saw him reforming and we're like...
Josh:Yeah, I... Immediately.
Josh:You chunked, like, 200 HP off of him before he even showed up again.
Noah:Mm-mm.
Josh:Like, collectively, with all of your attacks.
Tanner:Yeah.
Mike:I'm just saying, I would have... I would have made these mistakes.
Tanner:I'm going to make a certain strike.
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:I've missed.
Josh:That misses.
Tanner:So he takes 20 damage, I think.
Josh:20 damage.
Josh:So even on a miss, you're still dealing 45 damage to this guy.
Noah:Wow.
Tanner:Yeah, because I get to add 20.
Josh:He is still around.
Tanner:Oh, no, no, no, no.
Jorge:Bye.
Tanner:I'm sorry.
Tanner:Do I have regalia damage right now?
Josh:Oh.
Josh:You do.
Tanner:Okay, so it's 20, yeah.
Josh:Okay, so he is present.
Josh:He is hanging on by a thread.
Mike:I cut the thread.
Tanner:Hmm.
Josh:What?
Mike:I cut the thread.
Josh:Listen, he is currently at the point where it looks like his body is struggling to spend the energy just to stay together.
Josh:You gather any amount of damage would sever that last piece of thread that's keeping it together.
Tanner:I guess we'll try this.
Josh:Ah, yes, of course.
Josh:The Yamaraj's Grandeur.
Josh:Absolutely.
Noah:And a classic Henrik move.
Tanner:I call upon the magic of Udacil within me, and this says that it's insects, but we're gonna flavor it as thorny needles to match my Duskwalkers.
Jorge:He's dead.
Tanner:patterns, he has to make a basic reflex save.
Josh:I rolled very poorly, which means that somehow that was a failure.
Tanner:Wow!
Josh:His evasion doesn't even help, because I failed.
Tanner:Oh my god.
Jorge:We're killing him with this.
Noah:This is how we...
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:This is... Please, for all of us, describe what happens as you kill the deep.
Tanner:So...
Tanner:Alright, listen, I have used this before.
Tanner:This is not my first time using this ability.
Tanner:Anyway...
Josh:Okay.
Tanner:So I once again reached my hand kind of towards my chest, and I feel the connection to Udacil, the connection to this realm, this sphere that we're in.
Tanner:And I just yell out, like, leave Althane alone, and thrust my arms out, and all of my thorny-looking Duskwalker markings that have slowly creeped down my arms and up my neck throughout the campaign.
Tanner:Just shoot out a bunch of big old cone of thorns and vines and just shred them.
Noah:used it in that used it in episode 124 it was a filler episode so no one saw it but he did use it
Josh:absolutely first attack in this whole campaign was Henrik skewering a guy with some spikes last attack is Henrik skewering a guy with some spikes
Jorge:This would piss someone off in an anime.
Jorge:It's like, what the fuck?
Jorge:Where did he even get this fucking thing?
Jorge:He ran out of shit.
Jorge:He pulls this out.
Jorge:What the fuck?
Josh:He explodes as the thorns propelled out by Henrik just jab into the last bits of fungal fibrous material, and he gets spread to... not very far, honestly, because you've broken him up enough that whatever pieces that hit the ground immediately burn up into soot.
Josh:He's dead.
Josh:You have...
Josh:after, I guess, two-ish phases, killed him.
Jorge:Run to the lighthouse.
Noah:We run late.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:So you all have movement abilities and the like, so I'm not particularly worried about you taking the nine and a half minutes you still probably have around in order to get back to the lighthouse, unless you were planning on lollygagging, I suppose, on the way over.
Mike:I do search the body.
Josh:No lollygagging?
Tanner:Yeah.
Josh:Okay, there's nothing to search.
Josh:You vaporized him.
Jorge:I love how slowly our characters move when you move them.
Jorge:So, like, Lev has just slowly moved off screen.
Josh:You're making your way.
Josh:You'll get there eventually.
Josh:It's happening.
Josh:The door to the White House is open.
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:It is not blocking you in the same way that it was preventing the Deep or Kharkov or whatever was left of him.
Josh:He was... Which...
Josh:The time that you managed to get the, like, stun off was fantastic, because if the moon were to land when he still had actions, he was going to protect himself with Kharkov, which would have increased the health he had going into the next phase.
Josh:But because he was stunned, he couldn't do that, which is terribly rude of you.
Josh:Either way, you all walk into the lighthouse.
Josh:This is familiar to most of you.
Jorge:This is my friend, Ito.
Josh:What?
Jorge:This is my friend, Ito.
Josh:The janitor does not appear to be present right now.
Josh:You're just still empty stairway.
Jorge:Oh.
Tanner:Excuse me.
Josh:there's really only one way to go in the lighthouse, and that is up from the staircase up to where, once upon a time, two of you in this party came across a Giant resonance crystal in a memory from Grimm.
Josh:So you are like weirdly deja vu-esque as you walk up in that it feels marginally familiar to you as you make your way up here until you get to
Josh:Once again, a familiar spot.
Josh:There are... You go up about three stories.
Josh:As you're going up, you hear humming that gets louder as you navigate your way up the stairs.
Josh:Lev would recognize the humming as coming from the person you met earlier.
Josh:It sounds like his voice.
Jorge:I'm holding on.
Jorge:I got more vodka and I brought my friends.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:You guys make it up to the top landing of the lighthouse, which does look familiar.
Josh:Hanging above you is a Giant 20-foot-tall, by the looks of it, resonance crystal.
Josh:That light is actively shining out of this time as the beacon rotates in the lighthouse itself.
Josh:creaky wooden flooring.
Josh:There is a very threadbare, by the looks of it, kind of dining room set, like a wooden table and some chairs next to it.
Josh:Looks like it was built by hand a long time ago and has not really...
Josh:Time has not been the kindest to it.
Josh:It does not look super fancy and well put together like you might expect from an ancient, hyper-powerful magic artifact like the lighthouse.
Josh:On the back wall, there are five doors labeled 101 through 105.
Josh:You have seen those before.
Josh:And mopping the floor...
Josh:humming a little bit to himself is that uh elderly um elderly blue-skinned man um not really like paying attention to his surroundings despite the fact that
Josh:Literally 60 seconds ago, a moon fell around the lighthouse.
Josh:The lighthouse is completely unscathed, like flows of lava around it.
Josh:But the lighthouse itself, if anything, looks better than it did before because it burnt all of the fungal growths on it away from the deep.
Josh:you know, just regularly you need to chuck a moon at your lighthouse, make sure it's clean.
Jorge:Oops.
Josh:But he will stop humming when you yell up the stairs that you've brought your friends and some vodka, and he will wait for you guys to come up.
Josh:He uses the mop that he's using kind of as like a walking cane type thing, just something as support that he's leaning on.
Josh:And he says, you have made quite a mess.
Josh:Take a seat.
Josh:I have coffee that you can mix with your liquor.
Jorge:Love to.
Jorge:Thank you.
Jorge:By the way, sorry.
Jorge:Do I pronounce it Ito or is it like an acronym or should I just not?
Jorge:Ito.
Jorge:Ito.
Mike:Yeah.
Jorge:Ito.
Josh:It is not your tongue.
Josh:It is fine.
Josh:You can call me whatever you like.
Jorge:I'll call you Mr. E if that's alright.
Jorge:Oh.
Josh:It is fine.
Josh:Not technically a mister, but I will take it.
Josh:Happier to be heard than to be seen, you know?
Jorge:Lord D?
Josh:And do you guys take a seat?
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:When you sit down, there are mugs in front of you.
Josh:They weren't on the table before, but when you take a seat, they are there now.
Jorge:I'm passing around a flasker and I put a little mine in.
Josh:There is also, at the same moment that your mugs appear, or appear is the wrong term, because it implies that if you were looking at the table while you were sitting down, you would see them come into existence.
Josh:It's less that and more that when you sat down, it's retroactively true that they were always there.
Josh:Um, and on top of that, there is a, uh, like blue thermos with the cap popped open, uh, and the very fragrant smell of actual coffee coming out of it that you're welcome to drink or mix into your alcohol or just leave it there.
Jorge:I'm doing both.
Noah:Yeah.
Mike:Can I identify it?
Josh:Uh, yeah, you can.
Josh:Um, as you start, it takes you six seconds to cast identify, right?
Josh:Or something along those lines.
Josh:It's very fast.
Mike:I think I can do 10 items.
Mike:Am I able to do 10 items in action?
Mike:I don't know.
Josh:Okay, well, so you start performing the, like, identify magic, and Ichito will say, It is just good coffee.
Josh:And you will finish the identification.
Josh:There's nothing magical about it.
Josh:It's just a thermos.
Mike:I'll be the judge of that.
Mike:If it's really good coffee.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:It's not.
Josh:It's kind of over-brewed.
Mike:Oh.
Noah:Yeah, what... What a... Take a sip.
Josh:It's weirdly acidic, if you've ever had coffee like that.
Josh:It's not fantastic.
Josh:It does the job, though.
Jorge:Lev is like hunching over his coffee just like man that was fucking crazy gentlemen he's been a wild couple months with you guys I will say
Josh:It doesn't heal you or anything.
Josh:It's not magic.
Mike:That was...
Tanner:Yeah, we get out to some strange business.
Noah:Look over at Ito.
Noah:Not going to deal with that right now.
Mike:Thank you.
Josh:No, I am a janitor.
Noah:What are you guys going to do now?
Noah:I mean... Are... Are you the lighthouse?
Jorge:I think this gentleman is about to tell us something.
Jorge:Are you a Thessian, sir?
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:No, this is the lighthouse.
Noah:But you just work here?
Jorge:He's not...
Josh:I am here.
Josh:I am along for the ride.
Josh:Sometimes the Call of Acty create a mess, and I go and I clean it up.
Noah:Who are you?
Josh:Roll... I would like everybody but Lev, because Lev wasn't there, to roll a lore check.
Josh:You have met this guy before, and I'm just curious to know if you would remember it.
Tanner:We've met Ikto.
Jorge:Oh, I'm guessing I know where he's from.
Josh:Yeah, unfortunately Liv wasn't there, so... Pick your highest lore if you have multiple and roll that.
Jorge:I don't want to say it.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:Where is lore?
Mike:Oh, okay.
Noah:Oh.
Jorge:Ooh, 20!
Mike:Ooh.
Josh:Absolutely.
Josh:Okay, so Divex does recognize this guy.
Josh:He gave you the keys.
Josh:to escape the sound stage the last time you passed through the lighthouse.
Josh:If you recall, when you were caught in that loop, he was the janitor that gave me the keys.
Mike:This was who Divex talked to.
Mike:Nice.
Noah:He's the janitor of the lighthouse.
Josh:He's just the janitor.
Josh:He's in the lighthouse.
Josh:He's cleaning stuff up.
Jorge:Does Lev think his lighthouse navigation abilities work here?
Jorge:Does he recognize these doors, or is it different?
Josh:So Lev would know that he can use these doors as a way to get into other parts of the lighthouse.
Josh:Iftar will say, you're all welcome to stay here as long as you like.
Josh:I will say, the lighthouse wants for the choppy water, and because of you, the water outside is perky and still.
Josh:It is time to move on.
Jorge:Where are you?
Noah:The light is moving on.
Josh:Yeah, there is not much reason to stay anymore.
Josh:So it is time to go somewhere new.
Jorge:So where is it going?
Noah:Oh.
Jorge:Do you know?
Josh:Wherever it wants.
Mike:An area with a higher concentration of higher kind.
Jorge:Yeah.
Josh:Probably, but I do not tell it where to go.
Josh:I just, I am here, and it goes, and then I am there.
Jorge:Are there any other people that work here, or is it just you?
Josh:No, it's just me.
Josh:I've been here as long as I've been needed.
Jorge:How long have you been here?
Tanner:How did you end up here?
Mike:Doesn't help us.
Noah:And.
Tanner:What does it mean for us that the lighthouse is leaving?
Josh:For you?
Josh:Nothing.
Josh:It tells me you can still use the anchorways as you please.
Josh:The lighthouse's reach isn't leaving.
Josh:It's just the central body.
Josh:It is time to go somewhere new.
Tanner:Hmm.
Tanner:will still be within its purview.
Josh:Correct.
Josh:It does say this is option available for you.
Josh:If you like, it could...
Josh:take off in.
Josh:Just, you know, take off in and then separate it.
Mike:And.
Josh:Like, big prison, but of choice.
Jorge:Quarantine off him.
Josh:Sorry?
Jorge:Quarantine off him.
Josh:Yes, as such.
Josh:Guarantee protection from outside the world.
Josh:Nothing greater than Lighthouse.
Noah:Can we, would we ever be able to escape that?
Josh:He could.
Josh:But he points at Lev.
Josh:This is voluntary.
Josh:You haven't become a big issue.
Josh:Lighthouse doesn't hate you.
Josh:It's just a form of protection.
Josh:If you say no, you say no.
Josh:If you decide three centuries in, it is time to go.
Josh:It is time to go.
Josh:It is not actual prison.
Josh:It is more protection by hiding.
Josh:Like what you currently do, but much better.
Noah:I think we'd like that.
Jorge:I have to say, this lighthouse is fantastic.
Tanner:Yeah, that's a very kind thing to do.
Josh:It is invented to you.
Jorge:Out of this.
Josh:You all built it.
Josh:The carcass?
Noah:Question.
Noah:Could you quarantine us, but not the 13th realm?
Josh:Sure.
Noah:Yeah, you know, stick that somewhere else.
Noah:Let all things be all things.
Josh:That's fine.
Josh:Absolutely.
Jorge:There's no fucking, if there's any fucking survivors or robots, Don's just like, no, don't want it.
Jorge:Don't want any of that fucking shit.
Josh:Yes.
Noah:Okay, they can go somewhere else.
Josh:If you have people you don't like, we could exclude one by one.
Jorge:No, no.
Noah:We'll get back to you.
Mike:You said we built the lighthouse?
Jorge:Well, well, well, the lettuce.
Josh:Yes.
Jorge:We are members of, we were the original group, remember?
Mike:No, but how direct, I mean.
Josh:Yes.
Josh:You all built the lighthouse.
Josh:Once upon a time, the big Sondheim ship
Josh:Shoa, it worked with, you know, the Thessians to prepare, build the lighthouse, make the whole thing to capture the Dark Bramble.
Josh:Dark Bramble come, there's a big fight, everybody dies.
Josh:Santham gets the whole memory wipe, you do your whole loop-de-loop-de-loop-de thing, and the lighthouse stays.
Josh:But originally, it built the lighthouse.
Mike:Okay.
Josh:Everybody on Altheid built the lighthouse at one time.
Josh:But, you know, however many cycles ago, it's less winter snow.
Mike:Sure.
Jorge:Are you saying that... Go ahead, Tom.
Noah:Oh, I would just like to throw in the crystal point lattice along with the... Just kind of toss it out in space.
Jorge:Yeah, I would like that quarantined.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:Does not matter to me.
Jorge:And also those quarries that were coming in.
Jorge:That'd be great.
Jorge:Not mine or Lev Mir, the illegal interrupters.
Josh:Yes.
Josh:You already said the crystal point lattice.
Josh:We've got that covered.
Noah:Oh.
Jorge:Oh, those are part of the Crystal Point letter.
Jorge:That's crazy.
Noah:Terrifying.
Jorge:Question for the Lighthouse, if you know this answer.
Noah:Someone else's problem now.
Jorge:How does it feel about, like, is it trying to save the whole galaxy?
Jorge:Is that why it's quarantining?
Jorge:Is there a reason?
Josh:It is trying.
Josh:It was built to quarantine power.
Josh:So it quarantines power.
Josh:You don't ask a scissor why it cuts.
Jorge:That is fair.
Tanner:That's deep.
Mike:Yeah, definitely
Tanner:I guess we accept for now, right?
Tanner:I mean, geez.
Jorge:Oh, yeah.
Noah:Oh, so we got to get out.
Josh:All right.
Jorge:I'm going to start the religion about this, Latos.
Josh:It is done.
Jorge:Damn, this is great.
Josh:the lighthouse is leaving.
Josh:So... No, you can stay if you like.
Jorge:That's fair.
Josh:It would be difficult to get people to stop praying to the thing now that it has left.
Jorge:Oh, yeah.
Josh:I'm janitor, not co-leader.
Josh:You can do what you want.
Jorge:All right.
Mike:We have some duties to tend to on Althane, you know, making sure that the place doesn't kill itself.
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:You guys don't want to see where it goes first?
Noah:Can we get back to it?
Noah:Now that you said that, as long as we can get back to Althein, do you kind of want to see what happens?
Jorge:Yeah, I can get the stack.
Mike:Yeah, how long will it take the lighthouse to get where it's going?
Mike:And how long will it take us to get back to Althane?
Josh:Well, yeah, not long to move and then you could walk back through the anchor ways to get to Olven.
Mike:Okay.
Noah:I mean, we saved Althein.
Noah:I think we deserve a vacation.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:At least a week or two.
Jorge:The bats in our group.
Jorge:Like... We can workshop the name.
Noah:I'll pull out... I'll pull out what I've been working on for Lev.
Josh:With that.
Jorge:It is... It is the Beacons Against Tyranny Society.
Jorge:But you guys can... Oh!
Noah:I'll pull out what I'm working on for Lev, and it's a... I'll take a sword and put on a little crossguard that looks like a bat.
Jorge:Can you get me... Can you get me like a cloak and like a bat hat and then like a belt so I can put all my stuff and then I could...
Tanner:Oh, no.
Jorge:go around spheres helping the people that need to... Okay, we'll workshop this.
Jorge:We got some time.
Noah:Or a translator.
Jorge:That's going to become literal Batman.
Tanner:Horrible.
Tanner:So horrible.
Jorge:So yeah, I guess we're going for the ride and then we're going to take a little vacation and come back.
Noah:Yeah.
Mike:yeah well well
Josh:It's called isolationism.
Jorge:Illyar is going to get so fucked up.
Jorge:And you know what?
Jorge:They can figure that shit out.
Jorge:All those fucking Archmages can do something for once.
Jorge:I don't know what the fuck they've been doing.
Jorge:They didn't fight Oresk.
Jorge:They didn't fight the Feet.
Jorge:They didn't fight the Deep.
Jorge:They didn't fight Nox.
Jorge:They didn't fight Peace.
Jorge:Fuck those guys.
Jorge:They can figure it out.
Jorge:And you know what?
Jorge:If they don't figure it out, we're gonna go and we're gonna fucking murder them.
Jorge:But that's fine.
Mike:Well, technically they did.
Mike:And Divex pulls out his professor card.
Mike:Technically... I think there's a lot of casualties.
Josh:That's right.
Tanner:That's true, yeah.
Noah:I just wish I could look on the 13th realm or on Udon and all their faces when not only did we destroy their power source, we're about to blip them out of their pet project.
Josh:The... The...
Tanner:Who even knows what state they're in right now after crashing into... Sir, can you tell us about the state of the 13th Realm right now?
Noah:And they can...
Jorge:I think they're dead.
Jorge:I think they're all gone, but.
Jorge:Hey, Mr.
Tanner:I mean, did it get absolutely wrecked by that crash?
Josh:Most of it is broken.
Josh:There are still people walking around, but I don't know.
Josh:There's this memory cell area completely destroyed.
Josh:As it turns out, fragile, supposed to stay in space, not supposed to hit planet really hard.
Mike:Oop.
Tanner:Well, there goes that.
Josh:So, you know, that's unfortunate.
Josh:It was a good piece of machinery.
Josh:Like, you know, well run, but it's gone now.
Jorge:yeah hey by the way do you guys have access uh to the uh okay home world just wondering if you guys have access good to know okay yeah we'll take the scenic way back afterwards
Josh:You want to go to orbit upon light?
Josh:Yes.
Josh:All right, you coming along for the ride?
Josh:Okay.
Jorge:And I don't travel for free, and I pick up if there's any cleaning supplies to help out.
Josh:And he... Yeah.
Jorge:I think this...
Josh:OK, I mean, I already mopped this floor, but you're welcome to do it again.
Josh:That's fine.
Josh:And he kind of pats the console that controls the beacon.
Josh:And then nothing happens.
Josh:And he says, OK, we've moved.
Noah:Like a window we can go?
Jorge:I think this is like a super done machine.
Noah:Go look out the window.
Josh:You have to go down the stairs a little bit or climb up the ladder to the resonance crystal to look out the windows that the beacon light comes out of.
Josh:But there is definitely a window that you can look out of.
Josh:Roll a perception check.
Tanner:I'll do it.
Tanner:Oh, I made it a secret.
Mike:So terrified for the area that we end up in.
Jorge:Do it.
Jorge:Do it.
Jorge:Lev's going to take off his blindfold before he walks around.
Tanner:Josh, I'm so sorry I made it a secret.
Jorge:That's an artifact that activates.
Josh:The delete button and the reveal to everyone button are right next to each other.
Josh:I almost just trashed them.
Tanner:I'm glad you kept it because I beat Dybex.
Josh:Which is the most important part.
Mike:Fuck you, dude.
Jorge:It's just like...
Mike:Thank you.
Jorge:It's actually beating fast because of all the caffeine.
Josh:What sucks is you're all so good at perceiving that just by default you all hear Divex's heartbeat, so you've probably tuned it out at this point.
Noah:ah portal
Josh:Okay, 47 perception check, looking out like... Portcullis is the wrong term.
Josh:What do you call a window in the side of a ship?
Mike:The porthole?
Tanner:Porthole.
Josh:Thank you.
Josh:Looking out the porthole, like on the side of the lighthouse.
Josh:At first, it just looks like nothing.
Josh:Just black.
Josh:It takes a little bit for your eyes to adjust because you're inside a lit room and now you're looking out into...
Josh:Space.
Josh:Just empty space.
Josh:The lighthouse kind of rotates a little bit as it does so, as if to give you a better view of where you are.
Josh:And you can see that you are on the outside of what looks to be a Giant white sphere.
Josh:I think academically, some of you might understand what a crystal sphere looks like.
Josh:None of you would have been in the position to see it yourselves.
Josh:So this is the first point.
Josh:It is hard to get like a general sense of size because there's no landmarks here of size that you actually could reference it to.
Josh:So it just looks like a big white marble.
Josh:And then you don't feel anything inside the lighthouse, but you watch as a anchor shoots off of the lighthouse, slams into the crystal exterior, and goes right through, opening up a crack in it.
Josh:And then you watch as the whole lighthouse descends into the crack that it made.
Josh:Um...
Josh:You find the lighthouse lowering itself down onto a regular planet, for lack of a better term.
Josh:It's got blue oceans.
Josh:It's got green land.
Josh:It's got normal cloud cover.
Josh:You're not, like, immediately hit with any weird lightning or a Giant eyeball staring at you from the sky or something like that.
Josh:It's just...
Josh:A planet!
Josh:The lighthouse shoots down and lands just in the middle of a forest.
Josh:And you've just come to rest in this forest.
Josh:Ichter says, Alright, we're here.
Josh:This is, um... Yes?
Jorge:What's the name of this place?
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:It's Ferret, guys.
Jorge:It's so Ferret.
Noah:a normal planet.
Josh:I don't know how else to describe it.
Josh:It's a weird planet.
Jorge:There was a crack.
Jorge:There was a crack.
Josh:There was a crack, yes.
Josh:It cracked open the crystal sphere to go onto the planet.
Jorge:Yeah, yeah.
Jorge:Now the external gods can come in.
Jorge:Oh, this is very nice, though.
Jorge:Uh...
Jorge:Are we going to walk around a little bit, or do you guys want to just throw everything back?
Josh:Like, full disclosure, if you guys walk around now, you're not near any civilization.
Jorge:Oh, yeah.
Jorge:No, I don't actually expect us to continue in-game.
Jorge:I just wanted to, like...
Noah:Take a short walk.
Noah:Probably realize we're nowhere near civilization.
Noah:Get bored.
Josh:The lighthouse landed in the middle of nowhere on purpose.
Josh:It's not trying to be discovered.
Josh:But yeah, you're just in a forest.
Josh:Nothing particular significant about it, I think.
Josh:I will allow a single arcana check if you like, just to get vibes of the planet.
Jorge:I do an esoteric check.
Mike:I love us.
Josh:Yeah, I'll allow an esoteric check.
Josh:That's fine.
Jorge:So did someone just send?
Jorge:Is that what we hear?
Jorge:Or do you guys just have a spiky sound?
Jorge:Sorry.
Josh:Hikto will say, we're here because the lighthouse wanted to be here.
Jorge:OK.
Josh:I do not tell it why it makes decisions, it just does.
Josh:46 and 46.
Jorge:Beautiful.
Josh:And Divex is also finding someone, apparently.
Josh:I just noticed that your original 46 was for initiative.
Josh:So Divex squares up.
Mike:Well...
Josh:Yeah, I think the only thing you would get with a 46 wandering around is that when you're on Althane, there are depending on where you are, 13 to 14 distinct sources of magical energy.
Jorge:Thank you.
Josh:In that, each of the 12 realms, the 13th realm gave off its own light, and then you could also derive light from Ilkheim and the Deep.
Josh:But if you concentrated and you were particularly focused on the magic there, you could see the individual 13 to 14 strands of magic energy combining into the light that filled up the planet.
Josh:This place is ever so slightly different.
Josh:There are...
Josh:really six frequencies that you can pick out.
Josh:There's a bit of, like, weird blending.
Josh:They're not nearly as distinct as the, like... On all things, it's discrete sources of energy.
Josh:Here, it's kind of more of a gradient.
Josh:But there are still peaks.
Josh:There are six individual peaks.
Josh:But other than that, you're just on a planet.
Noah:Yeah, Jorge, yeah.
Tanner:All right.
Josh:Jorge is counting.
Jorge:I guess this meant that this didn't cause the crack that made all the gods there, or they got here really fucking quick.
Noah:I have the PDF pulled up.
Mike:Fair enough.
Mike:I thought it was just a nature.
Jorge:So I guess the gods are already here.
Jorge:I don't know.
Mike:What did you say, Noah?
Noah:We'll find out in two years, real time.
Mike:Oh, I thought it was just the interior is very hard for divine beings to access, so you have to crack it.
Jorge:Well, yeah, but I wasn't sure if this was the crack.
Jorge:Lev is going to... Is there like... I want to carve into a tree.
Jorge:Just live meal.
Josh:Yeah, there's plenty of trees.
Josh:You landed in a forest, you can do that.
Jorge:I will write live meal.
Jorge:And... Wait a second.
Josh:And the bats in a heart.
Jorge:No, I'm going to leave my bat.
Jorge:I'm kidding.
Mike:I leave my staff of the Magi.
Mike:I communicate to one being on this realm, and then I leave.
Noah:I leave a bunch of hyper-advanced technology lying around.
Josh:Sure.
Noah:Leave one full Dawn engine.
Noah:You never know.
Josh:That you were just carrying around in your back pocket in case you found another Thessian corpse.
Josh:Could happen.
Noah:Big Astro.
Josh:Yeah.
Jorge:Yeah, that's... Yeah, you know, I'm going to leave... I don't know.
Jorge:I feel like I'm a thaumaturge.
Jorge:I have a bunch of weird books.
Jorge:Just leave some literature.
Josh:Sure, absolutely.
Jorge:Just leave.
Josh:You've landed on a new planet.
Josh:You don't know if they have knowledge of the outside astra, and you are absolutely seething that to be present as like some kind of alien artifact.
Jorge:Yep, yep.
Josh:Sure.
Josh:Great.
Jorge:I'm not going to leave any items, because I don't know how that'd play out, and I don't want to be having to roleplay if it's there or not.
Josh:Up to you.
Jorge:I'm not going to do that.
Jorge:I also don't think Lev would be like, oh, let me just leave my high-level items here anyway.
Mike:Actually, that's a good point.
Mike:Dawn, would you be able to assist Divex in leaving... Divex wants to leave a magical device that can be used to contact Divex, but they can only be activated by a sufficiently high-level magical being.
Josh:Yeah, I mean, you guys are, like, the lighthouse is not kicking you out.
Noah:Yeah.
Josh:You're welcome to stay as long as you like.
Josh:So if you want to take a few days just to build some machinery to fuck with the local inhabitants, that's fine.
Josh:If you wanted to do that, that's okay.
Mike:Well, it's more like leaving an encrypted... They're getting serious there.
Jorge:Or we could show up and just make cults.
Mike:They were able to talk to me, and then Divex can show up and kill them.
Josh:Yeah.
Josh:No, that's totally fine.
Josh:Wow.
Noah:I don't know.
Mike:Hmm.
Noah:This is interesting.
Tanner:Why can't we just leave these poor people alone?
Noah:All right, let's go home.
Tanner:I should have left him inside the deep.
Josh:This is the second time in ten minutes Lev has suggested making a cult.
Jorge:Levy will be back.
Jorge:But for now, let's go back to Ulfheim.
Jorge:You got some stuff to do.
Josh:I think we've been talking to Marzo too much.
Mike:Yeah.
Jorge:Marza would love this place.
Jorge:All right, gentlemen.
Josh:Terrible.
Jorge:Let's go home.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:Yeah, so the lighthouse isn't moving anymore.
Jorge:Oh, one thing.
Josh:You do have to...
Jorge:Cataclysm.
Jorge:I'm kidding.
Noah:See, I have the spell I got.
Mike:No.
Josh:Just like the forest.
Noah:I have the spell.
Noah:I got to cast this spell.
Tanner:Now... We... Oh yeah, go ahead.
Josh:You guys can head back through the lighthouse and then follow the anchor waves back onto Ulfheim, if you like.
Jorge:I said one thing I would like to do.
Jorge:I would like to go ask Henrik if I could meet his mom.
Tanner:We can definitely go visit my mother, yes.
Tanner:Now, we, I believe, still have a favor to call in in which we can address the entirety of Althane.
Josh:That's true.
Mike:Hell yeah.
Josh:You guys didn't end up using them.
Jorge:So I have an idea about this.
Tanner:Is that something we want to do?
Mike:Yes, we would like to revert any sort of mass... They watched a moon collide.
Tanner:Yeah.
Noah:Yeah, we probably should discuss this.
Tanner:Yeah.
Josh:Hmm?
Josh:Well...
Josh:So for what it's worth, you guys make it back to Althane.
Josh:And the biggest change is Ilkain is gone out of the night sky.
Josh:It did not make the transition with you.
Josh:You have the 12 realms orbiting around just Althane now.
Josh:No 13th realm.
Josh:That didn't make the trip.
Josh:No Ilkain, because that was...
Josh:destroyed by the 13th realm, slamming into it, and there weren't enough salvageable pieces to bring with you.
Josh:And also, I mean, like, you're not there right now, but if you were to go to Illyara, the Crystal Point Lattice is just gone.
Josh:Just, like, excised.
Tanner:I wonder what's going on with him right now.
Jorge:I have an idea.
Josh:Yeah, so the thing is, you all got moved into, like, a prison of the lighthouse, so now just floating in space are the remains of Ilkind, the 13th realm, and then, like, 200,000 kilometers away, just in space, is a single, like, crystal lattice that is the Crystal Point Lattice.
Jorge:And the floating quarry is over.
Josh:So the quarry are in the Crystal Point Lattice.
Josh:You guys never really did that story thread at all, but the Crystal Point Lattice is being piloted by a quarry, which is why you weren't allowed to say the word quarry.
Jorge:Oh, that's where all of it... Yeah.
Noah:Hmm.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:You all just assumed it was Ashmont doing something fucky with the word quarry, and it wasn't.
Josh:Completely unrelated.
Jorge:So, I have an idea.
Jorge:We have a few allies.
Jorge:We should probably reach out.
Jorge:Honestly, we have one ally that I would actually call an ally.
Jorge:The other one are loose acquaintances.
Jorge:I think we go to Tharope.
Jorge:We talk to the man.
Jorge:Hopefully he made Mayor Desmond his head bodyguard.
Jorge:We talk to him.
Jorge:We then go to his castle.
Jorge:We give him a briefing of what happened.
Jorge:We send out a message to all of Althein.
Jorge:And we go, leaders of Althein, we did this, we did that.
Jorge:Leaders of Althein, please come to Tharope and we shall have the first meeting for the new Althein.
Jorge:And then we do that.
Jorge:We chat there.
Tanner:What do we call it?
Mike:I like that.
Jorge:It's a good meetings point.
Tanner:Like the council of all things?
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Ooh, I like that.
Jorge:We could do that.
Jorge:Be really, really crazy.
Jorge:Also probably booming for Tairo Pay, hopefully.
Jorge:And then we can explain to people what happened.
Jorge:We can explain the queries that were in there.
Jorge:We explain the Feep.
Jorge:We explain the...
Jorge:All of this, you know?
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:And then after, hopefully everything dies down, and when everything dies down, I'm going to go meet your parents, because I think it would be nice to chat with both of them, you know?
Noah:The cycle.
Jorge:And I wonder if they're dressed like you, you know?
Noah:Well, we just haven't come to therapy.
Noah:Dearly does all thing.
Noah:And also Enric's parents.
Jorge:And Divex, they're an arm, too.
Mike:Yeah, that makes sense.
Jorge:What do you guys say?
Jorge:And then we lead Altair into a new era.
Mike:Sure.
Tanner:Yes.
Mike:How many days until the council?
Tanner:Well, we've got to give people time to travel, because not everyone, you know.
Jorge:uh yeah give it 100 days or something
Noah:I think we just say, dear people of Althane, we are the Weft.
Mike:Yeah.
Tanner:Now, my question is, in our mass message to all the people of Althane, how much of the curtain do we pull back?
Mike:So...
Tanner:Or are...
Noah:We have all the answers regarding it.
Noah:ill kind and what happened to it.
Noah:The cycles are over.
Noah:Leaders of all things, I'm going to speak directly to you if you would like to know more, come to Thyropay on this date.
Jorge:And we mentioned we destroyed the deep.
Jorge:That will give us courage, you know?
Jorge:Oh, we should also mention we're Mithril in the guild.
Jorge:Well, I don't know what Josh is going to make us actually write out this message, but I feel like Lev's actually charismatic.
Mike:Sure.
Josh:I'm not making you read out this message.
Jorge:We're just going to be like, hey, guys, here's our kind of credentials.
Jorge:Enough that they can Google us or bark us.
Noah:They're going to look us up and be like, wow, these guys talked to no one for 10 years and then blew up the moon?
Jorge:And then...
Noah:Tangling's got number two.
Jorge:They're looking us up and just watching our... Okay, so they killed some rats.
Jorge:They killed a sand serpent?
Jorge:They killed a fungus city?
Jorge:Okay.
Mike:Why is this labeled God number one?
Jorge:And then they killed the... We've had three.
Mike:They're going to kill more than one?
Mike:I hope they make friends with one of the gods, because if they just kill all the gods they encounter, I'm worried.
Josh:This is... Okay, so... You guys write out the message.
Noah:Oh, Aaron.
Jorge:Yep.
Jorge:And that's generally what I would like to do.
Mike:So...
Jorge:Broad strokes.
Josh:Um... Don... Yeah, the Baron's fine with it.
Jorge:Wait, is the Baron okay with this?
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:Which, by the way, Barrett is the mayor.
Jorge:Yes!
Josh:He won his election.
Jorge:This does look like a cool bodyguard.
Jorge:Wait, we could also... No, no, no.
Josh:Do you want Desmond to be his bodyguard?
Josh:I didn't know that was something you wanted for Desmond.
Tanner:I feel like Desmond can have a higher station than that.
Jorge:Is his wife so happy?
Jorge:Yes.
Jorge:No, no, no, I know.
Jorge:But it's like Desmond has his wife and everything.
Jorge:It's great.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:Sure, yeah.
Tanner:Now, if he's mayor, do you not call him baron for the time that he's mayor?
Jorge:Liv's like, my wife's going to kill me.
Tanner:Does mayor supersede baron as a title?
Josh:He's Mayor Barron.
Jorge:Amazing.
Tanner:Fair.
Tanner:I mean, he gets to choose.
Tanner:It's kind of like the Pope.
Josh:It's hyphenated.
Josh:You draft your message.
Josh:Don calls in the favor from the bifurcated man who doesn't show up in person to grant you this favor.
Josh:You just know that the next words you say will be heard by everyone on the planet.
Josh:You say, we are the weft.
Jorge:Non-Oreskian-esque set.
Jorge:I just want to put that out there.
Josh:Sure.
Jorge:I think that would scare people, so I'm not doing that.
Noah:what we practice.
Josh:You say, we are the weft.
Josh:And then it cuts to credits.
Jorge:Yes.
Jorge:And then in the credit scenes, there's Lemur drinking some tea with Henrik's parents.
Jorge:Henrik's mom.
Jorge:Oh, yes.
Jorge:Oh, this is... He looks so good as a child.
Jorge:Oh, my God.
Jorge:I could see the little dimples.
Tanner:Her name is Dahlia.
Mike:Well...
Josh:So... They are no longer tainted with Nox.
Jorge:Talia.
Jorge:You make the best pierogi dahlia.
Jorge:And these borscht...
Josh:Actually, they probably still are tainted with Nox blood.
Noah:didn't.
Josh:But that's fine.
Josh:Yeah, so congrats.
Josh:I think this is another campaign in the books.
Josh:How do you guys want to handle the ending?
Josh:Because if you recall last session, you guys gave me like a little bit of blurbs of what you wanted your characters to do after the end.
Josh:And then we kind of like did a mini session where we walked through them.
Jorge:you
Josh:Does that sound reasonable to you to do again?
Josh:Just to like look at, see the epilogue, so to speak?
Noah:Yeah.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:Okay.
Josh:I am also, at this point, an open book for any outstanding questions you have about this campaign, assuming it doesn't apply to campaign three.
Josh:So, you know, we'll see.
Josh:But I think, in general, the plan should probably be before next week, assuming Monday still works for everybody.
Josh:Get me some idea of how you want your character to exist post-Killing the Deep and all of that stuff.
Josh:And then also, it would be useful if you guys could message either in chat or me personally or whatever NPCs that you care about and would like to follow up on in some fashion.
Josh:I don't know if there are that many from this campaign compared to the first one, just by virtue of how this campaign played out.
Josh:But, you know, if there is anybody you're curious about, we can talk about them a little bit.
Jorge:Most of the other characters are just mine.
Josh:Yeah, right.
Josh:Like, if you want to find out what happened to Jorge's character and Jorge's character and Jorge's character, we could go over that.
Josh:But if there were any non-Jorge characters you were curious about, we could do that, too.
Tanner:Yeah, we got to hear about Uncle Swordarms.
Mike:Why?
Jorge:I also.
Josh:He did make the trip.
Josh:Sonic made it into the lighthouse prison, so he's around.
Jorge:I do want to know.
Jorge:about the grapes?
Jorge:Just whatever.
Josh:What about the grapes do you want to know?
Jorge:What good information could we have gotten if we did do that?
Josh:The grapes were grown over the course of multiple cycles, so you could have learned stuff from previous cycles, which probably would have been most useful in getting information about the 13th realm, or how ascension works, or figuring out changes now that the deep was present, and that kind of stuff.
Jorge:Gotcha, gotcha.
Jorge:okay what what was up with that weird with the soul cage and that lady and those those chunky cords were those all to other rescue and things or gotcha
Josh:But they were just information grapes.
Mike:That made me fish him, man.
Josh:Well, they were very powerful magic.
Noah:strong grapes.
Josh:They were all to the beacon.
Josh:They had an active contract with Oresk to revive them if you had killed them.
Josh:It just didn't come into play because you didn't kill them.
Josh:And...
Josh:You guys ended up not going back.
Josh:There was a moment when you guys had teleported into the Leviathan because you wanted to beat up Udon or whatever.
Josh:And you were talking about maybe going back to find Boride.
Jorge:Does...
Josh:Both Boride and his wife died when you broke the beacon.
Noah:Oh, what was going on in the Gulch where they were sewing all those souls back together, but they were just a bunch of little tiny cords?
Josh:Which you would have discovered if you had gone looking for him, but it just ended up happening that you didn't.
Josh:Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Josh:Those were quarry that were getting a physical form by writing themselves into a corpse.
Mike:I'll get you ready to buy the Crystal Pine Ladders.
Jorge:And they were tethered to the lattice, right?
Josh:Yeah.
Noah:Boo.
Jorge:Why?
Jorge:Were they going to try to go for the beast?
Josh:So the Crystal Point Lattice had this whole B-plot that you guys somehow managed to dodge around four or five times over the course of the campaign, where it was reaching out to Thessians that it thought were alive because it was firmly in the camp of trying to bring the Dark Bramble back to power.
Josh:Um...
Josh:It was present when the Dark... It came with the Dark Bramble.
Josh:The group of quarry came with the Dark Bramble and had been trying to revive them for years.
Josh:They're why Nox was awake.
Noah:you
Josh:Because the Crystal Point Lattice had woken it up.
Mike:That's so... That's so funny.
Mike:That's like, because if you're the Crystal Point Lattice, you're like, oh, oh, Adventure Group almost caught me.
Mike:Thank God we can keep working on the plan now.
Mike:What?
Mike:They've killed another.
Mike:Do they even know the plan that I'm working on?
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:What?
Mike:They took care of another.
Mike:What the hell's going on?
Mike:And then all of a sudden you're in the middle of space.
Mike:Like, how did they, without even figuring out what's going on, they decided I was bad?
Josh:Spread the dream throughout the gulch and then probably beyond.
Mike:Like, this is like...
Tanner:Well, no, someone told us that... Yeah.
Mike:Oh, yeah, no.
Mike:The Crystal Point Lattice was working, I guess, in favor of the Dark Bramble, and that was enough for us.
Mike:We're like, mm-hmm.
Noah:What was Grimm's... Like, if we hadn't shown up, what was Grimm gonna do?
Josh:Grimm was a very simple character.
Josh:Grimm very much wholeheartedly believed that his haven was just better than living regular life, and so had a moral imperative to spread it to as many people as possible to ensure that they could all be happy.
Josh:He was very straightforward in his goals, which, like...
Tanner:Would that have eventually brought him to a point of ascension, or was he not gaining power through the spreading?
Josh:culminated in Haven and Dead Man's Veil for a very short period of time being under the dream.
Josh:And then, you know.
Josh:That would have eventually brought him to a point of ascension, but, like, on the order of decades.
Josh:Like, not during the time of the campaign.
Josh:That was never a worry.
Josh:But, like, yes, if he had spread it out enough, absorbed enough energy from Beast, he would have ascended.
Jorge:What about that bug?
Josh:But that would have been put to a stop earlier because the Deep would have told Kharkov to tell him to cut that out.
Jorge:Where did that come from?
Jorge:The archive?
Josh:The Lighthouse.
Jorge:Oh yeah, Lighthouse.
Jorge:Okay, so then two final questions from me.
Jorge:Were there any... Okay, what's the biggest cliff... What's the biggest...
Jorge:I guess like hooks that we just ignore.
Jorge:Like we just, was there anything you're like, I can't believe you guys just didn't open that one final door.
Jorge:Was there anything crazy like that?
Josh:So, I mean, I don't think there was anything particularly crazy.
Josh:There was a plot thread relatively early on when you guys were going to the Gulch.
Josh:If you remember the Kulikon, that, like, firebird that you guys dealt with had a palladium rod jammed into its spine, and then later on there was that Grim Reaper thing that had a palladium spike jammed into its spine.
Noah:Mm-hmm.
Jorge:Yep.
Josh:And you guys found both of the spikes and then collectively said, Neat!
Josh:Palladium spikes!
Josh:And then didn't attempt to figure out why they were sent after you or what they were doing or whatever.
Josh:If you had explored the ziggurat that Beast was on, you would have found the animal pens and stuff that they were in.
Jorge:All right.
Josh:Because the...
Josh:The first house had been doing experimentation with that, that you guys accidentally put a stop to when you killed Grib and chased the first house out of the gulch.
Josh:But I think that was maybe a threat I expected you guys to be a bit more dogged in following, and then you just didn't, and it ended up not being an issue anymore.
Josh:Right, exactly.
Jorge:It didn't have money.
Jorge:There was no money to be gained.
Jorge:There was just some assassins.
Josh:I'm trying to think if there was anything else relatively large that you missed.
Jorge:Oh, what about Dahl?
Jorge:Where was Dahl?
Jorge:Can you tell us that?
Josh:Oh, yeah, so Dahl is not on all things.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:If you had, there was a chance relatively early on, if you guys had gone to Iliara instead of to the Gulch, like after leaving Teleros in the very beginning of the game, because that was one of the options, you could have tried to hunt down the orb from the annex.
Josh:Um...
Josh:If you had gone there, it would have been difficult for you to get into the Annex.
Josh:So the 13th Realm would have aided you in the form of either controlling somebody or sending down an Autoc disguised as a person to help get you access.
Josh:Which, if you had followed along that thread enough, would have given you the option to ally with the 13th Realm much earlier than you...
Josh:really had the options in this campaign, and might have... I was always planning on having a segment where you guys had to leave Althane to go to some other sphere.
Josh:It just didn't have to be Syrin.
Josh:If you had sided with the 13th Realm, then the 13th Realm would have sent you to a different sphere to find a piece required to repair some system in the 13th Realm that would have allowed them to...
Jorge:Gotcha.
Josh:either aid the cycles or stop the cycles or something along those lines, depending on what you guys were going for at that point in time.
Josh:And you could have bumped into Dahl if you went to that other sphere.
Jorge:Gotcha.
Josh:But, like, the campaign clearly took a completely different route from that, so it just didn't happen.
Josh:Which is fine.
Josh:Dahl is still around.
Josh:He's functionally immortal.
Josh:So, yeah.
Noah:Was that flying ship captain that we ran into, was that Lycia?
Josh:Uh, no.
Josh:No, you guys just decided that she was Lycia.
Josh:Completely unrelated.
Josh:No, um... Captain Deleth has nothing to do with Lycia except that she was also a woman and, like, liked luck.
Jorge:That's still funny.
Jorge:That is.
Tanner:All right.
Tanner:You don't need to make us look bad like that, Josh.
Noah:No, it's not pretty bad.
Jorge:That's amazing.
Josh:Like, she wasn't even a wizard.
Josh:She didn't cast spells.
Jorge:I thought her brain was wiped.
Jorge:That's why she no longer has wizard.
Noah:You didn't find me missing.
Josh:She missed these, like, twice.
Noah:That's all it is.
Josh:Like, I understand the connection because she wasn't using the Pathfinder ruleset.
Josh:Like, it's not crazy, but she was not Lycia.
Josh:In that, Deleth has a connection to the narrative by Oranga.
Jorge:yeah is there any I was thinking I was thinking this would be a fun one shot of trying to sneak into the
Josh:Lycia was just a time wizard.
Josh:No connection to the narrative at all.
Tanner:Now, we still have Hallie and Tenno.
Josh:Correct.
Tanner:And they've not been returned their memories anywhere.
Josh:Nope.
Tanner:What do we do about that?
Jorge:what's it called?
Josh:The cave homeworld is Orbits-Upon-Light.
Jorge:Orbits of Unlight to getting their memories rebooted.
Jorge:I think that would...
Josh:Sneaking in, getting their memory.
Tanner:Or is that what has to happen?
Josh:Well, so, in order to get the memories that they had lost while on Althane, they'd have to get the most recent backup from a repository somewhere.
Josh:Which means either some Sundom repository, or from Orbits-Upon-Light, which definitely has a backup.
Josh:So... You've got parts, it's just like none of them have the data required.
Jorge:That'd be a real fun one shot.
Tanner:We've got all these trip ship parts.
Jorge:Unless you...
Noah:Thank you.
Josh:like, Althane is not going to have a copy of their memories.
Josh:You'd have to go elsewhere in the astral.
Josh:Not necessarily to Orbits-Upon-Light, but you could go to Orbits-Upon-Light.
Tanner:So they're just... Can we get them the memories from earlier in the campaign back?
Josh:Excuse me.
Josh:No, those are gone.
Josh:They degrade over time, and they spent, like, a year away from them.
Tanner:We're all they know now.
Josh:So... True.
Jorge:Why... This is probably a spoiler.
Jorge:Where was Kharkov's teleporter going and why?
Josh:The one that he was using the cave for?
Josh:It was... I know.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:It's okay.
Jorge:I'm assuming Old Thessia.
Josh:It was aimed for where the Deep told him Old Thessia was in the core of the asteroid.
Jorge:You don't have to... Okay.
Josh:They never actually got to walk through it, so we don't know to what extent that was true, but that was the intent.
Josh:Yeah.
Noah:Was the... We found something in the lighthouse that got us all TPK'd and then saved by the Menhir.
Josh:Uh, no.
Noah:Was that going to Ultessia?
Josh:That was, uh... If you guys recall, that chord...
Josh:If you recall going through the warehouse, you always found a cord next to some artifact from the sphere.
Jorge:Oh shit.
Josh:The artifact that you found next to that cord was a totem, which you learned was a focal point for praying to an entity called the Iridescent Host.
Josh:That cord would have taken you to the Godhome.
Noah:uh oh
Josh:Which is why it would have been probably a TPK.
Jorge:cool cool cool cool cool cool did you foresee one of us taking the fragment like did you expect that or did you always expect to go to yeah
Josh:Oh, like after killing the Thieb?
Josh:Yeah, no, I 100% expected one of you to jump for it.
Noah:I did message Josh at one point saying I was going to take the fragment.
Josh:I was expecting somebody to jump for it.
Josh:The fact that it ended up going to Tek instead was mildly surprising to me.
Tanner:How would we have played the last couple sessions?
Jorge:Knew it.
Tanner:Would that character have just been gone?
Josh:Yeah, I think we would have had to bring up another character for that person to control, because that character is not participating anymore.
Tanner:But they have Will.
Josh:They do have will, but there are restrictions on the echo fragment that Tech bumped into when he captured it.
Tanner:Hmm.
Josh:You can't just go around doing stuff willy-nilly.
Josh:Which is also why the Feep was not just going in and wrecking shit.
Tanner:Yeah.
Jorge:Yeah.
Tanner:Aw, so we ruined tech.
Tanner:Poor guy, he's stuck.
Josh:No, Tech isn't stuck.
Josh:I don't know what, like, possible dialogue trait could have led here, but, um... Ikto would have told you if you had asked, like, what about tech or whatever.
Josh:He struck a deal with the Lighthouse.
Josh:He was not on all things.
Josh:Uh, when it, um... Correct.
Jorge:Oh.
Tanner:Well, we couldn't have asked, because we don't know who he is.
Noah:was was the running into the harrow was the corpse of the archive and learning about the harrow and everything was that just sort of like a fun larger astra thing or is there ever a chance we're going to run into the harrow
Josh:That's fair.
Jorge:Mike, you're muted if you're talking.
Mike:I don't think I am.
Josh:No, he was just making faces.
Mike:I'm just saying, I'm just, I guess.
Josh:Running into the Harrow.
Josh:If you had taken the other route of the campaign, like allied with the 13th realm, left Altheid, you might have bumped into it.
Josh:But I did not expect you guys to interact with the Harrow in any form in this campaign.
Josh:That was just more of a, this might be fun to use in the future type deal.
Noah:Cool.
Jorge:What the fuck was up with the fungus from the other continent?
Jorge:Is the other continent just overrun with fungus people?
Josh:Like, on Althein?
Josh:Yeah, there's a... Not the whole continent, but there is a part of it that is a Giant fungal forest.
Jorge:Yeah.
Jorge:Okay.
Mike:What was the blue fungus on Elkine?
Josh:The, like, representation of the Prybort... The deep used to...
Josh:before it was corrupted in the way that it was and died and reborn and all of that kind of stuff.
Josh:It was originally that blue fungus.
Josh:So that's a representation of the actual true Carcosa, the city in yellow that he was trying to build, which did not match up with what he, in his corrupted state, was building.
Jorge:Oh, Karkoff.
Josh:So you were kind of overriding it with the correct truth.
Mike:Sorry, keep going.
Josh:That was kind of the end of that sentence.
Mike:Tech struck a deal with the Lighthouse.
Mike:The Lighthouse then decides that it is done in Althane and it immediately moves across the Astra at a blazingly fast speed.
Mike:I'm going to guess Tech gave some of his portfolio to the Lighthouse so he could leave.
Josh:I couldn't tell you.
Mike:Damn it.
Jorge:Well, this was fun.
Mike:What was in the vault in the soul cage?
Josh:Just like a bunch of really high-level magic items.
Mike:Oh, okay.
Josh:Like, no, nothing lore-relevant, nothing game-breaking, just like a bunch of high-level items.
Josh:And a ton of money.
Jorge:It would have been so funny if we teleported to the vault, killed them, and then took the teleporter to the solid cage vault.
Jorge:We should have done that!
Jorge:We're so stupid!
Tanner:Well, we completed the task at hand with what we had, so I think it's fine.
Jorge:We could have gotten two vaults!
Josh:I repeat what I asked last session.
Jorge:No, we could have had two vaults!
Jorge:We're so stupid!
Josh:What more could you want for your character?
Noah:you
Josh:And I mean this seriously.
Josh:Was there an item that you were missing that could have tied your whole build together?
Josh:Or did you just want to see the number next to your gold pieces go up?
Jorge:So I know that you don't really make that many items, but I still kind of hope that if I go into a vault, there's just something I could have.
Jorge:It's just beyond my wildest dreams.
Josh:That's true.
Jorge:Yes.
Jorge:All right.
Mike:I got it during the last fight, so.
Jorge:You what?
Josh:When you went to the other planet with the lighthouse, the staff just blew up.
Josh:Sorry.
Noah:Oh.
Mike:Oh.
Jorge:Well, we could remake it.
Mike:Don't give... Well, yeah.
Mike:Actually, that was my plan.
Mike:I figured we would have been naked after the moon hit because we grew back but our clothes didn't.
Mike:And I was going to ask Don to use his crafting ability to fashion a bag of some sort out of something.
Mike:And then I would have just shoveled a bunch of dust into it and hoped when we go somewhere else I can use 10th level remake and just start remaking all of our items from the dust.
Josh:Yeah, I didn't want to deal with the administration required to remove all of your equipment and stuff from your characters and figure out what that means for stats and stuff.
Josh:So you got to keep it.
Mike:Thank you.
Josh:That's fine.
Jorge:This is very nice.
Josh:But yeah.
Jorge:This is very cool.
Josh:So we did it.
Jorge:Very good campaign.
Josh:I have a feeling that the epilogue next session is not going to be...
Josh:long enough to fill up a whole session.
Josh:So I feel like we should probably do a one-shot to fill the space.
Jorge:OK.
Jorge:Cool.
Josh:I don't want to take time away from any of you, so I figure I'll run a one-shot in that span, and then we'll do a month or two of you guys running one-shots while we get ready for the next campaign.
Tanner:Thank you.
Josh:We'll have to hook Sam in for at least one of them if she wants to.
Jorge:You could ask her about next one if you want.
Josh:I don't want to do the next one just because I don't want to have to teach for the next one.
Josh:Maybe the week after or something like that.
Josh:Next time it rotates around to me.
Josh:So I'll give you more details on what kind of characters to roll up for next session.
Josh:You guys tell me what you want your characters to have done and any NPCs you care about or don't care about that they die painful deaths.
Josh:Anything of that nature.
Jorge:Cool, cool, cool.
Jorge:Cool, cool, cool.
Josh:Thanks for playing a whole extra campaign again.
Jorge:One quick question.
Jorge:Yeah, sorry, one quick final question.
Tanner:Wow.
Jorge:Did the Deep sleep now, or is the Deep still active?
Josh:No, you straight up murdered that guy.
Jorge:Sorry, not the Deep.
Josh:Like, did he?
Jorge:Nox.
Jorge:Nox.
Josh:Oh, no, Knox is still active.
Jorge:OK.
Jorge:All right.
Tanner:Josh, way to go.
Tanner:This is crazy.
Noah:Yeah, thank you, Joe.
Jorge:Great job.
Noah:Twice a batch of that.
Mike:Yeah.
Josh:Yeah, like, according to the internet, this never happens, so I'm happy to have done it twice.
Noah:The lore is so deep.
Josh:It's a good time.
Tanner:And the lore runs deep and it's not over.
Josh:It does.
Josh:It's gonna suck for Sam.
Josh:I don't know how to possibly get her up to date with any of this.
Noah:So much lore.
Mike:It's going to be like the 80 Disney Plus starward shows where Gulp Shido will show up and all four of us will be like, no, it's the guy.
Josh:Yeah.
Mike:He served us coffee in campaign one.
Noah:Who is Dolly Parton and why does everyone love her?
Jorge:This is gonna... This is gonna feel like watching Disney Channel when you're a kid and just some random adult comes on and they're like... And everyone's clapping and then the adult's like... And there's like a three second... That's literally what it's gonna be like for her.
Mike:Fucking session 55.
Mike:Like Bill Cosby doing a cameo in Hannah Montana.
Mike:You're like, I don't know who this is.
Josh:Uriel?
Jorge:It'll almost be like...
Jorge:Oh, did our boy, the Traveler Thessian, get out?
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:Yeah.
Mike:Yeah.
Mike:Oh, yeah, we.
Josh:Yeah, you know that already.
Jorge:No, he got out of Ulfheim?
Josh:Yeah, you know that.
Jorge:We did?
Jorge:Oh, I thought he was Traveless.
Josh:Yeah, you guys met him in a one-shot on Færrin.
Noah:Yeah.
Jorge:I don't think I played that.
Noah:He was out there.
Josh:Sorry, yes, the... Right, the one that you nuked Raelion.
Jorge:Okay.
Noah:You were not there.
Jorge:Okay.
Josh:You did, before you nuked Raelion, you just met an old guy on a boat.
Mike:Yeah, we did some boat shenanigans.
Noah:It was fun.
Josh:You did do some bad shenanigans.
Noah:Oh, nannigans.
Jorge:Good night, gentlemen.
Mike:Goodnight.
Josh:See you all next Monday.
Jorge:See ya.
Mike:Yes.
