Everything dies. However, sometimes, something (or someone) tries to overstay their welcome or speed up the inevitable for others. The Heir abhors those who try to disrupt the proper circle of life. In days past, that disruption looked like strange creatures toiling over secret potions or enrobed figures sacrificing innocents -- but nowadays, that line is more blurred.
Razing forests to build a new factory? Breaks the circle of life. Draining some marshlands to extract the peat within? Breaks the circle of life. Replacing parts of one's body with metal facsimiles? Breaks the circle of life.
With "forward progress" constantly impinging on what should be a natural order, the Heir asks her worshippers to act as her hands and push the world back to its proper state. She calls them her Children, and they work to do her bidding.
How a Child interprets the Heir's command differs from person to person. Some become lobbyists and lawyers, acting to force the protection of nature within the bounds of the law. Others take a more extreme approach, bombing construction sites and enchanting the earth to fight back. All tend to take some animalistic or floral motif to identify their allegiance to the Heir.
