Nine years old and already carrying a permission slip that would turn heads among Belvedere's administrators, Benny is a student of that institution whose freedom of movement sits well outside what children are ordinarily granted — a special dispensation that raises more questions than it answers. His father, Atum, is a name that surfaces somewhere in Anzu's memory without quite resolving into a face, connected to Belvedere in some archival capacity. That the Pulse has taken an interest in keeping the boy alive does little to make the situation feel less unusual.
